Tracking is a bit off but delivery was good

My DVD from Malaysia was delivered in good time and in good condition, the reason I knocked a star off was that the tracking seems to end once it is handed over to Royal Mail so I was left hanging for 5 days not really knowing when or if it would be delivered. They do have a webchat but that was AI and left me none the wiser.

Thank you for your feedback, and I’m pleased to hear that your DVD arrived safely and in good condition. I’m sorry, however, that the tracking experience left you feeling uncertain.

From the reference provided, I can confirm your item was sent via a part-tracked service. This means tracking updates are limited to scans within our network and do not extend through to final delivery. Once the parcel is handed over to Royal Mail, it continues as an untracked service within their network, so no further updates are available following.

We appreciate that this may not have been made as clear as it should have been, and we will take this feedback on board to improve how we communicate tracking expectations in line with the individual services.

Avoid this service at all costs

Item would be delivered quicker on a hippo going backwards through tarmac

I ordered 2 games from musicmagpie that are now a week overdue, they've disappeared into the abyss that is 'at depot'

Website looks like its been designed by a child, help and contact would be easier on a ouija board.

Although im aware musicmagpie aren't at fault im apprehensive to ever order from them again due to this

1 star is lucky, you dont even deserve 0 stars

Thank you for your feedback, and I’m sorry to hear you've not received your delivery. We understand how frustrating it can be when a delivery does not meet expectations.

To clarify, Whistl acts as a carrier management provider, meaning we support the dispatch of parcels into the delivery network, but the final delivery and tracking updates are handled by the delivery courier directly. Updates following will therefore depend on when the courier scans the item within their network meaning we actions we can take directly are limited.

We appreciate that this process can sometimes feel unclear. As outlined on our website and via our chatbot, the retailer remains responsible for your order and is best placed to investigate delays and arrange any resolution on your behalf, which is why we recommend contacting them directly.

That said, we take all feedback seriously and are continually reviewing our service and communication. If you’re able to share further details via response to our request, we would be happy to provide any additional clarity we can.

This might be the worst EVER

This might be the worst, most inefficient organization of all time. Every time I order something and it's posted involving these clowns, I know I'm either never going to get it, or I'll get a year later.

What makes it worse is that their tracking, and customer service is non-existent. Example - I order an Item from e-bay. tracking showed it had been handed over to the whistl group.

I had a notification two weeks ago to say it would be delivered that day and I thought to myself " Eureka, these bad boys have cracked it ", but alas, no. The item never arrived, and it still shows " at delivery depot ".
So, you have the option to go to their website and use a chatbot to track your order, which tells you the same thing. If you ask to transfer to an agent, it tells you they are connecting you, then just ends the chat. To add insult to injury, they then send you a survey request to ask how they did.

So, I tried calling - patiently went through all the option waiting to be connected, but the calls just ends. There's no option to speak to a human?

This is beyond dreadful. Who's monitoring this? Who within this group is looking at their 1.2 score on TrustPilot and saying " Hey chaps, we really need to do something about these because our customers are telling us we are awful "

Thank you for your feedback.

We completely understand how frustrating this must be, particularly with the delays, tracking updates and the difficulty you’ve encountered trying to contact us.

I’d like to clarify that Whistl is not the final delivery courier—we facilitate the dispatch of parcels into the delivery network on behalf of the retailer. Tracking updates after handover are therefore provided by the delivery courier (such as Royal Mail, Evri, DHL, etc.) and will depend on when scans are completed within their network.

We appreciate that this can feel unclear, however our chatbot and website guidance are designed to direct customers back to the retailer, as they remain responsible for the delivery and any investigation or resolution. This does mean our ability to intervene directly is limited.

That said, if you’re able to share your tracking details by response to our request, our team would be happy to review and provide any clarity we can.

We’re sorry again for the frustration caused and appreciate you taking the time to share your experience.

A poor and pointless service

A poor and pointless service.
I deal with Music Magpie and Rarewaves on a regular basis who use Whistl. The tracking either doesn't work, or they end up keeping the item for up to 7 days before before being bothered to pass it onto Royal Mail. This isn't a one off, it's a regular thing (I have every tracking number with all the details). If I pay for first class I expect a first class service. I'm not blaming Rarewaves, they dispatch pretty quickly, and I'm not blaming Royal Mail, because when Whistl can eventually be bothered to give it to Royal Mail, it usually appears the next day. If Rarewaves chose to use Royal Mail directly, it would be on my doorstep 24 hours later, yet this Whistl middle man can take over a week. Not sure why anyone would use them as it reflects badly on the sender of the item, and also reflects badly on the person who eventually delivers it.

Thank you for your feedback, I'm very sorry to hear of your experience resulting in repeated delays and lack of clear updates.

