We purchased all of our appliances as whirlpool, so far the washer and the stove have stopped working. We had to flip the breaker for the stove, because it started to smell like burning electrical lin... See more

Poor quality and service
After having a horrible experience with a LG refrigerator we purchased a Whirlpool, what a big mistake. Not quite 2 years old we have had 2 control boards, a compressor and a damper control replaced . We have lost over $300 in food waste not to mention the stress of leaving home for more than a day.
Bad product
Bought a Whirlpool refrigerator from Lowes had a error code 2 months later.Called Lowes they said it was whirlpools problem.I then called Whirlpool. Whirlpool took 1 hour to answer phone. Then told me the parts were on back order!!!! 3 months later NOT FIXED!!!!!
Do not purchase Whirlpool products …
Bought and refrigerator was delivered October 12,2025. 44 days later it quit working both refrigerator and freezer. Lost over 500 in groceries. 2 weeks later repairman came out and said it needed 5 parts. Back ordered and would take 6 weeks or more. Lowe’s will do nothing because over 30 days. Whirlpool says it has to be fixed and I am supposed to go without refrigerator for over 2 months or more
Absolutely horrific experienc
Absolutely horrific experienc - Whirlpool is totally unreliable - bought a refrigerator - had a crack in the freezer - said they would repair - sent an incompetent repair firm - never answered repeated 10+ call - scheduled another repair person -- endless nightmare
DO NOT BUY WHIRLPOOL
Great customer experience
I have an oven/microwave wall unit that had a failed control panel. It was out of warranty but Whirlpool covered it as part of a goodwill gesture. I always buy their products and have always been happy. Not sure why there are so many negative reviews here. But I have their refrigerator, stove top, and dishwasher too, all running great
The wait times are horrendous
The wait times are horrendous. Each time you call expect easily over 1 hour wait. Doesnt matter at what time i call, the wait times are always over an hour long. The company seriously needs to look into that because the fact that everyone is complaining about it can tell you its a big issue. The issue is so big that i dont think i will purchase another whirlpool product or any of its associated products until the customer service issue gets fixed. I like kitchen aid process but the customer service is just terrible.
I've seen so many faulty whirlpool appliances
I work for a group home, they like to buy on the cheaper side so they get whirlpool I have slowly been convincing our maintenance to buy other brands due to having to replace our whirlpool appliances every year to every few months. Including an incident where the front of the stove blew the glass out in a horrific scene where we were lucky no one stood there and was injured. Also just bought a home with whirlpool washer that is brand new and quit working a few months into moving in. NO SURPRISE THERE! It needs a part that is known to be faulty but whirlpool won't help us, you can't even get through. They insist you pay for them to come diagnose the same issue that is posted everywhere. That it is known it comes with that issue. My father in-law offered to buy us the part and I said no, I don't want this trash in my house I'll buy a used washer of a different brand for the price whirlpool would charge to fix their mistake. The used washer will work better than that brand new whirlpool with the new part. I'd rather a used appliance that is 10 years old than a brand new whirlpool. Anything but a whirlpool. Worst brand ever. My company is finally buying us other brands after I proposed due to the safety issue. I mean all their appliances are bad. Don't but whirlpool. I've seen so many bad whirlpools. I've never seen a whirlpool appliance go a whole year without at least needing a part at least if it hasn't died or broken completely.
Can I give them less than 1 star?
Our stainless steel frig doors are rusting. Waited over an hour to speak to someone. Even worse, the first person you talk to is only trying to sell you an extended warranty!! Replacement doors “have been ordered” but can check on shipment date without calling again and waiting another hour
The customer service is horrible
The customer service is horrible. They may have good appliances but what good does that if the customer service is rude, doesnt return call, wont fix your problem....
We will never buy a Whirlpool product again!
