This website is a scam

This website is a scam. I apparently clicked on to their website for some reason which I don’t recall. After that I have been scammed for 3 payments @£ 39-95 and 1 of £2. I managed to find their contact details and asked for a refund. No reply. Lloyds bank have been contacted to help resolve this matter. Beware.

WebbMaxx are scammers !

Webbmaxx are scamming people to trick them to sign up to their services.
Webbmaxx, and what turned out to be their parent company Engold Limited are involved in an ONLINE SCAM offer for a 'free' Greggs Yeti 42oz Rambler mug.
After I clicked to order this 'free' mug I was advised that I would need to pay a carriage charge in order to receive it. ( this it turns out is so they can get your card details)
After paying the carriage I then received a confirmation invoice receipt by email from a company called Engold Limited, but with the item ordered now being described as for a 'Webbmaxx.com 3 days trial'...?? and with the following ominous foot note :-
"Once the promotional period is over, your account will incur a £39.95 charge every 14 days.
This order is associated with an active subscription. To cancel, please get in touch with our support team via +44 330 808 5615."
I also got a separate email confirming that an account had been set up for me, c/w a username, password and Login !!
I rang and cancelled the subscription via the telephone number above and when I enquired about the whereabouts of the Yeti mug the guy who said he worked for WebbMaxx said; "We do not have any relation to tangible products. We provide only online service".
** BEWARE - WebbMaxx processed my card details under FALSE pretences in order to tie me in to an unwanted trial subscription, rather then for the stated carriage charge I thought I was paying for.

Needless to say I never received the mug, or a credit for the carriage paid....this is fraud by false representation.

Scammers

Responded to a John Lewis advert on Facebook. Agreed to pay £10. Was diverted to payment page. Subsequently had 10 euros debited from webbmaxx and told I had subscribed to some internet service. Contacted them and received delaying tactics regarding reimbursement, will now issue court proceedings. THESE ARE SCAMMERS - BEWARE

This company lured my wife in by…

This company lured my wife in by clicking on an advert for cheese of all things. She then paid a small amount for postage and then realised it was a scam.we ended up almost having nearly 50 quid stolen but our bank flagged up the transaction as fraudulent so we weren't charged. This company is obviously engaging in fraud and should be avoided at all costs.

**BE AWARE** Do not take up any offers on FB for ScrewFix. There was a certain offer for a tool case socket set where you pay a pound BUT it does not end there and they gradually ask for more, £2 and then the postage cost which they do not mention. These people at this stage are abroad, out of the UK as they do understand English, confirmed by their email communication, which they ignore when confronted.

A few weeks later you'll get an email out the blue from WebbMaxx,com saying that you have signed up for their website software and you will be charged £39.99 every 14 days! You'll be told you received confirmation and registration emails and a password to enter your account, which of course you do not.

The clue is in what does a tool kit socket set from a fake ScrewFix offer got to do with a 3 day trial of website making software.

Of course all these T&C and mention of a free trial are not visible when you first sign up and it's all part of the clever scam. I ve been sent a copy of the contract and T&C probably been put together by some crooked law firm.
