I was really excited to see these new pads as they are flushable (I dislike having to use those pad bins in public toilets), bio-degradable and kind to the environment - a game changer! When I fir... See more

We're Fluus, the creators of the world's first fully flushable period pad. We're on a mission to stop harmful chemicals against our skin, microplastics in waterways and permanent waste caused by period products. As well as being fully flushable, Fluus is the first truly microplastic free period pad in the world (we know because we built the world's first microplastic free, high speed manufacturing line). As well as respecting our planet, this means that there's no sweaty plastic against your skin. Made from cellulose plant fibres, Fluus is hypoallergnic and has passed skin and vaginal sensitivity tests, making it perfect for even the most sensitive skin. To make Fluus both absorbent AND flushable, we created our patented technology called Flushtec®. It is a combination of materials and first-of-its-kind manufacturing process which makes Fluus pads naturally absorbent, but they only start breaking down once they're fully submerged in turbulent water. Want to know how it really works? The volume and hydraulic action of the flush tear the pad apart. It breaks down even further as it travels through the drainline. The disintegrated pad arrives at the water treatment centre, having broken down into cellulose plant fibres half the size of an eyelash. Here it can safely pass through the screens where it is treated and converted into biogas and fertiliser, creating a circular product lifecycle. Conventional pads contain 90% plastic and take over 500 years to degrade. We believe companies should take responsibility for the complete lifecycle of the products they create. Flush and forget.

Fantastic
Fantastic, I've been using Fluus for a a few months now and it's literally life changing - I even went on a trip to China and brought these over because travelling with flushable and biodegradable pads is a DREAM! These literally mean I don't have to even wash any reusable pads, I can just flush and I'm clean and good to go. In an emergency I even use the inside of the wrapper to wipe, which is actually so handy.

Quick review:
* Adhesive sticks to underwear not pad, alot of residue left on pants
* Adhesive doesn't run length of pad so pad moves
* Wings are thick and stiff so chafe
* Packet and wrappings don't rustle which is nice in public loo
* Absobency is average
* If you work hard/get a bit sweaty, pad starts to fray/pull apart
If the above were worked on, it could be a better product. The adhesive and wings need upgrading as a matter of urgency for this product to be recommended.

Good value for money
Good value for money, biodegradable and delivery is easy to postpone if needed. In the super hot summer months when I'm very, very sweaty , they slightly come apart at the seam

Game changing sanitary pads
Game changing sanitary product. Not only have I found these pads more comfortable than alternatives (natural materials, not caked with plastic) but the subtlety of them (no lurid packaging) and ability to flush makes them so much more convenient and smooth to use in public spaces and especially when travelling. Fluus makes my periods that little bit more bearable. Cannot recommend Fluus enough!

Great overall, few little tweaks needed
I've been using these for about six months. I was really happy to find an eco-friendly option for my period products because I feel like the plastic waste is something that haunts me every time I use traditional brands. I tested one in a bowl first as I didn't want to believe it until I saw it, but they do just break down like toilet paper.
I have a lot less irritation than with traditional pads too, which is great - the layer touching your skin is soft and fragrance free.
My only criticisms are that the sticky stuff does leave residue on my underwear which doesn't always come off in the first wash (though I have pants specifically for my time of the month, so doesn't bother me too much), and that they do start to disintegrate fairly quickly if I go on a walk of any substantial length (from the friction) and I have to resort to another brand. But for my usual day-to-day (sat in an office), they're comfortable and absorbent and work well for me.

The absorbency of the pad is hugely…
The absorbency of the pad is hugely impressive. It felt dry and odourless during use. Blockage did not occur to me during my use. I did a tiny tear down investigation and the envelop dissolves very quickly just like normal toilet paper. The edge of pad was slightly stiff at the beginning but soon softens with body warmth and humidity. The pad is only slightly teared apart on the edges after a full-day use in combination with cups. The remaining adhesive on the clothing is gone after normal washing with washer and dryer. Would totally recommend.

My experience with using Fluss pads for 1 year 💖
I've been using Fluus for about a year and I am very happy with the customer service, the (high) quality of the products and more importantly how I can flush the pads instead of tossing them. Real game changer - get the young tweens to use them - great for changing in public bathrooms.

Amazing
Amazing! I cannot believe that no-one told me about this! Amazing, love that they're natural with no perfumes etc and flushable. Even the packaging! Literally mind blown - why doesn't every woman have these! Also really great price, and free delivery (in cardboard too, bonus). Can't recommend enough!

100% recommend!
Easy to use! Super comfortable, and hassle free. When changing pads, there can be some 'fluff' from the material that attaches to the pants - apart from that 100% recommend!

Great concept but uncomfortable for me
I’m so sad to say this but these are so uncomfortable! I had such high hopes for these but I’ve tried them with different jeans and underwear and they’re not for me. Gutted.

The pads are not compatible with heavy bleeding. Also the size of the pads is too small for my body shape and I end up using FLUUS pads only on the lighter bleeding days.
