Whale are great. My pump works fantastic and simple to install.

Whale High Flow pump on a 6 month old Bailey Caravan failed on the second week of our France holiday - exactly the same fault a friend of mine had the week before - the pump stops working & blows the fuse in the caravan.
Whale customer service useless - not interested at all.
I obtained a replacement pump in France & fitted it - I became expert at re-calibrating the I C controller as I had to do virtually every day to get the new pump to work. I noticed that when the new pump would not turn off & after I had turned it off manually water dripped from the external connector socket on the caravan. I believe that air was getting into the system overnight & then the pump would not switch on the next day. When we got home I replaced both 'O' rings in the connector which has stopped the leak & now after re-calibrating again the pump will run & switch off when the tap is turned off but the water now slightly pulses.
Rang Whale technical to discuss this & offered to send the failed pump back to them to enable them to investigate the fault - they are not interested!!!
They gave little advice other than take the whole caravan back to the company we bought it from - Customer service zero!!!
I am seriously thinking of replacing the pump system completely as it cannot be relied on - the inboard pump fitted to our previous caravan (a Swift) never gave any trouble at all - I think it was a Truma

Had nothing but trouble with our whale caravan water pump. Despite the claim that once it's calibrated it will never need doing again. The only way to get it to work correctly is to re- calibrate it each time it's used. It's broken and let us down in France. No spares available. It doesn't maintain pressure ever. Customer service is hopeless. I will never again rely on this totally useless system and I would advise anyone who wants a reliable, dependable water pump to choose anything but Whale. If you do you will always be let down and regret it.

I have a Whale inline pump for my campervan, and need to replace the hoses both sides of the pump. This means finding the 'sleeves' that go inside the hose to get a smooth connection. Couldn't find any to purchase, so called the company and today received a couple of sleeves in the post. Thank you! It would be great if these were sold separately as the pumps may well outlast the connected hoses!

We a faulty Whale EP1642 Watermaster Pump so contacted Whale customer service. Our receipt was attached to the email.
Customer service team member Ian Lowry replied within 24 hours and said that as proof of purchase was attached Whale would replace the faulty pump. No argument or prevarication just great customer service.
By the way, the Whale designed pump is far superior to the original Truma pump.

Absolute horrible quality heaters. Our two year old caravan came fitted with a whale heater. Since we bought this caravan the heater has broken 3 times. The customer service is just as bad as their heaters, it seems their favourite form of of looking after customers is to ignore them until they go away. I would highly recommend to stay as far away as you can.

Poor customer service call out fee £102 given wrong information.

My hot/cold water system has been plumbed with 15mm Whale Quick Connect tubing. It started to develop hairline cracks next to the Calorifier.
I was finding it hard to get a stockist for the pipe. Even when I did find one they were quoting 3-4 weeks delivery.

I contacted customer services at Whale and they immediately agreed to cover the pipe under their 5 year warranty which I did not expect.

New tubing shipped immediately from NI and at no cost. Fantastic customer service. Thanks Peter

Had a whale shower pump installed which worked for a while.After making contact with the company as it was still under warranty,to explain that it was not working /taking the water away,they were not very helpful at all.
After a while they came out ,spent a good hour trying to rectify the problem.Then when they had no joy in making it work they asked me for money to replace it.What ever makes them think i am going to pay when it's still under warranty.In my opinion this is not the sort of company i would recomend to anybody.
There are plenty of other companies selling pumps so beware!You have been warned.
