Refuse to pay my tax reclaim out even tho I have written evidence from HMRC that they have it. Underpaid people I referred, won’t answer texts or calls now and when they did there was a different excuse each time for where the money was.

P*ss poor service
P*ss poor service! Essentially refused to carry-out the service they've been paid for, requiring myself to contact HMRC to correct their errors (despite HMRC informing me that WMTR could have done so, as my named agent at the time).
Called to complain about the level of service, was told someone would get back in contact with me - no one did.
7 months later, receive a phone call today from an employee at WMTR asking why I stipulated that I would not refer them to any of my friends... why do you think? Told them my experience, basically said unless you're phoning to offer compensation for my poor service, your wasting my time, they duly put the phone down.
Find a local accountant that'll likely do it for you for half the price! That's what I do now with no issue
Don't use this company!!!
Don't use this company!!!! Those ads are not true!! Go through HMRC at least you get All your money. They make empty promises, their communication is horrible and it took 3 months!!!! From £388 as per letter from revenue. I got £240. Oh wow. Don't use this company!!!!!!!!
Facebook page is fraud
Facebook page is fraud - post your reviews on their wall so no-one else gets scammed!
ON FACEBOOK JUST SEARCH IN THE TAB AT THE TOP 'WORKMILEAGETAXREBATE'
They have over 22k likes which are clearly fake and bought from marketing!
Daylight robbery
Fees are hidden within T&C's and never mention in any communication.
I was due £1490 from HMRC and this company took over £550 as their processing fee!
Very greedy company
Very greedy company, they will take 90% of your refund
Terrible Company
Terrible Company. Comes across as the legit way to claim back your tax mileage, instead of being a third party company. There were also no obvious or transparent mention of fees, except buried deep within the T&Cs. I had my claim through weeks after it was supposed to arrive only to find out I had been deducted nearly half of my claim in charges I had no idea were even there. This company is little more than a Con to steal money off people who think this is the correct route to claim back tax. Do Not Use.

started online claim and put in my details then realised it might not be a good idea but it was too late, i did not answer any phone calls or text messages yet they sent me a bill for 94.00 for work carried out, has anybody else had the same thing going on?
AVOID AVOID AVOID - NOT HMRC
AVOID AVOID AVOID - NOT HMRC
Use the HMRC P87 form instead for the actual claims process
This company has managed to present itself as the route to claim back tax relief on working matters.
I signed up to this site on 02/04/2019 and filled all the details out. Only upon the confirmation email of "start of claim" are the terms of service made available which sets out all the charges. In other words; you'll pay significantly more to WMTR than you would potentially receive in any HMRC refund. The website creates the belief that the service is free of charge.
Called their number several times - they play musak at you for about 60 seconds and then hang up.
Contacted them in writing to advise them to immediately remove my details from their system as per their cancellation clause (10). Got back a "support ticket" reference.
The website makes no reference to charges or fees at any time, and it's buried in the T&Cs - avoid at all costs.
Cheque bounced
I first applied for my work mileage tax rebate back in April 18 having sold to me the agreement the rebate will be returned in longer than 12 weeks as part of the conditions which I signed up to.
The company was eager for my trade and I was well aware of the charges, As the company was acting on my behalf and claiming for items that I don’t think off as well as the extra work I was happy for them to go ahead.
The most frustrating part for me was the length of time it has taken and despite numerous phone calls chasing I was appalled by the level of customer care they gave. It seemed like once they had your claim all they can care about is taking there cut of the money and you come second.
7 months later the claim was processed and returned by the HMRC.... That is 30 weeks after their promised date!!
Despite numerous phone calls chasing my claim I was just payed lip service.
I received a letter with the cheque and they had taken £1k for their services which I feel was not appropriate due to their incompetence and disregard for the customer.
The worst experience for me was that I put the cheque in the bank to learn 3 days later it had bounced!! When I called they was surprised and said they would re issue a new cheque. The alarm bell raised as they only pay out cheques on payment runs on certain dates which says they are short of cash flow.
I was told They did not have the facility to complete a bank transfer as I would thought that would of been the easiest thing to do to manage the customers expectations after a cheque had bounced.
I still await the re issue of the cheque.... my claim was for 2.6k which was paid from the HMRC to them and WMTR had taken £900 for the privelage.
WMTR do not care for their customers and I would not reccomend their services to anyone. My advice is to take your time and complete the return yourself and gain the benefit of the fee as it certainly outweighs the service you will get.
I’m awaiting the cheque to be re issued but can’t help but feel I’m being ripped off, I will have to go to the office and get the money owed to me!!!
Ridiculous service..... Do not request their services!
Avoid this company
Avoid this company! I had ask them help at 24 January 2018 to get refunded about mileage at work, they delay the submition of the claim to HMRC on propose and them after 7 months with any kind of response after a lot of trying to talk with them they ask you money if you want to give up of the claim. If you call them after they send you a letter for you to call they record all the phone call to use against you in court in case you do not want to pay. In my case cos they did not submitted my claim at reasonable time I ask help to other company that efectivelly help me tax retriever Birmingham, and now work mileage rebate Leicester send me a bill of almost 700 pounds for I pay about a supposed work that they not did for me. Do not use this company they are not humans. So I ask for a tax rebate to get some money back after hard work as care assistant, they did not help me and in top of that they charge me for not help me. Thanks a lot, just to let you know that I am care assistant and 700 pounds make all the difference for I pay my monthly bill. I will get advice in citizens advice before I pay. Many Thanks.
Couldn’t give zero stars
Applied to this company, given an estimate. Left for months with very little contact, I had to phone them regularly, passed over to many clueless staff members who wouldn’t tell me anything, only to finally be billed instead of a payout.
No mention of the costs if my application wasn’t successful and expected to pay on the spot.
Out for themselves !!!!!!!
The company is dreadful treat clients awful high staff turn over the staff they have got no nothing about tax
Do not use
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY
I made an online application for 4 years back-dated work mileage and only when I received their T&C's via e-mail did I realise they are a third party organisation and not part of HMRC. They don't mention when you make the claim that they charge 29% of the total value of the claim + VAT subject to a minimum of £100 + VAT, which is daylight robbery. Fortunately you are required to sign and return a hard copy of the details you filled in online in order for the claim to be processed and as I didn't do this I could cancel my application. I suspect a lot of people will use this company in good faith on the understanding they are part of HMRC and I believe they should be legally obliged to make it clear they are not and be transparent regarding their pricing. Avoid.
