Overcrowded, claustrophobic, noisy, slow network. The few call booths are all busy, while the vast majority of the offices are empty and locked. Ventilation sucks, AC is running at a bare minimum.

COMPLETELY DISSATISFIED AND NO MY CASE…

COMPLETELY DISSATISFIED AND NO MY CASE IS NOT RESOLVED.

I never leave reports so this must greatly dissatisfies me in order to spend any second on a feedback survey. I have cancelled my membership about a week or more before my membership ended. Can't remember exactly but I did it FAR in advanced because I knew I would be travelling. Yet my card was still charged- surprise surprise.

Firstly, I DO NOT understand why a refund process requires a bank deposit form to be filled. I don’t know all this information off hand and frankly some info my bank did not even have like the BIC code or whatever code even though its a well known bank (TD). Not sure why this is even required for refund, can’t you refund back on card like all merchants out there?! Not sure in what way WeWork is benefiting from this process especially for their reputation. It does not make it convenient for the consumer AT ALL.

Most people needing Wework spaces are entrepreneurs with BUSY schedules. But nevertheless, I complied, and called my bank in order to fill out form with information required. Might I add, they were not only surprised I had to fill out this form, but cautioned me against the sensitive info I would be giving out compromising my bank account and ALSO were confused by some of the info questioning whether this is a legitimate company. They even had to refer to upper management to get the information I needed to fill this damn form.

But, I did so anyway. 3 times in total in fact over the course of 2 months. The first time apparently info was wrong. So yet I had to call my bank to verify AGAIN.

Second time, I was on phone with them WHILE filling the form to ensure correct info. The lady Keerthana, told me I would receive a refund in 7-10 days. Great! I waited. Its been almost 2 weeks so I contact once again. Support team said 'they never got it' or 'there was a glitch in the system'.

No luck, made me wait. No direct line to call support team. Says will escalate case… that’s all.

So then I found out my travel plans are cancelled and I needed to use Wework again. Honestly LOVE the space, love it so much. It’s my second home and many locations, very convenient but this process of refund has been a nightmare. I asked that since there are credits in my account already that was failed to be refunded if I can just simply use it to reinstate my membership— all wasted time forgiven. BUT , apparently I can’t do this! Not only was I unable to sign in to my account to simply use the credits to reactive membership but the team told me I had to wait for a refund 7-10 days or forever for that matter based on this experience e— to restart the membership.

So yet Im here again, calling everyday asking about the refund because id like to get it before paying again to use the space as you can understand the hesitancy.

Got that form sent to me AGAIN. And AGAIN I called my bank because I dare not put in wrong information NOW.

I filled out the form for the THIRD TIME. They just sent me an email confirming the last four digits of the bank account it does not match mine which I had clearly wrote down in the form. I question the competency of the employees in the company.

I am so entirely frustrated with this process. It has been the most dreadful customer service experience. The only other one I can compare to is DHL express and I would say Your’s is significantly worse based on how long you ve made a loyal customer wait for a refund and lack of convenience with using credits in account.

And I AM STILL WAITING for that refund with high uncertainty whether they are even doing this properly.

Extremely poor quality private office …

Extremely poor quality office offered with limited. Absolutely no privacy, you can hear and see everything from meeting rooms to phonebooth to offices. It is a very old fashion business model with no much flexibility and being customers centric. Terrible customer service. Feedbacks are only contain within the same team and never reaches the main HQ.
The promised services and events are diminishing. I only recommend it as pay as you go shared desk.

I have been trying to get a quote … super interested In their downtown Chicago location And was looking to make a full commitment of six month Each time I call somebody in the headquarters quotes me different things and the emails I received from somebody else send me a different pricing higher one, on-site are different pricing …on top of this the people on the phone are so rude for no reason and super unhelpful and … I called hoping they could help me locate the lowest private office in Chicago ( which I need to use to attend virtual classes) they just want to hang up the phone on you for no reason even though I was polite the whole time… the last girl name was tyana.. and the one before was Sarah Lopez like .. one was worst than the other … I wish I could reach a higher management to address this issue .. they need training in basic human decency..

Sex on site (felt very uncomfortable) 708 Main St and 609 Jones Rd - Houston, TX

Unfortunately

1. Manager openly discussed sexual encounters during trips he took to Mexico. This is not illegal, it is just distasteful.

2. To the absolute best of my knowledge they were of legal age, but I was afraid to ask and the entire discussions creeped me out.

3. 2 WeWork members openly had sex on site, and to my knowledge a couple of the higher up staff members openly knew or turned the other side.

