I never wrote a bad review in my life, but I felt the need to come warn whoever read this.
If there was a way I could not give any starts at all, I would, but I decided to give two starts for the customer services team that were respectful, patient and actually tried to help me.
I honestly feel bad for whoever work in their costumer services, because I could only imagine the many complaints people make daily. People who are rude or just pissed off (like me) because of missed pickups and plain stupidity.
So, I really appreciate them being nice, and helping me out.
Me and my family recently moved to Minnesota, and never in our lives have we struggled so much with trash pickup problems like in here. Our trash bags were piling up in our garage for weeks. We've paid this trash pickup service for about a month, and every time, our trash was missed.
I repeat: our trash was missed (ON PURPOSE)
They had the audacity to record videos for the service detail, and in the video, you could see our trash outside, waiting to be picked up, but being missed over and over again. We would put our trash out on time, and I would even watch to see them picking up sometimes. THEY NEVER DID.
You can imagine the smell of my garage with piles of trash. We were almost having problems with rats. If it wasn't for the city recycling picking up our trash, I don't know if we would have the space in the garage to put boxes and the many piles of trash (our family is huge)
Another thing I would like to point out, they never gave us any containers and guess what happened when I tried to cancel their services?
Being charged $125 (our bills were always paid on time). $75 for a trash container I never received, and another price for service (what service??)
I was able to speak to customer services, and they were able to help me through it, thank goodness, but if I were you, I would rethink twice before choosing waste management to pick up your trash.

I'm warting about halo waste I have ordered from them container for west nut they cost me 3 times they said it's over loaded but I asked them to check it before they came and I have send them pick when they came they change Thier mind so I would say they not working for collection west collections money they west my time plus money still the issue nor resolved trust pilot I'm asking with all due respect to give them 0 Star ⭐ they are rude as well to communicate with. I would give them zero stars if I could they are the Morgan & Morgan dumpster fire of garbage pickers. They increased our rates again (almost $500 a month to pick up the garbage weekly) and I found a company that was only a $192.00 for the same dumpster and pick up) so I decided to cancel. It took three times just to get to a person. I was then informed I had a auto renewing contract that was signed in 2017 from Advanced Disposal in order to cancel I would have to wait until November BUT I would have to send them a certified letter 120 to 90 days prior to this “auto renewing contract”. The only way I could get out now is if they increased the rates, I said they did; she told me this rate increase didn’t count because the landfill increased the rate not the provider. If I wanted to cancel now I would have to pay something like 3x the monthly rate + damages for the remanding contract which is about $4k. How can one small business trying to keep their customers prices down by eliminating or cutting expenses cause a multimillion dollar company damages. Honestly I would be ashamed and embarrassed with all these negative reviews to work here much less make management decisions. The lack of character is astounding l!!! If you actually intended to do something for ALL these complaints it would have been done before the consumer had to leave a review. The passive/aggressive attempt to “fix” the problem wreaks of laziness and insincerity.

Would give zero stars, fraudulently charged my account 100s of dollars and when I called to resolve the issue the representative named Meloney laughed at me for wanting a refund; a refund anyone would rightfully want especially since my account was up to date on auto pay. Buyer beware unfortunately I was forced to contract with them due to my residential area only allowed them as a provider but they are a joke of company truly trash.

Customer support is an AI agaent blocking ANY real people from being able to help me.
I have spent the past two hours fighting just to try and pay a bill... this is rediculous

I should have read these awful reviews before I signed up with WM. Subscribed with them on our move in week but did not get the garbage bin delivered after 2 weeks so we missed 2 collection weeks. I thought I give them a chance to recover - but I should have not. They will not even pick up the top piece of our ikea desk that we cannot fit in their bin, they left it in the middle road the sitting there the whole day. The laziest crew you can find from a garbage business.
My advice:
Don't even sign up with WM.com, if you don't want to deal with their awful and unreliable service. I just cancelled our service today after being with them for less than 3 months. They charged us $75 just to retrieve their garbage bin from us. You can use that $$ to buy your own bin, another way for them to keep you stuck with them. What an awful way to welcome a new WI resident.
Talk to a good neighbor first before you sign up with a garbage collection company, but don't even consider WM.com (Waste Management) on your list.

“Waste Management” has double billed multiple tenants. The previous tenant and the current tenant. They have both paid for the invoices for a few months. Their system does not catch multiple billing. I was on the phone with them for an hour. I am not sure if the problem has been resolved yet. I am hoping the city selects a different disposal company when the contract with “WM” ends.
In my opinion, WM is the most corrupt company I have ever dealt with.

