Joe and his team have been amazing from start to finish, it has been exceptional. We have had a bespoke shed, bin store and log store created and installed. Great to speak in person to Joe to clarify design elements, this was super helpful. Work was completed on time and to a really high standard. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Joe was brilliant and very creative when we encountered some problems in the positioning of our new log store. Despite difficult access and a limited space he overcame all the obstacles. We also love our log/bin store and would highly recommend the product and Joe.

I couldn’t be happier with our experience. From the very first enquiry through to delivery and installation, everything was handled with care, professionalism, and real pride in the work. The quality of the log store is exceptional, solid, beautifully finished, and clearly built to last. It looks fantastic and does exactly what it’s meant to do.

What really stood out was the service. Communication was clear and thoughtful throughout, and the installation was carried out efficiently and considerately. It was a pleasure dealing with people who clearly care about what they do and take the time to get things right.

I spent a long time looking for the right solution and I’m so glad I chose this company. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them — excellent craftsmanship, great service, and a genuinely positive experience from start to finish.

We paid £800 upfront for a bespoke log store, but during installation a visible gap was noted at the rear and side where it sits against the fence, and the unit was unstable and wobbled. The supplier, Frank & Pig was provided with photos in advance, which would have been shared with the manufacturer, Woodson & Son.

The installer, Joe arrived late and unprepared, without spare wood or appropriate tools to allow for any on-site allowances or even minor adaptations, and relied on my husband to help carry and position the log store. We had to supply a piece of wood ourselves to stabilise it, as the installer had none, and without it the installation would have been unsafe. He tried to dismiss the fact it wobbled by saying it would be fine when wood was stacked on it. While the wood we had to supply reduced the wobble and partially closed the gap, it remained visible, mismatched, and unsightly.

Initially, Frank & Pig who we placed our order with acknowledged the issue, stating, “I do appreciate how small details like this can stand out.” She suggested either disguising the gap with planting or arranging for the installer, Joe to return for a nominal fee when next in the area. We agreed to the installer returning for the nominal fee. However, within 72 hours she reversed this position after speaking with Woodson & Son and chose to focus solely on the cosmetic nature of the gap and referring to the wood we supplied as a “cosmetic, non-contractual” addition that “falls outside the agreed specification.” This ignored the fact that the wood was required for the safety and stability of the log store. Calls were deliberately ignored, and emails became cold, unhelpful, and obstructive. She suggested we hire another tradesman at our own expense, yet refused to provide details of the wood used, stating, “As the timber is supplied through our trade channels, we do not provide supplier links or sourcing details.” These details could have very easily been obtained; Woodson & Son could have been helpful in passing them on or they could have offered to sell us an extra piece of wood at a normal cost. We weren't asking for perfection, but were merely asking for the finish at the side to be improved.

Sadly, we cannot recommend Woodson & Son who operate independently, but also sell their products via Frank & Pig and would advise others to proceed with caution especially if ordering a bespoke item from them.

We note that you still have not supplied details of the timber required for the log store to be finished to an acceptable standard. This is unhelpful and obstructive.

We are also concerned about what would have happened had my husband not been available to help lift and position the log store, or how it would have been stabilised had he not supplied spare timber of his own. This should not have been our responsibility.

There is no reasonable excuse for this oversight. You were provided with photographs of the intended location prior to the order being placed. In any event, once the issue became apparent on the day, it could and should have been resolved. Options included a return visit for a nominal fee (as originally offered and later withdrawn), supplying matching timber, or providing sourcing details so the work could be corrected properly by a local tradesman. None of these requests were unreasonable.

It is disappointing that this matter has not been handled more proactively or professionally by either you or the retailer, and that after nearly a week of unproductive correspondence we have felt compelled to leave this review.

Referring to this as your first negative review is dismissive, comes across as arrogant and does not address the core issue. It was neither reasonable nor professional to rely on us to supply additional wood to stabilise an unsafe installation. Any temporary measure on the day should have been treated as such, pending a proper resolution.

Finally, the distance is neither here nor there. Our location was known when the order was accepted and cannot reasonably be relied upon as a justification for failing to address an issue that arose during installation, or you agreeing to a return visit when next in the area.

Highlighting past positive reviews does not resolve the specific failings in this installation, nor the inadequate support we have experienced.

Looked for a long while to find a proper wood store with absolutely great quality and this ticks every box…..from the help given when ordering to the great installation service everything was excellent 👍 Very happy customer

Joe was polite and friendly. He delivered our Doreen wood store on the agreed date and time. I’m really impressed with the quality of this solid wood store and love the reclaimed tile roof. I’m pleased to have supported this excellent family business.

We contacted Joe as we needed a bespoke log store in a small space. Joe made the log store to our dimensions. Great contact and updates along the way. On the day of installation Joe made it very easy and I have to say the quality of the build is amazing. Having had new roofs, new kitchens, new bathrooms he was a breath of fresh air. Thank you.

Excellent service and product, well built, well worth the money, this is far far better than the the rubbish they sell at B&Q etc and will last for years. Joe who installed it was a nice guy too despite the pouring rain. Also bet the stated 8 week lead which was an added bonus. Overall very happy

The design, the materials, not least the tiled roof, gives an aesthetic that is beautifully in keeping with my Grade II listed house. And then the guys arrive and professionally, thoughtfully and efficiently build the stores, in situ.

Worked to a bespoke design to our measurements - a really nice construction! Easy to deal with and programme in, would recommend!

This is the most substantial well made log store I have had, tried so many cheaper versions that didn’t work for me so when I saw the Lyra with the slated roof decided to get the job done properly. Joe was on time, friendly and helpful. My store is beautiful and fits in so nicely with my garden. I can’t stress the quality of Joes work enough. I’m impressed. Would definitely recommend Woodson and Son