The CEO should be ashamed
Don't buy whirlpool appliances
Don't buy whirlpool appliances. They will not stand up to the warranty they put on the item you buy. They will keep sending out technicians to work on them item but yet not actually fix what is wrong with it or replace the appliance. They will all say one thing is wrong and then something else is wrong. The techs that come out will lie to whirlpool just to help whirlpool save money buy not doing what they are suppose to do by warranty standards. They have a very faulty stoves and they know it and still sell them. And because of that people are forced to go and buy a brand new stove. When talking to customer service you get told so many different things and nothing your told will stand up by the time you talk with the next whirlpool agent. The company's they send out to fix the appliance will tell you that you have to pay out of pocket for it while it under warranty.
Do Not Buy Whirlpool Refrigerator
To date, Whirlpool has failed to conduct a proper diagnostic evaluation, failed to honor their warranty obligations, provided conflicting and false information, and engaged in deceptive business practices.
The initial qualified Sears technician identified a faulty evaporator fan requiring replacement. Whirlpool has refused to authorize the repair and has instead relied solely on a video clip rather than a professional physical inspection.
Whirlpool has awful Customer Service. I have spent hours on the phone waiting for a Whirlpool Customer Service Representative. When they answer, they pretend they cannot hear you and then hang up. You have to call them back and sit on the phone for another hour.
The BBB currently has Whirlpool rated A+ because they are closing the complaints without acknowledging the customer's dissatisfaction and unresolved issue. The BBB Whirlpool reviews demonstrate the poor quality of the products and the awful Customer Service.
Whirlpool service contract a no go.
Purchased a repair/protect service contract from Whirlpool. Was supposed to receive an email and letter detailing what I bought. Have received neither and it's been 10 days since I purchased the contract. Calls to their 800# are a joke, waited more than an hour on hold. Absolutely terrible customer service.
Do not buy.
Newer Washer Models not half as durable as older ones
My previous Washer LR8244b purchased in 1995 lasted over 28 years and was still working when I changed it for a newer model. The new model WTW4855HW3 purchased in 2023 is already on life support. 2 days before the extended warranty thru Costco ended, we had the circuit board replaced because the machine would not shut down at the end of its cycle. Had to be unplugged. Now, 2.5 years after purchase, the rinse cycle does not work. The auto sensing is a joke. I wish I still had my previous model where I could dictate the Amount of Water and Temperature with none of this AI/Auto Sensing BS. Will not be buying Whirlpool products again.
Poor customer service team
Poor customer service team. members want to serve but not able with little authority. about 30-35 minutes before connected and all with do is order a repair appointment. i learned today that repair folks must replace at least 3 parts of my double oven before i am eligible to discuss replacement of the oven. this 3 number is regardless of how many trips repair folks make to my home. don't purchase Whirlpool oven
"Buy USA" but the only option is TRASH
I've had the displeasure of purchasing a microwave from this company. I initially purchased this device because of its estimated date of delivery (within a week of ordering), but this was clearly FALSE ADVERTISING. I've already been charged for this product (despite it not being fulfilled or shipped), and it has had multiple delays in shipping. It is now over 2 weeks late. It was originally supposed to arrive on November 19th, then Nov 21st, then today.
Delays would be fine if communication about such delays was appropriate, but that didn't happen. When I called to ask about an accurate delivery time last week, I was placed on a TWO HOUR hold. Then I was lied to and told that I was at fault for not selecting a delivery date via an email that was sent (no such email was sent to me), and was promised that the delivery would be on the most recent delayed date (11/26). Well, I woke up today (11/26) and wouldn't you know what had another week of delays despite customer service promising otherwise? This worthless device is now plagued with even more delays. One star and it will NOT be revised.
Problems with Jennair fridge and oven
Our Jennair (now owned by Whirlpool) fridge and oven both developed problems with the control boards for the touch screens due to corrupted firmware. The firmware is proprietary and won’t allow these boards to be repaired. For the fridge, the part is not available anywhere. As a consequence, a $2000 refrigerator has to be thrown away and replaced. There is no customer service for this part since Whirlpool says it is discontinued.
