Shameless financial abusers.

I am a PA for a SEND individual and as I have a disability myself this has been my only source of income for a while now. Over at least the last two years Purple have made multiple unique and repeated mistakes that have continuously disrupted my pay. The last 5 months has seen each seen a different error that has led to serious financial consequences, and misunderstandings and tensions between myself and my employer's family that have in turn caused more financial harm for me.

Purple do not reply to emails and I have lost entire days attempting to speak to someone on the phone.

They have a duty of care to the people they are supposed to be paying and they are a relentless, miserable failure at it.

Avoid these shameless financial abusers.

Absolutely awful company

Absolutely awful company. They underpay people and don’t pay them at all. When you have to chase for the money that you are owed they are rude and use an attitude. I’ve only ever came across one nice genuine person that works for this company. They are a disgrace especially for saying they are there to help the vulnerable pay the people that look after them. Absolutely diabolical establishment that needs to put shut down permanently.

Stay away from them if you ever want to be paid

I would give them 0 stars but unfortunately that isn’t an option. They are so unreliable with pay. As a single mum who relies on these payments i was due to be paid 5 days ago and still waiting. They never answer calls or emails. Always broken promises that the pay will be in by the end of the day. By which point the office is shut so you have to wait the next day, and try contact them again. Oxfordshire branch is unmanned so you are never going to get an answer. Picking up employment as a PA if they were paid through purple would be a deciding factor on me not picking up that work.

Terrible service, dont answer calls, lots of errors. Dont send clients statements to manage there money. Ive moved my clients to Rosekel much better service.
These should be investigated and social services should offer a choice to service users.

Disgusting company, avoid

Purple are the absolute worst payroll company I’ve ever seen, constantly not paying on time, never answering the phone, completely incompetent, now they are introducing a pay within 30 days so we get to work 4 weeks in advance then send our invoices and at some point within 30 days we might get paid but no set pay date and nobody knows when, so we are waiting the best part of 2 months for payment, this company has caused me financial hardship, bank charges, having to cancel client visits and so much stress I am now taking it further.

The way they carry on is unpredictable unprofessional and under par performance when people work so hard traveling all day back and fourth to keep clients well being kept up. Purple have no regards for cost of living cost of fuel and cost of people's livelihoods. They should be shut down and taken over. Completely unacceptable carrying on here!!!

DO NOT USE

I have a vulnerable client that employed me as their PA and unfortunately, they used this company as their payroll help. I was advised by them to fill out the appropriate forms and checks and was confirmed that I had set up my payment details correctly and advised where the invoices should be sent. I have received NO payments whatsoever, I am owed £500+ and they have ignored all calls and emails. They are withholding payments from vulnerable people and I have no idea how they are getting away with it. I will be advising anyone to not use this company to manage their accounts as they are now coming across fraudulent. I will be raising this higher with ACAS as I doubt my formal complaint will be replied to either.

I am writing this review with absolute…

I am writing this review with absolute seriousness and deep concern regarding Purple, a company which, in my opinion, has behaved in a disgraceful and unacceptable manner.

This is not simply poor customer service. This is a matter involving vulnerable people, hardworking staff, unpaid wages, broken promises, lack of communication, and conduct that appears, from my family’s experience, to be deeply dishonest and potentially fraudulent.

Members of my family have been repeatedly misled. They have been told one thing and then another. They have waited for calls that were promised within two hours and never received. They have been left without proper updates, without clear answers, and, most disgracefully, without money they are owed.

For four months, my family members have been waiting to be paid. They were made redundant, yet only recently received their P45, meaning they were left in an even more difficult position when trying to claim support or move forward with their lives. No responsible employer should behave in this way. No care provider should treat people with such disregard.

The paperwork states that holiday pay has been paid, yet no money has reached the relevant bank account. That is extremely serious. If documentation says payment has been made when it has not, then this raises grave concerns about the integrity and competence of the business.

The communication from Purple has been appalling. Staff appear to be working from home, with children crying in the background during calls, while giving assurances that are not followed through. There is no professionalism, no accountability, and no urgency shown towards people who are owed money and deserve basic respect.

For a company operating in the care sector, this is especially disturbing. Care services should be built on trust, compassion, responsibility, and integrity. Based on what my family has experienced, Purple has failed on every level. In my opinion, they are not fit for purpose and should be ashamed of the distress they have caused.

This matter has now been reported to ACAS and the appropriate care authorities, because people cannot simply be left unpaid, ignored, and misled. There must be accountability. How many people have to be left out of pocket before action is taken?
This company is, in my view, a disgrace to the care sector. I would strongly urge anyone considering working for or engaging with Purple to proceed with extreme caution… or frankly… run.

Absolutely disgraceful company

Absolutely disgraceful company. I’ve have written formal complaints that have been ignored, countless emails and voice mails left to no response. Haven’t been paid and left completely in the lurch. They don’t care about staff all they want if the money from their clients. Avoid. The Leicester branch is one of the worst fraudulent companies I’ve ever seen. Don’t even try to call them to ask for you money as they ignore them anyway. Reporting to the care commissioner!

Absolutely appalling customer liaison and Payroll Department

I googled wearepuple to see whether it was just me after a frustrating period of trying to get my pay and P45 since January 2026! No one responds to emails despite evidence of delivery, the Oxford Payroll Dept never ever answers the phone and when you leave a message despite promises of returning your call in two hours, they never ever do. It is so frustrating that apart from turning up at their offices, which should they fail to respond to my official complaint via their complaints procedure, I will have no alternative than to arrive at their offices until my issue is resolved.
I would not take a job now that paid me through this company as I have often had communication issues with this organisation in the 15 years I have worked in the Special Needs industry. Avoid this company!

1 star is far too much!!

Social Work should hang their head in shame letting this bunch of cowboys take over payroll services for vulnerable people.
Noone responds to Emails for weeks, no point calling them they ignore that too!!
They dont pay your Tax, National Insurance Contributions or Pension. You will end up with multiple Summary warrants for payment.
Your wages are done at the last minute and often wrong.
You will lose staff because of it all.
Avoid like the plague!!

Disgraceful

Another month later and again none of my PA’s have been paid. Refusing to return calls or answer my calls. Despite me ringing a week ago to ensure we didn’t have a repeat of last month where PA’s didn’t get paid and I spent a full day trying to resolve.

DO NOT PAY STAFF

Absolutely terrible payroll service. We constantly have issues with missing wages and late payments. Every single month our entire care team has to spend all day chasing them because we haven't been paid at all, despite our employer submitting time sheets on time every month, and calling them a week before payday to make sure we will be paid and purple promising we will be. It creates unnecessary stress for staff who rely on being paid for our work on time.
They also fail to send wage slips, which is a basic part of payroll and something employees are legally entitled to. Trying to contact them to fix these issues is impossible, phones go unanswered and messages are never returned despite the voicemail saying they'll call back within 2hrs. No enrolment into a pension either.
Because they are so unresponsive, our employer ends up spending all day trying to chase them for us, often having to involve the local authority just to get problems sorted. This should not be necessary for a payroll company that is supposed to manage payments professionally.
Overall the service is completely unreliable, extremely difficult to deal with, and causes ongoing problems for staff and employers. I would strongly advise anyone considering using this company to look elsewhere.

Absolutely awful company

Absolutely awful company ! DO NOT USE AND DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! Causing nothing but problems, their payroll department can't process any payments on time they are always late. One of our carers has not been paid for over a month.
No one answers the phone nor reply to emails unless you constantly chase! Suppose to take the pressure off and make it easier but they are doing the opposite.
