I had an excellent experience with Websters on a level 2 survey on a flat. Natyshia Barned handled the arrangements. She was friendly and prompt, and put me at ease straight away. My surveyor was Stuart Boughley. His report was very thorough and clear. He took time to address the list of specific issues I provided, and included lots of photos. I felt he took real care over the job on my behalf. The courtesy call after the survey is a great idea and really helped. We've used Websters to conduct a homebuyer survey for two properties and have been really impressed both times. From the initial quotation, paying and booking the survey, to the communication before and after the survey - they consistently exceed expectations and provide an excellent service. We had Danny and Reina conduct our surveys respectively and they have both been brilliant with our follow-up questions. A great independent business that I can highly recommend.

Great Service
I have now used Websters on a few occasions and have received the same excellent service each time. Any time I have called up, I have typically spoken with Stacey, who has always been able to answer all of my questions or resolve any queries quickly and with a good sense of humour.
The surveys themselves are very thorough, but what really stands out is the time taken after getting back the report to talk through the findings. The time spent post-survey explaining points, discussing issues, and clarifying any questions I had was fantastic and gave me a proper understanding the situation.
Stuart, who conducted the survey, was extremely helpful. He took the time to really go through everything carefully, making sure I was comfortable with all the information and understood what my next steps were and what options were available to me.
Hopefully I won’t need to use them again for a while, but if I do, they will definitely be the people for the job.

I couldn’t recommend this service more. My partner and i looking were looking to secure our first property and considered a couple of different surveyors through recommendations to help with this somewhat daunting process. We were lucky enough to stumble upon Websters, and was so well looked after by a team member called Stevie, who made the whole experience seamless (we had no idea what we were doing), but it was made easy and left feeling confident it would get sorted. Wanted to leave a review as i know first hand how stressful buying your first house can be, and it was made easy for us. Thanks!

Best value for money
We worked with Reina to carry out a Level 2 survey. It was the best first step we did after pur offer was accepted to a flat we didn't end up purchasing in the end. Reina was professional, very thorough and produced an excellent report. She was also very helpful answering our questions and chatting through the report with us, making useful recommendations. We decided to pull out of the purchase afterall as the flat had a number of issues and repairs that we wouldnt have known otherwise. Grateful to Websters Surveyors and Reina's team. We will certainly be commissioning again in our next attempt to buy a property.

We were very happy with the survey provided by Ed Ellis at Websters Surveyors. The property we are purchasing in unconventional and Ed went to great lengths to ensure the report was thorough and clearly written, and included detailed advice on next steps. Ed then took the time to go through the report with us via video call which was incredibly helpful and highlighted priority areas for us to investigate. Couldn't recommend more!
Exceptional service and level of detail!
We can't recommend Websters Surveyors enough! We had the pleasure of Joss completing a Level 3 survey on the Grade II listed property we are in the process of buying and the level of detail and professionalism throughout the report was extraordinary. Every inch of the property was poured over, with detailed explanations and suggestions throughout. I also had a follow up phone call with Joss to go through some of the more complicated details of the report and he was able to answer all of my questions expertly - thoroughly putting both my husband and I at ease about our upcoming purchase. You'd be silly not to invest in a survey by Websters!
Be careful with these guys on complex jobs
We paid for a full Level 3 Survey on a new-build property in Cheshunt, the most detailed and expensive option due to concerning behaviour from the sellers. We were told it was not needed but we decided to do it thinking we would be covered. What we received was a report that missed multiple obvious and costly defects.
The surveyor failed to identify issues with the garage door and did not note that essential fobs were missing. When we raised this, the response from Reina there was no acknowledgment of error.
More seriously, we also discovered the step outside the back door was completely rotten. This was not mentioned anywhere in the report and ultimately required the replacement of the entire back door with a new PVC unit.
In addition, a window in one of the rooms had been covered in paper tape. We were told this was because the owner was “afraid of spiders”. Once properly inspected, it became clear the tape was hiding a significant gap in the window frame daylight was visible from outside. This window also had to be replaced.
These are not minor or hidden defects. They are the exact type of issues a Level 3 Survey is supposed to identify or, at the very least, flag as concerns. None were recorded, and no warnings were given.
We checked out reviews before using them but I can only assume that most of the reviews are surely for easy jobs. Paying top price for a survey that missed such fundamental problems has resulted in avoidable expense and frustration. Based on our experience, this service was a complete waste of money.
Yes the reason we did not bother replying was because of the issue we had, it turns out that the overall service was lacking. Reason we had not posted this earlier is because we have been busy. Regardless of this poor service