While items are typically passed to Royal Mail within 24 hours of collection, this can occasionally vary depending on volumes and operational factors. That said, it should not be a regular occurrence for parcels to remain within our network for several days, and would be highly unusual for any items to be held within our network for up to 7 days.

We appreciate your comments regarding the impact this has on both the retailer and final delivery experience and we will ensure these concerns are shared internally for review.

If you’re able to respond to our request to provide the specific tracking details mentioned, our team would be more than happy to look into this further and provide additional clarity.

Thank you for your feedback, and I’m very sorry to hear about your experience. We fully appreciate how frustrating it can be when a delivery is delayed and tracking does not update as expected.

While we facilitate the movement of parcels into the delivery network, the retailer remains responsible for investigating any delays and arranging a resolution on your behalf, which is why we recommend contacting them directly in the first instance. That said, you can also reach us via the contact form available on the Contact Us page of our website.

In most cases, parcels collected by Whistl are handed over to the relevant courier within 24 hours of receipt, so it would be highly unusual for an item to remain within our network for up to 7 days.

If you are able to share your order or tracking details in response to our request, a member of our team will be happy to review this for you and reach out to provide as much clarity as possible.

An order through amazon I did on may…

An order through amazon I did on may 23rd, on may 28th I got a notification "Collection Scheduled". Now it's june 9th and no updates whatsoever. In Amazon it just says "delayed". Over two and a half weeks with no communication or updates.

Thank you for your review we’re sorry to hear about the delay and lack of updates on your order.

As a carrier management company, we assist retailers with the collection and dispatch of parcels into courier networks, but we are not directly involved in the final delivery therefore ongoing tracking updates once the parcel has been handed over would come from the courier the sender has chosen.

That said, if you're able to reply to our request with your order or tracking details, a member of our team will gladly reach out to look into this for you and provide as much clarity where possible.

Lost packages, completely unreliable please do not order with whistl as they managed to lose two SEPARATE parcels

If I could give it 0 stars I would, I ordered two DVDs through MusicMagpie, and both parcels were sent with Whistl. Both were later confirmed by the seller as lost by the courier. I also paid €18 in customs charges before finding out the items would never be delivered. Although the seller refunded me, the experience was extremely disappointing because the DVDs were no longer available. I would not want important deliveries sent through this courier again. They were TWO SEPARATE parcels and managed to lose both but yet made me pay customs which I’m STILL trying to figure out how to get my money back.

Thank you for your review, we’re sorry to hear that your two parcels were not received as expected. We understand how frustrating and disappointing this must be.

As a carrier management company, we support retailers by providing software and managing the collection and dispatch of parcels into various courier networks. However, as we are not a courier ourselves, we are unfortunately not directly involved in the final delivery once items have been dispatched.

However, if you’re able to reply to our request with a few more details about the parcels, a member of our team will gladly reach out as soon as possible so that we may provide further clarity and guide you on the next steps.

If you think EVRI is bad think again

8 Days to deliver a parcel containing a CD - EIGHT DAYS.

It would have been quicker if I had ridden bareback to the senders property and brought it back myself. In fact it would have been quicker if I had hopped there and back.

Useless AI Customer Service

I ordered a DVD from musicMagpie, which according to the website was dispatched on 20May2026. The item shows as being received at Whistl's depot on 23May and there have been no updates since then.
I attempted to use the company webchat to find out when delivery would be made. Sadly the AI bot, Ceri is as dumb as soup and instead of answering the question it kept asking questions I had already answered. This is what you get when you replace a person with a badly programmed robot. Pathetic

Awful service

Awful service, poor communication. You don't know when the product is going to be delivered, no updates and even when I was home, heard knocking and rushed to open door, I only saw the delivery guy leaving in their car. 3 unsuccessful attempts to deliver despite being at home. Nobody called, nobody rang the bell. I called customer service and they cannot reschedule delivery, they can't send it to collection point, they can't leave it with neighbour and they can only leave it unattended in front of my home. When questioned, they said they've escalated this. Meanwhile no money, no product, no solution. Awful

Useless service

Every time Whistl is involved in a delivery it results in an extra two days being added on to the delivery time. This time appears to be taken up by a parcel 'travelling through their system', then being handed over to a courier for delivery, usually Royal Mail. Then the usual Royal Mail delivery time is added on so it ends up taking over a week instead of 2 to 3 days. Plants delivered where Whistl was involved have been in a poor condition when they've actually arrived. This time a delivery from Music Magpie has been delayed by Whistl's involvement. What are they actually for?

CD hasn't arrived, 22 days waiting.

Ordered CD from music magpie on amazon.
Ordered on 20th April 2026, it's now 9th May 2026, NO CD.
Checked tracking, last entry was on 23rd April 2026 @08.48, package transferred to another carrier for delivery, what the hell! That's 19 days ago, an no update from anyone about it.
There should be a no star facility.
