6 meetings in 4 months, only 1 matched the agreed profile
We engaged Prospectify for their Bronze Package (50 qualified B2B meetings over 4-6 months) as an outsourced lead generation partner for our software services company.
During onboarding, we completed a detailed questionnaire defining our ideal customer profiles, target roles, industries, and qualification expectations. We were clear that we needed meetings with decision-makers who had a genuine need, not just anyone willing to take a call.
Four months into the engagement, we received 6 meetings. Of those, only 1 was with a legitimate prospect that matched our agreed profile. The rest included a contact from their own referral network who spent the call pitching his product to us, an executive assistant at a mining company (not our target industry or role), and three hotel property managers booked within 90 minutes of each other for needs unrelated to our services. Two of the three hotel meetings were effectively no-shows - one reached a front desk, the other went unanswered.
When we raised quality concerns with documented evidence, the response was defensive rather than constructive. Our concerns about ICP alignment were dismissed, and we were told that in 1,500+ meetings this was the first time a partner had pushed back - which felt more like pressure than reassurance.
When we proposed settling based on actual meeting quality, they held firm on counting all 6 meetings as delivered regardless of whether conversations actually took place.
If you are considering Prospectify, my advice would be: get very specific contractual language around what constitutes a qualified meeting, insist on call transcripts or recordings for every booked meeting, and understand that their definition of "qualified" may be significantly broader than yours. Also clarify upfront whether contacts from their own network can be presented as prospects.
