A nightmarish WT team at my local area

An incompetent nuisance team currently running the Smithills trust nowadays who are hated for senselessly hacking, graffitiing and destroying beautiful trees they don't consider as "native" or for lack of light reasoning, despite the trees have been a vital part of the woodlands for hundreds of years. Who are they to come over and interfere??? People have complained to the council about the WT. Their senseless act of stupidity, with setting up a giant carpark, clogging up rivers with dead branches and rampant tree destructions alike have left local residents and walkers awide outraged. The Woodland trust nowadays are traitors to the cause which were to protect woodlands for the future instead of destroying, ruining them especially during climate change! Oh the irony!

Excellent customer service

I made an error on the order for memorial tree. Savannah answered my call and dealt with it professionally and efficiently. She was so kind, patient and understanding. After consulting with a colleague she was able to amend my order and emailed me a confirmation as she promised. The service was exemplary. I managed to find a woodland close to the recipients home. The tree is is memory of her father & his faithful dog. Highly recommend this charity

Signed up to do my bit and report…

Signed up to do my bit and report wildlife seen in my garden pond.
This has to be the WORST ONLINE EXPERIENCE EVER.
The site is a complete joke compared to others, nothing seems to work as you would expect.
Sort it out guys (sack the overpaid IT crowd maybe??) as we DO want to help.

Excellent service

I ordered a tree dedication as an email but had problems with my printer. I contacted them and asked if I could have a printed copy. I received an immediate response and my request was dealt with in a helpful, friendly manner. I have bought these dedication in the past and would totally recommend the service.

I won’t shop at the Woodland Trust shop…

I won’t shop at the Woodland Trust shop again unless something changes. Ordered some hedging, 2 of 3 packages arrive. Was told it’s my responsibility to contact the courier, Woodland Trust can’t do anything. Did and was told by the courier that it’s the senders responsibility and they need more details from sender. Called Woodland Trust several times and at one point was told to count the items received! After a few more calls, finally told that I will likely receive missing items next week (could be a further 10+ days. The only way to escalate is to submit a complaint online and wait 48 hours for an answer. Hardly ideal with live plants. Preferred to buy from a charity that cares for the natural environment but have been put off by this experience.

Helpful experience at Hampton Court fayre 14th Dec

I spoke to a lovely ambassador/fundraiser at the Hampton Court Palace Fayre on the 14th who encouraged me to sign up to Woodland Trust, I can’t have asked for a nicer experience. As a mountaineerer and hiker myself, I was looking into signing up to the charity for a while and this was incredibly helpful.

Unfortunately I did not get his name, but the man I spoke to at the stall at Hampton Court (20s in age?) was wonderful and really informative about the charity- which ultimately led to me signing up after thinking about it for a while.

I really appreciate the great experience and please do pass on my thanks to who this may have been at the fayre! 😊 I’m looking forward to receiving my resources after signing up.

Problem: published address did not work

I used your published address and got a list of all past emails. However, they would not let me order any Christmas cards. When Itried again I was told that woodlandtrust does not exist! No efforts using the adversied address got any results, so I tried using @ insted of . in your email address, but there was no provision for payment.PLEASE send me cards as soon as possible, and let me pay without delay.

Unacceptably poor communication

Sadly I am leaving a very poor review for the charity that is The Woodland Trust. I have spent too much time trying to re-establish an existing arrangement with them where the communication has been non existent or unsatisfactory. Two emails sent months ago ignored and recently a call I was on suspended with the promise of a call back and no call back. I have been trying to call again but no-one available to take the call. Leaving this feedback as a wakeup call to the Woodland Trust as it would seem there is a general problem here. Good communication is a key requirement for any organisation; the Woodland Trust has considerable room for improvement

This is The way to deal with a complaint!

The product I had ordered through the Woodland Trust arrived promptly. Unfortunately there was a problem lighting the tealights. When I complained the matter was dealt with promptly and courteously. The tealights were replaced swiftly with a new set which worked well. As a supporter of the Woodland Trust, it was heartening to have the matter dealt with in such a positive manner. Thank you, Ava!

Queen hornet or queen wasp?

Sorry, pressed the wrong star! Should have been the fifth, not the first.
Very useful information from James. I had suspected the insect to be a queen hornet, but not certain. Good to get confirmation from the experts?
