If off-the-beaten-track is your style of travel, then a Wild Frontiers Algeria tour would be perfect for you. Markets, mosques, Roman ruins, cosmopolitan French-colonial cities, the starkly beautiful Sahara Desert and very few visitors combine to make Algeria a spectacular destination.
We had expert pre-departure help from the Wild Frontiers team. The tour provided a knowledgeable and engaging leader, expert local guides, comfortable transport and hotels, and an interesting and varied itinerary, making ours a truly memorable journey.

As a repeat traveller with Wild Frontiers, I’m delighted it consistently exceeded my expectations. From clear communication to the seamless execution of the well organised tours by local partners, there are no bad surprises.
The warmth of the locals experienced throughout my 15-day adventure in Kyrgyzstan, coupled by the breathtaking landscapes and cultural encounters left indelible memories. Special thanks to Aleksandr and Vladimir who kept us comfortable and safe.
Keep doing what you do, Wild Frontiers!

Just returned from an organised group tour of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan. Wild Frontiers organised the itinerary and local guides and were very helpful in dealing with any queries prior to departure.
We had a fantastic time and I would definitely recommend them in the future.

This was my first experience travelling with Wild Frontiers (I had previously travelled extensively with another adventure tour company but a sell-out has made them less appealing). The tour (walking/hiking in the Accursed Mountains) exceeded all expectations; the guide Besi was exceptional and added so much to the trip with his knowledge, kindness and enthusiasm. The scenery was incredible (my photos actually look fake!) and on many of the hikes we saw few if any other people other than the local villagers we stayed with. Freshly cooked trout (cooked on a fire stove) high in the mountains; watching the morning sheep milking; the abundance of beautiful wildflowers; good company and stunning scenery all made for an exceptional trip. I will certainly book with Wild Frontiers again - the problem is with so many incredible sounding journeys where to go first?

I’ve recently returned from an exciting trip to North Pakistan travelling through scenery like nowhere else on earth. This is where the Western Himalayas, Karakoram and Hindu Kush mountain ranges meet.
The only way to see all this stunning scenery and also meet so many welcoming local people is by travelling on a group trip with a company that really knows the area and the people.
I travelled with Wild Frontiers and our local guide and drivers were all so passionate and proud to show off their wonderful and very friendly country.
I would strongly recommend visiting Pakistan where any preconceptions you may have will immediately be dismissed.

I have now done about 6 trips with Wild Frontiers.
I am just back from the Eastern Turkey trip and have Albania in September already booked.
They are a great company. Group size is 12 at the most.
Their guides are excellent and the itineries are great because they go to places most other companies ignore.

Albania Ecompassed
An awesome tour of an awesome country.
Well organised, great itinerary covering the whole country (and a bit of Kosovo) and one of the best tour guides we've ever had - amazingly knowlegeable and interesting.
The hotels were exceptional and we enjoyed a very wide range of locations from Roman remains to walking in the mountains, from fortresses to astonishing lakes, and a great deal in between.
Unhesitatingly recommend this tour.

I participated in Wild Frontiers' Albania tour this June. It was excellent: well thought-through itinerary, good choice of accommodations, knowledgable guide, comfortable van transportaiton with a steady, reliable driver. All in all, a wonderful introduction to highlights of Albania.

Our recent trip to the Hindu Kush was all we hoped for and more. Spectacular scenery, imaginative itinerary, welcoming people and a knowledgeable local guide who went above and beyond to make the experience even more enjoyable. The North West Frontier area of Pakistan has much to recommend it.

I did my first tour with Wild Frontiers in Balkans because I was looking for a company going to Kosovo and WF was the only one showing it in its itinerary. I was skeptical about trying out a new tour company, but I’m glad I did. This was all the way A+ experience. WF includes all meals but ours were not the plated kind given by other companies. All meals were family style in local restaurants with local music. Hotels were also good quality and comfort, with many authentic eco lodges. Guide was very knowledgeable about the complicated history of this region. Driver was professional and courteous. I would travel again with WF again in your future.

