I am writing this revieMy 1,000 Euro Disappointment with Wonder Wardrobes (Daria Andronescu)w to share my…

I am writing this review to share my experience with the 1,000 euro "Style Evolution Consultation" from Wonder Wardrobes, as I wish a review like this had been available to me before I purchased it.

For years, I followed Daria's content on YouTube and her podcast. I was a fan of her warm, supportive, and educational persona, which is what convinced me to invest in her expensive one-on-one service. I had already paid for her course but was struggling with specific challenges (aging, weight gain, a chaotic international move) and needed interactive, personalized help.

My experience, unfortunately, did not match the brand's marketing.

1. The Consultation Felt Impersonal and Rushed The service I received was not the collaborative, teaching-focused session I expected. The consultation call itself felt rushed, and my questions about styling my actual outfits were dismissed. I was told to just "focus on the basics" of the style guide. The 1,000 euro price tag set an expectation for a high-touch, personalized service, but what I received was a one-way presentation and a static, impersonal-feeling PDF guide that I will not be able to use.

2. The "Upsell" and Lack of Transparency The most frustrating part of this experience came after I paid. When I expressed my disappointment (politely) and explained I was looking for a more hands-on Q&A session about my own wardrobe, I was finally told about a separate "1-hour coaching session" priced at a fraction of the cost (around 200-300 euros).

This cheaper session was exactly what I had been looking for, but it was never mentioned in my 15-minute initial call. I was sold the 1,000 euro package without being made aware of a far more suitable and affordable option. It's hard to see this as anything other than a deliberate upsell.

3. The "Cold" Client Experience The warm, supportive persona from the videos was completely absent in our one-on-one interactions. My initial emails were met with curt, procedural replies. When I tried to resolve my disappointment, I was met with defensive corporate-speak and a flat refusal to even consider a partial refund.

Conclusion: I cannot recommend this service. I paid 1,000 euros expecting a premium, collaborative consultation and received a generic-feeling product and a dismissive client experience. I believe I was upsold on a service that did not match my needs, while a more appropriate, cheaper option was not disclosed to me.

I'd advise potential clients to be extremely clear about their expectations and to specifically ask about all available service tiers before committing, as what you see in the videos is not what I received as a client.

Dear Maya,

I’m truly sorry that the consultation didn’t meet your expectations. That is never my intention, and I appreciate you taking the time to share your experience.

For clarity, especially for future clients reading this: after our consultation, I offered to answer all your follow-up questions via email at no additional cost. When you shared that you preferred another 1:1 session instead, I mentioned the Coaching option simply as an alternative format. This wasn’t an upsell, but an attempt to give you both a free option and a paid option depending on the type of support you preferred.

The Style Evolution Consultation was recommended based on what we discussed during our initial call and was delivered in full, including preparation work, the session itself, and the personalised guide. I also offered continued support afterwards, beyond what the service includes.

I understand that we see this situation differently, and I respect that. I wish you the very best going forward.

Daria
