This is a lovely company to deal with. They are responsive and pro active which is becoming a rarity these days. The broth is absolutely delicious and my favourite from all the ones I've tried.

Wild Isle is a small, family-run business on the Isle of Lewis, making proper bone broth concentrate in small batches using only local bones, filtered water, and sea salt. That’s it. We simmer every batch for at least 48 hours and bottle the rich, gelatinous concentrate in reusable glass jars with glass lids - no plastics, no shortcuts, and no preservatives. Just real food, made slowly and with care. Our broth is inspired by the traditional foodways of the Hebrides, where slow-simmered stocks have long been part of the diet. We source bones from croft-reared cattle that graze freely on the machair and moorlands of Lewis and Harris - high-welfare animals raised by local crofters in tune with the seasons. You won’t find additives, fillers or powdered collagen here. Just broth the way it used to be - nutrient-rich, easy to digest, and suitable for sensitive diets including GAPS, AIP, Paleo, Keto, and Carnivore. It’s also naturally gluten and dairy free. Wild Isle is more than a broth business. We moved to Lewis to raise our family and try our hand at crofting. Our long-term goal is to use profits to regenerate our own patch of land, trialling holistic grazing techniques that aim to rebuild soil, retain water, and restore biodiversity. We believe that healthy land makes for healthy food - and healthy people. That’s the thread running through everything we do. If you haven’t tried our broth yet, we’d love you to give it a go. And if you have - thank you. Your support keeps the pot bubbling.

The bone broth concentrate sourced from…

The bone broth concentrate sourced from Wild Isle is incredibly flavorful and enjoyable to sip as a warm beverage. A 290g jar lasts quite a while, and the container comes in handy for preparing minced beef puddings. I'm thrilled to support this wonderful, small business.

Wild Isle stole my heart

I love Wild Isle, they’ve never let me down. Their bone broth is made with genuinely pure ingredients and nothing more, and they’re always happy to work with me around my needs, which makes them an absolute gem of a company to deal with. They’re “local” in the way that really matters: supporting a small UK business, less air travel, and a company you can genuinely trust. The broth itself is delicious, I usually add a little butter or tallow because I need it nutritionally, but it’s just as good on its own. I drink it daily, cook with it, and unless I’m travelling a lot, I get through it quickly. And if I ever fall behind, Sean is more than happy to help me catch up, he has been a diamond. My Irish heart loves good friendly companies - the way it used to be.

Another big reason I choose Wild Isle is their regenerative grazing and crofting practices. Crofting is a traditional, small-scale farming system that works with the land rather than against it, prioritising animal welfare, soil health, and biodiversity. Just because they’re based in the Hebrides doesn’t mean they’re not local; supporting Wild Isle means supporting the animals, the land, and a way of farming that actually restores the environment. That’s a huge win in my book.

I haven’t tried their tallow balm yet, only because I already have tallow to use but I buy their bone broth regularly, usually a couple every month, and I’ve no doubt the balm is just as high quality as everything else they produce. Wild Isle is one of those rare businesses where you feel good about what you’re buying and who you’re buying it from.

I’d recommend Wild Isle because there are amazing, but I want to keep them a secret too because they are that good.

Don’t change Wild Isle you are perfect 👌

I've been looking for a bone broth…

I've been looking for a bone broth without added vegetables so this product is ideal. I haven't tried bone broth before so I have nothing to compare it to but it does taste nice. A bit pricey but I suppose you get what you pay for. My only gripe is the jar was upside down in the box when delivered so the product was all over the lid and although I turned it the right way up to settle, it's quite a sticky substance so when I pulled the tab to break the seal and open the jar the broth went all over the seal, my hands and the jar despite my best efforts to avoid this. This obviously meant I lost some of the broth and had to clean the seal and jar. Great product but let down by the container.

Hi Ian – really appreciate the kind words, and the honest feedback too. I do my best to get the broth firm enough that it holds in place during transit, but you're right – occasionally it softens just enough to shift. Sorry to hear it made a mess. If that ever happens again, I'm always happy to sort something – even just a partial refund or discount. I’m steadily getting more consistent with it and really grateful you took the time to share this.

Best wishes,
Sean
