Cannot recommend

Unfortunately I've had a very poor experience with this surgery and have now registered with another practice. I found communication really difficult despite using preferred method of contact and often got no response. When phoning you get told triage will contact you, which was invariably by text resulting in another phone call. I never managed to see or speak to a doctor in two years. In house Pharmacy always on ansaphone and never call back to messages. Surgery always empty when I visited. Responses from Staff feel scripted and robotic although pleasant enough when you actually meet them.

Repeated Failures Bordering on Dangerous

Have been trying to sort out a relatively common issue for months.
Initially had a text asking me to book an appt - followed link - took me to several different options. Emailed asking who to book in with. No answer (not the first time an email to them has been ignored).
Then requested a GP appt (made it clear why I wanted a doctor on online request). Message telling me to book a CNS clinic.
Telephoned, explained why I wanted to see a doctor, was told it would be passed back to triage team. Received another message advising me to book into a CNS clinic, which for various reasons was not appropriate. Finally given link to book to see GP - ages away.
Symptoms significantly worsened. 111 advised emergency ambulance. Holding measures implemented by ED including infusions at hospital (very grateful, but would never have been needed had I been taken seriously when I contacted them).
GP appt - GP himself was pleasant. Prescribed a medication I realised was not suitable. Sent another online communication. No response. Phoned to be told they had decided I was fine to take it. Not communicated to me at all. Explained it was an unsuitable option for reasons I'd already clearly outlined in my communication. Informed I would be contacted. Nothing.
Phoned again following day (spent over 20mins in queue) - informed I was on list for pharmacist call-back that day, and they would try to expedite. No call all afternoon.
Called again (spent over 40 mins in queue). Was told I'd be put on hold - returned to dial tone, then eventually a voicemail.
Gave up and phoned 111 again.

I am a professional who can advocate for myself, and know when something is or is not wrong. If I cannot receive basic care, and am repeatedly ignored and lied to, I dread to think of the service they offer to vulnerable people.

The receptionists are pleasant (when you finally get through to them), the HCA who took my blood (after I finally saw the GP) was excellent, and the pharmacists have mostly been helpful, but actual care, consistency and anything that a GP service should provide is a shambles.

Poor service

I want it stated that once you get an appointment, the experience is fine. However, it's getting the appointment that is difficult, and why I have given a one-star review.

Essentially, I need a GP referral for a cardiology appointment. I call on Monday to be told they are at capacity and the phone line cuts out. I then complete an online form for triage, receive a text saying it may take a day. I wait a day, and still nothing. Call again, 5th in the queue so decide to opt for a call back. No call back happens. So I call again the next day, 16th in the queue, and decide to opt for the call back service and if they don't call I will go to the surgery. This time they do call back which I am grateful for. However, it turns out they will call back to complete a triage form, which is the very same form I did on Monday!

I don't understand why it is so difficult to get an appointment, WellBN's reputation in the city is known, as I really didn't want to go through them to get a referral so I spoke to the nurse at the walk-in centre about the surgery, and she agreed saying "some are worse than others'.

If you are new to Brighton, I would swerve this one for now. Until their service improves.

Feeling unwell? WellBN will make you feel worse - not you can ever get to see or talk to anyone.
Feeling unwell? - So, basically, if you try and ring it takes hours, if you go online you're directed to a completely ridiculous triage website that takes hours to fill out.
And done all that? They don't want to see you. They will do everything under the sun to not see you, not do anything for you.
The staff are truly lovely and wonderful, but whoever runs this place, their ethos is screw the money out of the NHS and do absolutely nothing for their patients.

Absolutely terrible service

Absolutely terrible service. The reception staff, especially Rachel, are really nice and some of the medical staff are as well, but generally you don't get anywhere. Every person I know that attends says the same thing. Don't get results, ask for help, get a phone number for volunteer service or referred to the wrong hospital. Waited 5 years and 3 years for 2 different referrals. Don't record the conversations they have with you and record false information.