I recently traveled to Southern Albania with Wild Frontiers. It was a fabulous trip. Our guide, Besi was amazing, so knowledgeable about his country and a great leader on the hikes. The entire tour was very organized from the beginning and once we were there with our hikes, hotels, food and driving to the areas.

This was my 9th trip with Wild Frontiers, this time to Mongolia "Land of the Great Khan"
This trip was really to a "Wild Frontier". Off road for over 10 days in complete wilderness with virtually no other "tourists". Staying with a local family, visiting and having lunch with Nomad families, and interacting with nomads tending their animals. The gobi desert is stunning.
As always, everything was organised perfectly, and pre departure information accurate. Our Tour leader and our skilful drivers were outstanding, looking after us very well - nothing was too much trouble.
If you like travelling and wilderness you will love this trip but it is not for the faint hearted.
I hope to take part in many more trips with Wild Frontiers as I have had the opportunity to visit many places few people will travel to.

First time with WF - to Algeria. Very good pre-departure information which was entirely honest about the standards of accommodation to be encountered in a less travelled to destination. Excellent guide and driver. Above expectation and enjoyed the trip immensely.

I went on the Mongolia: Land of the Great Khan trip with Wild Frontiers. The trip and itinerary were well planned and allowed us to see a good variety of landscapes as well as historical exhibits to get a real feel for the country. Our tour guide (Shuri) was fantastic and as well as being super-organised and taking care of us extremely well she had a wealth of knowledge about the country and and was seemingly able to answer any question we threw at her! She is also an expert archer and provided us a demonstration of this as well as an insight into what the traditional nomad lifestyle is like. I'd also like to give a shout-out to our three drivers who were great guys and navigated us through the tricky terrain with assurance. Overall a very memorable trip and I would certainly recommend Wild Frontiers based on the positive experience I had.

We recently enjoyed a trip to Pakistan. What a fantastic country with spectacular scenery and warm friendly people. Although there was some conflict at the time we always felt safe with our local guide who updated us and explained the situation. The accommodation ranged from wow to basic but all comfortable. The days in the mountains in the jeeps was an adventure and the Kalash village festival put a permanent smile on your face. We loved this unspoiled country.

We were very impressed with all aspects of our Uzbekistan trip. This was our first visit to Central Asia and with W F. who were very well organised from the initial set of information through every stage of the trip. Our guide, Ildar, was excellent in both his daily management of our itinerary and the knowledge of his country which he shared with us. All accommodation was very good, and we found 12 to be just the right number of people to travel with. We would certainly recommend WF to anyone who has a taste for adventure.

This was my second trip with Wild Frontiers. This time we did the trip to Japan (Land of the Wild Samurai). Wild Frontiers did not disappoint! The trip was well planned, and we had a FANTASTIC guide. I highly recommend Wild Frontiers for anyone who wants to get off the beaten path a little bit and see the countryside and experience the culture.

We chose Wild Frontiers for our tour of Albania as they had additional interests in the itinerary as well as the UNESCO sites. We particularly liked having two walks and two boat trips. The itinerary was well planned with excellent hotels, all clean with modern bathrooms but a range of types from mountain Lodges, through local hotels to a very luxurious 5 star one night with views to die for. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic and his bringing to life of the time of communism was enlightening. The driver was charming and very safe! The group was a perfect size at 10 (originally 12 ).

This was our second Wild Frontiers trip - this time to Egypt. We thoroughly enjoyed it. The local guide was very good, knowledgeable and friendly. We especially like the opportunity to see a bit of local culture as well as 'the sights'. We extended our stay and WF arranged some extra trips and accommodation for us - we'd definitely go with Wild Frontiers again.

I must say how impressed I was with my first Wild Frontier trip - so well organised , so smooth with so many moving parts to put in place - such a hard working & caring guide there throughout . I have done corporate trips over the years but this was really impressive from up to date vehicles , great restaurant choices & a clever itinerary that covered a lot - exhilarating indeed !
