I was very impressed with the quality or service and attention to details

I was very impressed with Webdesigneagle’s organization and delivery. I particularly appreciated that they appoint a project leader, which allows the centralization of communication and greatly improves execution.
I highly recommend them, and particularly Jerry our project manager. He - and the team he coordinates - definitely get the job done. The price was right, too.

BEWARE - Unethical Biz Practices & Hidden Fees

I hired Webdesigneagle for $149 for website design with a 100% satisfaction and money back guarantee seacpas domain. They then attempted to collect an additional $5,840 in fraudulent fees that they claimed were necessary.

I've had my domain for 23 years and had prepaid my domain registration with networksolutions more than 7 years in advance (through 2032) and I had web hosting through web.com for $20 per month.

Webdesigneagle contacted me and told me that I needed to purchase my domain permanently from ICANN for $3,440 and that this expense was 100% pass-through cost to ICANN. They stated they weren't making anything on the transaction. I was sent a contract showing domain license purchase from ICANN on it and invoice from ICANN using the ICANN trademark and Logo.

Webdesigneagle then told me that I needed to switch my hosting provider because they had designed my website using a format that required a windows server and that web.com doesn't support windows servers. They wanted $2400 one time fee or $1500 + $127 per month for 3-4 month minimum before I could move my hosting to another provider.

I placed my trust in them, but at this point, I knew I was being scammed. Here is what I found:

1. ICANN doesn't sell domain licenses, let alone the lifetime license they indicated I purchased.

2. Webdesigneagle transferred my prepaid domain registration to NameCheap.com, who runs an affiliate program with providers like Webdesigneagle so they could collect a referral fee. This resulted in the loss of approximately $980 in prepaid registrar fees I had prepaid to networksolutions.

3. My domain registration with networksolutions was independent of the web design work I hired them to do. The transfer was not necessary, but it enabled them to seize my domain when I caught on to their scam.

4. Webdesigneagle deliberately created my new website design in a format that required a windows server, with a hosting company that has inflated monthly hosting prices, also runs an affiliate program, and pays them (webdesigneagle) a referral fee.

5. Webdesigneagle offers website design in wordpress and knew my current hosting provider, Web.com, supports wordpress, but it deliberately did the work in a format that required a windows server, which is not supported by my provider, web.com. This was designed to force me to switch webhosting to their affiliate earning them a referral fee.

6. If Webdesigneagle had been working in my best interest, they would have done the work in wordpress (which they support) and not transferred my domain name to an affiliate. They put their financial interest first and attempted to compel me to switch hosting to their affiliates to generate referral fees.

When I invoked their satisfaction guarantee and asked them to refund my money, they initially refused, so I processed a chargeback. Despite the money back guarantee, Webdesigneagle seized my domain name, a domain name that I have leased for the past 23 years and had prepaid through 2032.

As of 04-22-2025, they refuse to provide me with an authorization to transfer my domain back to networksolutions, the company that I prepaid through 2032, putting me in the position I would be had I not done business with them in the first place.

Under Webdesigneagle 100% customer satisfaction guarantee, I don't owe anything and they can't legally seize my domain.

Webdesigneagle lied and provided a fictitious ICANN contract and ICANN invoice then designed my website in a format required me to use their affiliate webhosting partner so that they could collect an affiliate referral fee.

Do not allow Webdesigneagle to transfer your domain or switch your webhost. Use your current registrar and ensure that they design your website in a format supported by your current webhosting company.

If webdesigneagle is honest, they will provide me with the authorization code (EPP code) to transfer my domain registrar back to networksolutions. If they provide my authorization code, I will update this review to show that they returned my domain name to me.