I used the company's online site to book a roll off dumpster. In this drastically shortened summary of the story, WM refused to pick up the dumpster. Excuse after excuse. My coworker said, "they are leaving it at your house to drive up the bill and make you pay."
And that is exactly what WM has been trying to do. I pre-paid but they keep trying to steal money from my PayPal account for as much as $1300. More than 3x the rate of any local service. Thankfully PayPal can't be pushed around by this unethical company. Do I see a collections referral in the future? Sure! Socialists must be paid for work they didn't do!
WM must be trying to get the CEO up to the $20M level for his annual pay. Embarrassing!
WM continues to bill me for a service that was never provided. WM continues to try to steal money from my PayPal account, like today AGAIN! The most recent development is that greedy WM has now added a service charge.
WM employees have no desire to fix the problem they created. I guess they are comfortable with the "shake down" method. Paychecks have to come from somewhere, too bad honest hardworking people have to suffer.
Waste Management is an unethical company.
In my last direct interaction with someone who said she was from "corporate," she said she would record my comments in the notes. Not as a means of rectifying the error. No interest there. Any normal person would be ashamed to work for Waste Management!
Today I was struck by the persistent "I don't care" attitude from WM and the constant attacks. The evil in their plan is to wear you out. Just keep attacking. Do not address the problem. Just take.
The cancer that killed both of my parents did the same thing. Waste Management is just like cancer. It sucked every ounce of life from parents and WM employees are willing to TRY to do the same to me.
I suggest that everyone attend a meeting of your local municipality and vote for re-evaluate your sanitation contract, if it is serviced by WM.
Their service is fine but they'll find any reason to screw you out of extra money in for infractions they conveniently find. Plastic bag in the recycle bin 14 dollar charge. Your yard waste bin had something sticking out of it another 14 dollars. It's a rip off, I'm sick of utilities ripping us off.

I had a two year contract with them and I told them want to cancel at the end end came and they have just said as I did not sign a new contract I was automatically signed up for another 2 years even thou I have not signed anything

⚠️ AVOID WASTE MANAGED — SHOCKING SERVICE & MISLEADING PRACTICES
I first complained on 21st August 2025 after months of missed bin collections and poor advice. Only after I posted the complaint did someone call me — but nothing has been resolved.
Waste Managed admitted someone impersonated a manager on a call (21n”st August), leading to an emergency collection and extra fees I should never have paid. Promises about disputing charges and fixing my service have not been followed through.
My bins are still not being collected unless I pay an “outstanding balance” — even though these issues were caused by their own failings. I have CCTV proving missed collections and reports that appear doctored.
Now I’m being threatened with contract fees despite 3 months of inconsistent, unreliable waste removal. This company’s service is the complete opposite of what they advertise — untrustworthy, unprofessional, and dishonest.
💡 Do not sign up — avoid at all costs.

I made 3 reasonable attempts to cancel a contract that ended in 2019. I was told the contract renewed monthly since we did not cancel. I was advised to send a letter, certified return receipt to cancel, but would still be obligated to pay $239 per month for 90 days, as that is the term for cancellation. I asked to put the service on hold, while waiting for the 90 day period. I was advised I would need to pay for the receptacle of $47 per month, but 3 separate documents were sent through DocuSign and all included a contract term extending the contract out for another 3 years, or 1 year to put the service on hold, while waiting for the termination of the "contract". Absolutely deceitful business practices.

WM is a dumpster fire of a company. You cant get ahold of anyone that can actually help. I was transferred 26 times (not exaggerating) and given 9 different numbers to call to get ahold of the „right“ person.
None of the people that answer can help, just keep getting transferred or disconnected.
After getting their reply it really makes me wonder why they suddenly care now, even though no one seemed to know what they were doing during my 90 minutes wasted on the phone in their maze of a system

Ronald extremely rude and unprofessional screaming and talking over me on the phone and not listening! in general the company is a BIG SCAM! there is no communication, they change the contract and doing a digital sign on customers behalf! its been almost month i have been requesting to cancel the contract they are keep trying to charge me extra since I have reported that I want to cancel my contract! since April I have joined them they keep missing the collection, they came few days later and make you pay extra! never deal with them! top fraud company in UK

We have been wanting to leave this company for 10 months. We were not aware its a rolling contract and if you don’t send written notice 30days before end of contract you are tied in for 12months
We wanted to leave because of continued missed pickups. Last month was the last straw so I cancelled my DD. To be clear if there is a missed pick up you dont get credited.
Despite notice given, being up to date with payments we have a £40 charge on the account because I cancelled the DD.
Do now 2 weeks have passed, no collections and overflowing waste outside the buns and in our property.
Waste managed refuse to drop the £40 charge or collect the overflowing waste.
Dont sign anything with this company

Invoices were almost never the agreed upon price. Billing was often 35% higher than what was promised. When I canceled, they offered to pick up the can from the house and then billed me another 100.00. There is no accountability and no real civility with these folks.
