It was fine for a while, but then...
It was fine for a while, but then it all just went bad. First, it got harder to navigate, and a misclick could mess up the whole thing. But the real problem started today.
I was checking on the website when it broke. There's no other word for it. The functionality broke, and we lost access to half of our pages. The font changed, and we lost buttons.
I am looking for a better platform to use.
Update: I have fixed it. I'm still annoyed, though.
jokers
I locked in with my media work, wrote so so so so so much for me to publish and lose it all, the websites layout makes me feel like I'm using a type writer and Im only 16... sort it out
Services are really bad
Services are really bad. Customer service does not give you a decent reply and in the meantime I cannot get my domain or website back online which is offline by their lack of service anyway.
terrible service.
spend £1000 a year on my site and I can't even get the features I opted for. No help from customer service either. Don't trust the reviews who place them in the top 5 of web hosts. they are terrible.
Simple made infuriatingly complicated
Janky/cheap service with design flaws. CONSTANTLY running in circles over the simplest things. My password is always "incorrect" (when it's definitely not) so have to reset EVERY time and the verification codes they send, they won't accept even tho they are ALSO exactly copied. Have had to call for support multiple times, again for the simplest things which should not require hours on the phone. So stupid. Not using this service any more and would not recommend to anyone
Weebly has gone to total garbage
Weebly has gone to total garbage. They SAY they offer free domain hosting, they do not. You used to be able to just enter the domain name you wanted to use but now it sends you to a page where you MUST PAY $120 for the year. So that is FALSE ADVERTISING. I tried a different browser but that didn't work and then I called in and two operators didn't really know what I was talking about and couldn't fix it. Also, even though I have an account and a website, they couldn't find my account that I created YESTERDAY. Weebly is done, stick a fork in it!
Awful experience,,,submit a ticket…
Awful experience,,,submit a ticket enquiry and they don't answer. Chat is useless and they keep promising to rectify issues ( i was actually on the chat for 2 hours ). Of course, it was not rectified. Terrible company.
created a free website & now cannot access
created a free website and now cannot access the website to reset my forgotten password. emailed back and forth & still a simple password reset cannot be done. don't use weebly.... it stinks & no help for simple password reset. website clearly goes to my email but help says they don't recognize my email as connected to my profile...WHAT?? even my buttons on my website go straight to my email but Weebly doesn't see that it's connected.... WHAT??? NEVER NEVER NEVER use this dumb useless thing
Weebly - good only as a free service
I normally don't use Weebly, but we inherited a site. The site kept dimming when users went on line. The problem is in at least 2 of their themes. An hour long phone call, resulted in them republishing the site and wiping out resources. Final advice they gave was to change themes.
In the end, I rebuilt the website using off-site tools.
This is a company pretending to be professional, when they are really just the equivalent of a free platform. We will be moving elsewhere when our paid contract is over.
Do not pay for this service. There are many other decent companies out there.
I was dissatisfied with the lack of…
I was dissatisfied with the lack of functionality so I decided to transfer my domain to another registrar. However, I was not able to update the DNS for the new provider which ended up to fail despite you can see the button to edit the server name on my Weebly profile. After many emails sent, they did not take the appropriate action to edit the DNS server on their end following the action to unlock the domain first.
Don’t care about clients
Have used weebly for years but only noticed the app wasn’t working when I tried to log in to amend the website. I called weebly unbeknownst to me that this call which lasted 11 mins cost me over £53.00 only to be told yeah the app doesn’t work in your region anymore. No email to explain this was happening but quick enough taking subscription charges. When I complained I was told simply sorry no reimbursement for the call so after very quick decision I have decided to now part ways with weebly/square I made my thoughts clear on this to be told “no problem” clearly they no longer care about long term clients or any clients looking at the reviews. So in short do not recommend and would never use them again however I don’t think they’ll care.

Disappointed with Weebly (Now Owned by Square)
I’ve been a loyal Weebly user for 8 years, and I’m genuinely disappointed with how things have changed since the platform was taken over by Square (not to be confused with Squarespace).