4. Black Lives Matter was openly ridiculed by some members.

5. Lot's of homophobic and transgender jokes that I did not find funny at all.

It's just a disgusting culture

Never Again. Loud music!!!

I had the unfortunate idea of renting an "on-demand" access to wework London at 1 Eastcheap.

First and foremost: there was loud music. I know that many can work with music, but I can't and I bet that many other professionals that need to actually work prefer silence over loud music.

Second: everyone is chatting in the whole space. Ridiculously, the guy who welcomed me at the reception sat close to me in the open space and he was the loudest at the table.

I left the space after 1 hour(ish) as I could not focus in there. Money and time wasted.

There are plenty of great places out there, and wework is the worst I have ever tried.

Appalling customer service

Appalling customer service. Was not allowed to access the building despite my subscription. I get that you need a key card to enter, but you can only get it in week days even in offices that are open 24/7.

Conclusion: I had to find another place to do my online interview on a Saturday evening because I was not allowed to use the service I am paying for

Shocking company

Absolutely shocking company. We were incorrectly setup and customer support never responds on the phone. Tried the 1 day call back option, but it's been 5 days and they haven't called back. We will therefore be forced to cancel our agreement and use one of WeWork's competitors instead.

Terrible customer service

Terrible customer service, the reps make you feel like you're tied into their contracts, some of the worst reps I have ever dealt with. The customer service is outright terrible. I think you sometimes forget whether Wework is meant for work or meant for socialising.

Their concept is def not going to work (wedontwork), and obviously its a bit concerning that this many people are paying for a membership and not actually doing anything with it.

Contradicting Billing Policy, Over-charged

I only needed the workspace for a few weeks and was told by a Senior Sales Rep I would be pro-rated for the last week of the month for which I did not need the membership. Come to find three months later, I had been charged the $299 each month since I was supposed to have ended my membership and never pro-rated. When I called Support, they told me they absolutely do not pro-rate even though I had shown him the email in which I was told by the sales rep that this could be done. In any case, not sure why I would still be getting charged months after my end date which was clearly stated in my signed agreement.

WeWork Singapore - Increased monthly subscription 2x without prior-warning and forcing to pay for an extra month

I was a happy member for about 6 month enjoying their discounted membership promotions…

In August these discounts have apparently expired without prior notice and I received a full bill on August 1st (Sunday). I asked if there are any promotions still available. They said NO. I then asked to cancel my membership (August 3rd), as I wasn’t interested to pay full price for the plan at that time, yet could reconsider later. WeWork however declined my membership cancellation request for the month of August, and said that they can only do that from the following month as mentioned in their “T&Cs”.

So basically I’m forced to pay a rate that I haven’t been warned about in advance for a month I’m not willing to use their services for. This incredibly inflexible and shady, especially coming from a company that prides itself for being a "welcoming community".

Reading other people's reviews here, I'm realising that it's pretty much their global standard practice. Feels like either bankruptcy or class action lawsuit or both are waiting to happen…

Free trial scam

I wanted to tour a wework office and was told that they don't do tours because of COVID so they offered me a 1 month free trial. I signed up but cancelled after two weeks. Despite cancellation they charged my card £325 (more than was even quoted), I submitted a request for a refund, the response just gave me some generic cancellation information, I tried to call different contact lines and received no call back. I emailed the people who sold me the free month trial and they simply said it can only be handled through their customer support. I am on hold as I write this now. Either the who free trial is a scam or their operations are poor. Either way, don't bother with this company.

Greedy corp. Money over Members.

Think twice before signing an extended lease and read their agreement very carefully. My small business has been on the hook since the pandemic started and have shelled out tens of thousands for an office we can't use. I requested cancellation of the membership and the response is, we'll come after you for the full amount due immediately and take your deposit. WeWork is a billion dollar company, their interest is money, not members. As an extra insult to injury, they are booting us out of a nice space and moving us to a subpar space to make room for a larger company renting the entire floor. Even in light of our space being taken, the response is pay up or we'll come after you. Gross.

Abismal internal communication / response from all WeWork contacts (London, UK)

Utterly unimpressed with mis- and un-communicative staff, service and back office teams. No reply / being sent 'round the house' EVERY time.

Have gone elsewhere and it has been a fantastic experience and my clients continue to comment on their welcome and the space itself (never happened at WeWork).

Seriously recommend looking for a co-working space provider that believes they should be providing services, rather than treating everyone like they're lucky to be there.