Their products are junk
Their products are junk. We purchased a Whirlpool washer from Best Buy approximately 18 months ago. The unit doesn't clean the most basic stains. The wash cycle takes over an hour and the clothes come out so wet that it takes over an hour to dry a small load. The unit failed a few months after the warranty expired. Customer service did nothing to accomodate us even with a sliding scale on the repair. All they did was try and sell us a service contract. The price would have been as much as it would be to buy another unit. We were forced to buy a different washer and took a total loss on this piece of crap. BUY FROM A DIFFERENT MANUFACTURER! Whirlpool is not the company you remember.
Don’t Buy Whirlpool
I Bought a New Whirlpool Top Load Washer 4/2025 and It Lasted 1.5 Years and I Had to replace it .The Sensing when out of it first then The pump ran continuously I called then and more or less they told me sorry about your luck . Then they sent a email because I gave them a bad review and they did nothing then either . So stay way from Whirlpool Maytag ,Roper ,Frigidaire ,and all there brands or you will be sorry
Garbage don't waist your money
We bought a washer dryer set 12 months and 21 days before the washer motherboard completely died. The factory warranty is only good for twelve months and all they could say, was sorry and wanted to sell us $400+ 1-year warranty and that includes fixing it, that's almost the cost of a new washer. What kind of garbage are you selling that only lasts one year we now have to go buy an LG washer, which was highly recommended by our serviceman, that we had to pay $75 to tell us it was dead. Very disappointed in Whirlpool! I even asked the Whirlpool rep. they make garbage and we need to buy a new washer every year? Doesn't Whirlpool stand by their products, I got the peach they are only legally obligated to cover for the first yr. So my answer was Yes we sell garbage and Whirlpool doesn't care. LG you will be getting our money.
🚫 Broken promises and poor customer service from Whirlpool Hungaryointed with Whirlpool…
😔 I am very disappointed with Whirlpool Hungary.
🔁 What makes this experience particularly frustrating is that Whirlpool had previously promised that if the issue with my oven tripping the power turned out to be caused by the appliance itself, they would repair it under warranty.
Now, they are refusing to honor that earlier commitment.
⚡ My oven started tripping the power while still under warranty.
I reported the issue several times, and the appliance was even taken for service inspection — but the technicians could not find the problem.
They told me it must be an issue with my home’s electrical network, not with the oven.
🔧 Following this, several electricians tried to locate the supposed wiring fault in my home.
This involved extensive wall opening, rewiring, and restoration work — all of which cost me a significant amount of money.
Finally, about two months ago, an independent electrician proved that the problem had always been caused by the lower heating element of the Whirlpool oven — exactly as we had suspected from the start.
📋 During the previous service visit, the issue with the power outage was not properly documented on the official service report.
I raised this concern on-site, and the technician told me to contact customer service.
When I did, they assured me that it was not a problem if this was missing from the report, and they guaranteed that if it turned out later that the oven was indeed the cause, Whirlpool would fix it under warranty.
🧾 However, on the service report they only listed another issue — a problem with the control panel caused by moisture, which they did repair.
The electrical issue, which I had reported several times and which later caused all the trouble, was never recorded or investigated properly.
📷 The attached photo shows the lower heating element with the discharge mark, the burned heat-resistant insulation, and the charred aluminum protective layer.
📅 Now, years later, Whirlpool Hungary denies all responsibility, claiming that the warranty has expired and that there is “external interference” with the appliance.
They have also failed to respond to one of my last emails even after 30 days, and have not released the recordings of my earlier service-related phone calls, despite my request.
🙏 My request has always been simple:
to finally fix the issue that I had reported multiple times well within the warranty period and that was never resolved properly.
I am not asking for a new oven — just for them to replace the faulty heating element,
a part that costs only a few euros, and which has now been proven to be the root cause of all the issues since the beginning.
😕 It is disappointing to see such a well-known brand refusing to take responsibility and disregarding customer satisfaction.
