Workt great in the start. Then I got a message about verifying account. Then my account was blockt without reason. Sent papers many times verifying income and all. All for nothing. About 12.000 euros lost? No respond from customer services. Will update my review if I one day recive my money

Really disappointed with their service. Simply every attempt to transfer crypto to my account failed. Sources are reputable ones. Seems that they (as others) like to sell you crypto but not all interested in convert crypto in fiat currency.

Well I don’t know if these bad reviews are real but i have an account with wirex for almost a year and no problems at all. And I can verify this review

Awful company, worst ever. They locked me out of my account without prior warning and without any reason. Add money to buy crypto on binance one year ago after that they lock me and i never get answer why. No illegal actions all transactions clear from the bank account to revolut.
But they don’t care they don’t answer. Scum site so mouch people lost money there.

I will summarize my experience with Wirex. I have been their customer since 2019, I have a verified account and everything was fine until few days ago. Also, in the last year I decided to become an ELITE customer and paid for a one-year subscription, with a price of 29,9 euros each month (350 eurs per year).

I have to mention that the benefits of this type of subscription were advantageous at the time. 4% cryptoback and 8% saving bonus, no fees for top-up your account , but It was to good to be real 😔.

Now it is no longer advantageous at all because wirex does not follow anything written on their site. They change the benefits as they like or add new taxes or higher taxes. Wirex have add one commision for topup from local card of 2%, 0% saving bonus, high fees for crypto exchange, etc.

But that's nothing compared to what trouble Wirex caused me next.
After the date of 22 september they have changed their rate for currency exchange, so the most convenient way for me was to top up my account with RON paying a top-up fee of 2%.
I did a few top-ups using RON and the trouble started. Usually a top-up is processed in a few seconds, but now it takes hours or even days. I waited 24 hours for a top-up to be credited to my account but it was declined without any explanation.

I contacted their live support and explained the problem. They said I exceeded the limit of 5 top-ups allowed per day, but that was not true as I only did 2 top-ups that day.

I tried to top-up again seeing on their page status.wirexapp.com that it says "Local card top-up : Operational"

Again my top-up remained in pending and money was not credited to my account.

I have contacted again the live chat and they suggested me to use bank transfer to avoid this unpleasant situation.

I have explained to him why I can't use bank transfer using an example and also I have raised a ticket #2944579 regarding the high difference currency rate exchange.

This was the example from ticket:

The issue is about the difference on EUR - RON exchange rate. And to illustrate why I cannot use bank transfer I will give you an example:
Let's assume that I have to pay an invoice in RON worth 3000 RON.
This means I have to buy from another platform the amonut of 598 € at exchange rate of 5.02 RON = 1€.

If I go on Wirex after that to exchange EURO in RON you will see that I will lose 588 RON on exchange rate.
Exchange rate on wirex is 598 € × 4.0347 RON = 2412 RON.
My loss is 3000 RON - 2412 RON = 588 RON
This means 188 € LOSS for me only on doing an exchange currency from EUR to RON.

How should I use your services if the top up in RON does not work and the exchange rate of EUR -RON it is far away from being acceptable.

After I made this ticket I noticed that I was logged out of wirexapp and when I tried to log in again I got this message "For security reason your account has been locked. To unlock, please contact support"

After that I have sent dozens of tickets to find out the reason for blocking my account. I didn't receive any concrete answer but only answers like: "We hope for your understanding and patience, our Support team will get in touch with you at the nearest time. Regards!"

I have to mention that at the moment I have $3000 worth of funds in my wirex wallet that have been blocked without any right.

In conclusion, what can I say?

WIREX abuses its power and lies to its customers by treating them with ignorance and total lack of professionalism.

I will go further with my complaint to the Bank of Lithuania, FCA, Action Fraud and other institutions wich combat financial crime if I would not receive access to my account in the next 3 days.

I honsetly had never had such an awful experience with a company that I trusted with my money, it’s genuinely sad at this point.

And Wirex, please, stop treating your costumers in such an unprofessional way.

Why goverments still allow this scam company to operate scaming hundreds of thousands every day? WHY? I opened an account in wirex without reading reviews. I transfered the 1st day after i was fully verified 2.840 euros and they are pedning 6 days now. The communication with their support is robotic with copy paste texts (we deeply appologise etc etc we will move your case into our appropriate team) thats the copy paste email they give ON EVERY case to EVERYONE you can check their forums everyone is geting robbed by them. My funds are paused and my 3k transaction is freezed by them. SCAM AVOID USING IT BE WARNED!

had a nice cashback collected, could not do anything with it, withdraw min was $100 dollar, now it is already about 300, they keep raising it so you can never use your cashback, this I call a scam! Unfortuntely this does not contribute to the crypto world it only harms it.

This company is awful. There are crazy fees and fake promotions. Also lack of support. That is why i dont reccomend this company.

Charges an inactivity fee, charges to deposit through credit card, seriously avoid this scam bank, I just got out as soon as I read the terms and conditions and those documents

Rips you off by charging your entire balance with 0.03 btc per day once you dont have activity in your account. No way to get it back.

They are scammers. They take your money and do not return it. I highly recommend not using there service.

Wirex is a scam app..they locked me out of my account without prior warning,they stopped replying to my email and I have no way to contact them..this is really frustrating. I read online that they have done this to a lot of people. Please if you have money in your Wirex,kindly take it out before Wirex lock you out. Thanks

Really bad. Help desk nether answered to many tickets. Avoid this company

Worst crypto exchange in the world!
They promised to return the money within a month, they have not returned for more than 2.5 months
When contacting support, they write that it is considered by the "higher" department
Binance returned the money in 2 hours, Wirex has not been able to return the money for almost 3 months
I do not advise, scam

I had my account blocked because i uninstalled the google authenticator i contacted them all they asked was a photo of me with passport and i got back my account in a matter of minutes

Do NOT use Wirex. They have my account blocked for over HALF A YEAR now, without telling me why. Every month or so I send them a ticket and they tell me to wait, every single month. WAIT.. Waiting is what I've been doing for over six months. I'm so done with this "company". Been a loyal customer, but it seems they do not want customers they just want their funds. Which have been stuck for over 6 months now. I don't think I will ever get them back.

I have opened a ticket for missing welcome bonus for 5 months, I still can't get it at this point. Poor and slow CS services. CS only replied you that it was not on theirs hand, they couldn't do anything on it and kept asking you to wait.

originally I could top up my fiat account without fee which was the best debit card earning crypto.
Since July 2022, every top up will be charged with fee. IMO wirex lost its edge compared to its competitors.

Wirex removed my account verification and rejects any new verification attempts for ridiculous reasons like not accepting any digital documents in a country where everything is digital. I tried to verify several times and the verification rejection takes several months to process each time.
Conveniently, they also don't let you withdraw again until you're verified. It's a scam that is set out to steal your deposits.
