Andy the guide was superb. Very helpful. Planning our itinerary to best advantage ie when the 🐼 pandas would be active, places would be less crowded and reduce/minimize queuing times eg at the great wall and Tianaman square etc.

Gems of China …wow what an amazing experience
Just back from the Gems of China tour (9 -24 April 2026) with my hubby and 26 others from UK, New Zealand and Australia, who we hadn’t met before, but all got on really well together . What can I say, what an absolutely amazing holiday from start to finish taking in many sites from Beijing to Shanghai, including a cruise on the Yangtze River, with the fantastic Penny as our guide, who looked after us so well. Penny is a fab tour guide very knowledgeable and very caring, we were all part of her ‘family’ and had many ‘family’ photos and videos with her. (Penny when you have time from your hectic schedule, we would all love to have these emailed to us x)
This holiday was a dream come true and we made so many lasting memories, and ticked off so much from our bucket list. (Great Wall, Pandas, terracotta warriors to name just a few). It was a very tiring tour as there were really long days with so much walking, but it was well worth it. I would highly recommend this tour. Every hotel used throughout were amazing, so clean with some with high tech gadgets eg electric toilets that opened the lid and closed and flushed on their own, which made us smile, curtains that opened and closed with the touch of a button, and very comfy beds . Thank you Wendy wu and especially Penny and all the local guides who made this holiday perfect.

Captivating journey/adventure
We discovered Wendy Wu Tours by pure accident, browsing for an itinerary that would cater for what we wanted to see/do & experience. The tour Tibetan Railroad didn’t disappoint, from our 1st local guide Daniel in Beijing, to meeting & spending the rest of our tour with Addison, & local guides Max, Sally, Tenzing their hospitality, knowledge, patience with questions inspiring. This trip for me is fulfilled with positives, & lasting memories. Itinerary captivated the beauties & raw bustle of China/Tibet.

Paid for very expensive “holiday of a…
Paid for very expensive “holiday of a lifetime “ tour of Vietnam/Cambodia and Thailand - 18 others from Ireland /england /australia /New Zealand and we all agreed holiday package and quality did not remotely equate to what we had been sold ( all said we would never use this company again ) - brought to uniesco tourist spot on day when closed - no choices in meals and in Vietnam given plate of food and told to share with 4 others (some of “quality restaurants we were told we would dine in were actually same as our sons/friends ate in when they were in same countries as us but on a budget backpacking holiday ! Spend hours in airport (itinerary said was “shopping day !) waiting on internal flights - was offered €300 each in compensation for long list of failed promises /experiences (the above is a fraction of problems ) towards future holiday booking with Wendy Woo - but will never use this company again

We have been on a Wendy Wu tour before. It was everything and more than we expected. Sophie Jin our tour guide is one of the best we have ever dealt with. There was nothing that was too much trouble for her.The accommodation was excellent. Every place we visited was spectacular . She even made sure that every City we visited our meals matched each province. We will definitely be doing another tour with Wendy Wu. Mainly because of the expert services Sophie gave.

Fab guides on the Tibetan Railroad Trip

I can't say anything about the quality…
I can't say anything about the quality of the holiday as it has been cancelled. I am very disappointed as I was advised they would honour the price of our holiday if we were to move it, but when I took them up on that offer they wanted to add additional surcharges for the flights (which amounted to hundreds extra) and increased the price substantially, whereas initially the price was fully inclusive of flights (this did not seem like a price match to us). Ultimately we ended up having to cancel as it took us over our budget. In fairness they are returning my deposit - but I would expect that as I wasn't the one who cancelled the holiday. Very disappointed as was really looking forward to it.

What a wonderful experience the Jewels of Japan trip was! Wendy Wu communicated everything very well and made sure this trip was a truly immersive experience from creating Sobo noodles to trying our hand at origami! We really felt the Japanese culture and enjoyed this trip of a lifetime!

My partner and I have just returned from a tour of China with Wendy Wu, visiting Beijing, The Terra Cotta Army and Shanghai. The holiday was excellent in all respects, the Hotels were minimum 4*, the food was different and delicious and the excursions were interesting and enjoyable. But what will make this holiday an unforgettable one, was the guide we had. Lee Fong went out of her way to ensure everyone enjoyed themselves, and I cannot sing her praise high enough, she is a great credit to Wendy Wu !!

China was a brilliant experience not just in its ‘highlights’ that was the purpose of the trip but the country itself.

A feast of cultural, natural and man made wonders
The holiday delivered exactly what it promised. All the arrangements for transport, meals and experiences went smoothly thanks to the staff behind the scenes and the guides.
