Ana was extremely helpful and patient with me. I had several questions and she answered everything promptly and helped me navigate my new insurance policy that was not in my native language. It was a huge relief to have someone I could trust helping me.

Ana at Whiz has been great - helping us with our travel insurance for our D7 visas, and then with our private health insurance which we'll need for our SEF appointments. She has been prompt in responding to any questions, explains the options very clearly and is a very nice person, which always makes it pleasant to interact with her. Ana from Whiz consulting really came through to help me get health insurance. I already had a recommendation for a particular company, but i needed more information about it, and Ana patiently answered all of my questions. The awesome thing is that months after getting the plan, I've reached out a couple of times and she helped me just like before. She speaks/writes fluent English too.

As an aside, for any expats/immigrants looking for health insurance, If there is one thing i would suggest, it would be to not assume that health insurance/health care works the same way that it does in their country. The details can be different, please research and ask questions. For example not all health conditions are covered by insurance, a few are completely excluded depending on the carrier/plan.
But yes 100% recommend Ana and her agency!

There is a lot to consider when purchasing new insurance in a foreign country but Ana Rita Andrade at WHIZ Consulting made this process much easier. She was patient with my delays but extremely prompt with all her responses to my questions.

To begin the process there was a video meeting to discuss the health system in Portugal, how the social and private systems work together and the benefits of each. From there we talked about my priorities with private insurance.

I was sent policies from three different companies and within these option were varying degrees of coverage and prices to choose which fit my circumstances the best.

Throughout the entire process Ana Rita helped me with any question I had and from my feeling of being supported I probably asked more than I normally would. :-) A result of being treated with care, patience and transparency. (I was on holiday during the time I was trying to make this decision so my decision process took quite a long time with questions coming up at random times) I never felt pressured by Whiz or Ana to decide and once my holiday was over I could really process everything that had popped up to make a decision that I feel very happy with.

Signing up for my choice was easy and Ana even helped guide me through this process by giving me a heads up on text messages I would receive from the insurer.

Ana Rita was able to assist me in finding insurance that fit me, both from a medical perspective and from an availability perspective. She helped me understand the steps, broke down the information in English for me, and answered my very dumb questions.
