Trolled by The Walter Mitty Hunters Club HQ since April 2023. For those unaware of this hate page, it is run by an Anonymous admin. The benefit of being Anonymous means accusations like you are seeing do not matter if they are true or false, as no identity means no liability. Few of these trolls are ex forces and many are fake accounts. We advise researching them and not at face value. Court cases, police investigations and media outings for their wrong information. We R Blighty is a real organisation with veterans involved and supporting real veterans that can all be verified. This is a dark corner of the armed forces community and we recommend you stay as clear from these trolls as possible. Anyone not on their pay roll has the same opinion. Military and civilian!!! Be Walter Mitty Aware!!!!!

Professional scam artists
Professional scam artists, spreading their wings to place near you. I wanted to give money as I have a lot of empathy for their cause. In my interest, I questioned them. After giving them a substantial donation on Dorking high St. tactics and performance are quite amazing to get more from you. I looked at their booklet and realised they are not a charity. I reviewed our interaction and the way they were dressed and got suspicious. As I move around the South East and London quite a bit, I saw the stand again at a London tube station. This time the collectors did look mean and intimidating. The community police were to far in the distance for me to advise them. I will try harder next time. Not much in the way of response here from the company! If you get fooled, you are not alone. These people are smart . They will not stay in one place for more than a few hours so don’t expect to go back and confront them. That’s part of the plan of course . Go to legitimate charities like help the heroes.
Scam artists
Scam artists. Posing as former service personnel. Spoke to them a few times and their stories just don’t add up. Spent 25 1/2 years in the army and the nonsense that comes out of them makes it clear that either they’ve never served, or they didn’t make it past basic training.
Don’t give them a penny. The last time I spoke to them, the guy seemed distracted, agitated and paranoid. Wouldn’t be surprised if he was snorting something.
Scammers pretending to gather funds for…
Scammers pretending to gather funds for veterans. Absolutely shameful behaviour, and should be imprisoned for fraud. You can find them around London.
Absolute scam artists
Absolute scam artists. Bully techniques to extort money who think they are donating to Vets. Follow the money, after operating costs, paying questionable collectors they actually donate next to zero. They should be ripped off the streets

I gave £5 this week to a young man (one of two) which he immediately put straight into his pocket? I didn’t think much of it at the time but when I got home and started looking through the leaflet and then googled the supposed charity and realised that I had been scammed. The two men were back outside M&S the next day and I confronted them. They weren’t aggressive nor nasty but still wanted to argue the point that they are a charity. They are a con and when I posted about this on a Community Forum one lady had given them £10 via her credit card and had the audacity to give her a receipt. I will never ever give to any person touting on our streets again.
They collect money that doesn't see any…
They collect money that doesn't see any of the courses they swear they help. Pleaded guilty for various breeches.
Don't give them your money.
This is a scam
This is a scam! Please can the council / police do something about these thugs posing as a charity. This is NOT a charity and are taking money from well meaning people.
Don't believe the company write" stuff!
Don't believe the company write" stuff and I'd take any positive reviews with a pinch of salt. I have no connection to the Walter Mitty page, but had heard some worrying stories about this lot, so thought I'd ask for their side. A couple of reasonable questions later ("what percentage of income goes to veterans?" being one) and I'm blocked. Why do that? If you're genuine, why not engage?
Report to authoritys
Before you even think about giving these people money, read what they're up to. If you want to give money to veterans give it to a proper veterans charity. Not one that take all the money to cover their costs. I feel sickened to know that the head of this organisation is an expert
Aggressive collection of cash.
Aggressive collection of cash from the public. Any charity worker who needs to wear a body cam is not taking an appropriate approach to working in the community
If it was possible to leave a negative…
If it was possible to leave a negative star rating i would.
This group of theives harassed my wife and I outside the Royal Marsden. They claim to sell magazines, but had none. When you make enquires at companies house its evident little money goes to vets.
Bunch of crooks
Bunch of crooks. A simple chit chat with them will reveal none of them have served and they know nothing about the armed forces. They will quickly tell you they are a CIC if you call out their fake charity tactics. They clearly reply on people thinking they are a charity. If you question them they get your aggressive and threatening. Call the police if you see them and they will be moved along.
SCAMMERS AND FRAUDSTERS
SCAMMERS AND FRAUDSTERS
Read the multiple prosecutions against them covered in papers. PLEASE DO NOT give them money. They do NOT care about service personnel. And they are NOT a charity
A for-profit posing as a charity
A for-profit posing as a charity - usually seen in central London, but spotted today at Crystal Palace station.
Their directors were just found guilty of multiple offences in relation to their fundraising activities, and they operate without the correct licenses. Do not give these scammers money.
Not a charity do not be fooled
A veterans’ organisation accused of ‘aggressive and unprofessional’ fundraising has been convicted of illegal street collections for a second time – days before Remembrance Day.
City of London magistrates hit We R Blighty and two of its directors with fines and costs totalling £3,640 for collecting money without a licence in the Square Mile earlier this year.
At the time of the offences, founder Ben Mills and his fellow director Danielle Vidler were aware that legal proceedings had commenced for earlier offences which later came to court in June.
We Are Blighty helped when we were desperate.
I have no reason to write a biased report for We Are Blighty, other than that it was a lifeline for a close relative, and other family members who were exhausted and worried sick with trying to help him. When the local Council, Age Concern, and many other organisations, were a waste of time, We Are Blighty was wonderful, and turned his life around. Whatever is being said about Ben Mills, we know first hand that he cared, and are forever grateful. He went the extra mile to sort my relatives problems out, and we can't thank him enough for that. It is very easy to criticise, but we experienced firsthand the difference this organisation made for a veteran who no-one else would help.
SCAM - This is a CIC company NOT a charity
This is a CIC company NOT a charity. They are scammers and are only getting one star because I can't leave zero. They keep the money, it doesn't go to veterans.
The Directors have failed to file their accounts for the last four CICs they have registered on the Companies House register. They have been prosecuted for illegal activities in the City of London.
Do not donate, the money doesn't get to veterans.
A bunch of crooks and scammers…
A bunch of crooks and scammers currently outside London stations in the run up to RS. The owner employs ex-jailbirds, druggies, thieves, burglars and armed robbers. (If Benbo Baggins disputes this I WILL edit this with the links of evidence). Avoid WRB at ALL costs and give only to reputable charities, of which this lot are not. 100% scammers who will blow your money on drugs. His brother has serious convictions for drug offences.

Scammer fake charity
They are not a registered charity, they are scammers who pocket donations and do nothing to help veterans who they claim to be collecting for. They are under investigation by multiple agencies for fraud. Do NOT donate to these con men.
