Fun, Adventure and loads of laughs!

The success of this experience was completely dependent on the skill level of our guides, Kat and Jo. Always at the mercy of the weather, a successful pivot needs the right people at the helm and with WEA, that’s what you get.
Highlights were plenty during this experience! The women were fabulous, the food was amazing and the laughs were constant. Wild Brumby lunch was a treat but the scenery… wow! I could rave for days and still not do the Women Embrace Adventure snowshoeing experience justice.

The whole experience was way above…

The whole experience was way above anything I could ever have imagined. Accommodation ,food was fantastic. From the minute 10 strangers met on the first evening at dinner everything was taken care of.Katherine and the crew made us all feel welcome and were encouraging. Even though there was unexpected snow she managed to change and adapt the itinerary. We had lots of laughs and by the end while saying goodbye there were tears as we had all become such a close group.
Thanks again for a fantastic and memorable week

Our pivoting snowy mountains adventure

Kat and Jo’s in depth knowledge and experience of the trek was invaluable. Their ability to unite all the participants into a cohesive group of women all sharing wonderful stories and experiences was present throughout our journey. This was augmented by the wonderful Celline and Karli who kept us all buoyant and positive. A truly wonderful uplifting and invigorating experience

Supportive team and a journey to remember

I joined my first WEA trip to the Snowy Mountains and it was a wonderful experience. Our leaders Kat and Jo were so encouraging and supportive during the hike. But it didn't stop when we returned to our lodge - they had goodies for us to eat, briefings and lots of laughs. Plans changed due to weather but this was the beauty of being part of a WEA trip - our leaders were on top of everything and changed as needed. I would recommend anybody to join a hike or trip. You'll have lots of fun!

Amazing Hobart and Port Arthur

I recently travelled to Hobart with Women Embrace Adventure. This is my second trip with them and I can’t wait to go on another. Everything ran like clockwork, no detail was overlooked and no expense spared. Some of our ladies air travel was delayed and Sharon had alternative arrangements sorted in no time. Fantastic accommodation, amazing food and a fun group of ladies.

Women Embrace Adventure are awesome

Women Embrace Adventure is the most amazing group to adventure with anywhere. So supportive, well organised and sensative to individual needs. Always fun and love that they push you out of your comfort zone but in a safe way. I have thoroughly enjoyed every adventure I have done with them, whether it has been a half day, full day or multi-day.

I had a great experience with WEA

I had a great experience with WEA. I was a first time kayaker and also on my own. I was made to feel welcome and from the start it was obvious that this company is about inclusion and making sure we were all having a good time. Everything was supplied including a morning tea which was more like a light feast. Great experience, great food and great company. Thank you Sharon for being my kayak buddy

Snowies Alpine Adventure

As always our adventures are very well planned. Our accommodation was great and a bonus was having the whole chalet to ourselves. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks were so good and plentiful. The weather conditions were unfortunate/or fortunate (however you look at it), therefore many pivot plans were adjusted as it became too dangerous to hike in those conditions. Mother Nature at its best!
I always enjoy my adventures with WEA and look forward to the next one.

Mother Nature turned in on for us

Mother Nature turned in on for us
Just to let us know who is the boss
The ladies were very professional and took safety as a number one priority.
They did well to keep us entertained in a difficult situation
Kat still looking for that clause!!!!

The beauty of accepting the Unexpected!

What an adventure! ❤️I had never been in this part of the country & was so excited to be finally visiting. Day 1 we were treated to snow. How exciting - I had never seen snow fall in Australia. But that snow just kept on falling. And falling! Our bush hike turned into snow hikes (thank goodness I had waterproof shoes) and most of our hikes were altered or cancelled due to the sheer volume of the snow. But - our fabulous Kat always had a Plan B (& C) & pivoted like a ballerina to get our group to where we needed to be. The beauty of what we saw was such a wonderful surprise. It was so special. The downside of this wonder was it was incredibly challenging (but rewarding) hiking in so much snow and sadly, it resulted in us not making Mt Kosciuszko summit. We got as far Rawsons Pass (in treacherous & exhausting conditions) when it was clear we could go no further. There was no visible track, there was an avalanche risk & safety for all trumped making any move past Rawsons Pass. How sad to only be 1.67km from the top but I trusted Kat & Jo and knew they’d have done anything to get us to the top. It was a tough call for them to make! But my WEA was fabulous all the same.
What I loved:
1) Kat - what a gem! Full of love with endless energy & concern. She connects with her clients like a friend & ‘sees’ all who are in her group. No-one is left behind or forgotten. You know she sees you & she wants you to have the best time! Thank you Kat!
2) Jo! You are the compass. The one who guided us safely and told us the weather reports, trivia bits, & reality checks. Thank you! You kept us safe & you gave us your all!
3) Snowbird accommodation! 5 Star stay! Room was warm. Big! Had a hair dryer! Quiet! Dinners were AMAZING!!
4) Food! Endless! Yummy! I put on weight dammit!! Snowbird dinners were superb!
5) travel - no complaints!
6) schedule - no complaints even with all the pivots! 😜
7) Safety - always!
Complaints: NONE!
Tips:
1) read & take note of the WEA packing suggestion list. It’s spot on!
2) pack gloves with fingers cut out
3) pack 50+ sunscreen - and wear it!!!
4) don’t even think of going without waterproof hiking shoes/boots
Thank you WEA, Kat & Jo! Kat - your heart is huge! You clearly love your job and every single one of your clients. You have a gift & I’m so glad I got to be in your orb for a few days.
I plan to go back and get to the summit and I’ll do it independently. But I would never have considered doing this if I had not had the guidance of WEA. You have given me confidence and I felt my ability soar with you! Thank you WEA. I wouldn’t change a thing over my adventure. The beauty of the snow was such a treat. I’ll be looking at doing another adventure with WEA again one day soon.

Cornwall Adventure 2025

I have just completed an adventure to Cornwall UK with Sharon and Jess and as usual this was another well-planned adventure catering for 12 women with different dietary needs and dealing with changes due to UK weather. WEA handle any hurdle with calm and patience; they are an amazing company to travel nobody is left out everyone is made to feel welcome.
If you’re looking for adventure, then check out the website (womenembraceadventure.com.au) I’m sure you will find what you’re looking for along with a few new friends.