Until recently, I had a good experience. But over the past 30 days, support has become incredibly frustrating. I submitted around ten detailed support requests regarding a specific file issue, providing all necessary information—file names, file locations, and direct links. Despite this, replies were delayed (often taking three days) and usually asked for the same information again. In most cases, the ticket was then closed without resolution.
When I called their phone support, I faced long wait times, and the support agents didn’t seem to understand their own system. Each time I called, I had to re-explain everything to a new person. Now, to make matters worse, my account has been locked, and I’m told there’s “no issue.” Yet I still can’t access it.
I'm genuinely sorry to leave a review like this after so many years, but I feel I have no other choice. Everyone paying for a service deserves fair, competent support, especially businesses that rely on their website to stay afloat. Other users deserve to be aware of these internal support challenges before committing to the platform.
Please don’t just take my word for it—check other online reviews and comments. There’s a clear pattern. In my opinion, Square’s customer service does not meet the needs of businesses that require timely, knowledgeable assistance.
If you're using Weebly or considering it for your business, proceed with caution. Based on my recent experience, the support is unreliable and can lead to major disruptions when you need help the most.
Don't understand customer service
Don't seem to understand they have customers in Europe - so no customer service until mid afternoon UK time. After several years using the same login/ password, etc, it suddenly refused to recognise me. I had done nothing to change anything as I'd been on holiday with no access. Well-used links now just take me to a new Square website creation page. And no customer service in UK or on European time! (does Trump stop to think why Europeans don't buy enough US goods? This is why)
Post script: I eventually got through to someone in the US, but when they couldn't rectify the issue after 1.5 hours on the phone, they said they would put me through to 'Customer Service' - which was closed by then because they only open to 5pm for UK customers. So I was cut off, still unresolved.

7 days of promises …
Namesco passed the correct dns info to Weebly 7 days ago and it has passed both the A and CName globally but STILL no SSL for my website . The agents who get in touch with me all say different things. None have worked . Then I actually go through to USA support and they agree that all was fine and went off to launch the certificate. 48 hours I am STILL waiting. WHO do i talk to senior to get things done
TRASHY APP
WEEBLY IS SO TRASH I CANT ADD NOTHING IN THERE ITS SO BAD I LITERALLY HAD TO CRASH OUT I WouLD RATHER BE SHOT THEN USE THIS INCONVENIENT aPP EVER AGAIN IT SO BADDD
Weebly used to be good
Weebly used to be good. Not anymore. Last year, in June, they more than DOUBLED the price of my monthly subscription - from $36.65/month to $89, while making things LESS FUNCTIONAL! For example, links used to be clickable...you could say, CLICK HERE. Now, instead when you post a link, it will say: CLICK HERE www.xyz or something like that. SO the click here part is not clickable and it ends up looking stupid and unprofessional. So sad.
In 2025
In 2025, the Weebly website building platform is dead. It just doesn’t work at all. Go into the editor and nothing is even clickable. No editing options at all. The only function that works is changing from laptop to mobile view. Tried it on multiple browsers, same experience. It’s bizarre. Avoid Weebly like it’s the plague.
Unacceptable Service & Major Business…
Unacceptable Service & Major Business Disruption
I am extremely disappointed with Weebly and Square’s customer service. Our business email and domain have been completely non-functional since February 25, causing significant financial losses and frustration among our clients who are unable to reach us.
Despite multiple attempts to contact support, the response has been slow and ineffective. Clients are reporting bounced emails, and we are missing critical deadlines due to this ongoing issue. The lack of urgency and accountability from Weebly and Square is completely unacceptable for a company that claims to support businesses.
We rely on their platform for our operations, and this failure is damaging our reputation and revenue. If this issue is not resolved immediately, we will be forced to take further action. I strongly advise businesses to reconsider using Weebly or Square if they value reliability and professional support.
Just Say No. Save yourself.
It's 2025, and any other option is better than
Weebly.
1. There is no customer service, even for paid customers.
2. Templates and edit options are primitive and clumsy.
3. Square integration is invisible and/or theoretical.
