Very happy with the service received. Nothing was too much trouble
The experience at Drayton Motors Bolton was good because the salesperson, Raymon Rushdi geared his approach to finding out exactly what I wanted and took it from there.
Raymon has sold me three cars now over a period of several years and it will be no surprise at all if he eventually sells me my fourth!
I also use Drayton motors for servicing under a service plan and have had no problems whatsoever.
Helpful patient Sales staff
Positive experience
Good customer service, staff all excellent. Good choice of vehicles to suit almost anyone's needs. Have used this dealer for many years now and will continue to do so. I would recommend them to anyone.
Polite, professional and helpful Staff. Everything was arranged and sorted out as stated.
Bought a 22 plate Peugeot 5008 a year ago… this was a part exchange for the vauxhall zafira they sold me less than a year before that had endless faults. Can safely say, ive swapped one heap of **** for another.
When I returned the zafira, I was promised the world with the 5008, that this car was going to be perfect, faultless, reliable. The dealership were fully aware I needed this car to transport my disabled child to the specialist hospital 70 miles away. So despite it being more than double what I was paying for the zafira, it was worth it for the peace of mind that my daughter could get to hospital. Within 43 days of owning the car, with 28,000 miles on the clock, the timing chain snapped and it was back at the dealership for a month waiting for repairs. The only redeeming factor here is that they did provide a courtesy car and that the bill was covered by someone that wasnt me!
Collected the car, all fixed, but noticed and intermittent glitch with the wing mirror, foolishly didnt think anything of it until it stopped working completely along with the electric windows and the screens began playing up. Independent diagnostic report showed 75 fault codes. £504 later, Drayton motors still cant tell me whats wrong with the car and want a further 6 hours work at £180 an hour to find the fault before they will fix it. They are adamant its a wiring fault, despite the diagnostic report leading to multiple other possible causes. The car has an extended warranty but the warranty company weren’t even aware of this despite the dealership telling me “they wont pay for a wiring issue”… when the warranty company told me their agreed labour rate is £70 an hour, it’s become very clear why they’re desperate to find a dodgy wire- so i can pay £180 an hour for the same work 🙄
2 weeks later, im having to phone them again for a problem with the clutch now. They cant even book it in until 9th July, weve had to cancel our holiday to accommodate more work on the car- another financial loss for us!! When i asked for the diagnostic report that should have been included in the £504 id just paid, they couldn’t provide it.
When I had the vehicle serviced at an independent garage, I was advised that there was no way the vehicle was serviced prior to me owning it due to the state of the oil and filters- despite them stamping the book to say it had been done! Every time i have mentioned this to the dealership, they have declined to acknowledge this.
The fact that a car of this age and mileage can have so many faults with it is absolutely beyond me. The lack of interest from the dealership and finance company is crazy that they can sell faulty vehicles to hardworking families without a single care that they leave a disabled child without transport is disgusting. Once theyve got your money, they dont care.
But ultimately, Im the idiot that allowed them to mug me off twice. Take your hard earned money, walk away and go elsewhere.
I have a motability car which was booked approximately 4 weeks prior to the service with a courtesy car of a similar size for the day. I arrived 15 minutes early and during the process of booking my car in I enquired about the courstey car and was told it had been sold and I was offered a small saloon. I am unable to access this type of car due to my disability. I asked why did no one let me know the car was not available and I would have rearranged. NO ANSWER or apology. I was offered priority and asked to wait but I had a medical appointment I would have missed. The emplooyee tried to book me in for 31 July but no guarantee of courtesy car. This is the 3rd incident where this company has let me down in the past 2 years and I AM NEVER going to use them again.
Overall, I am very satisfied with my purchase and the level of customer service I received. I would highly recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a hassle-free and enjoyable car-buying experience.
