Having suffered a number of leaks it was suggested by my insurers a leak detector was fitted in the home. After some research I discovered the Sonic from Watergate, technically outstanding and a beautiful design, important for me. The Sonic arrived within days and my plumber fitted within 2 hours including a whole house system check! Setting up was easy but required a few questions which were answered by return, and all up and running perfectly. We now have piece of mind if we have a leak it will automatically turn the water off. We feel safer in teh home and the insurance company extremely pleased. I Highly recommend Watergate.

I've been using a Watergate Sonic Wi-Fi device since November 2025. The device setup was easy and its local API with Home Assistant works well. Anytime I had a query, it was answered in a matter of 1-2 days by the Support. So far, I'm quite happy with it.

An easy five stars. From the start, everything was spot on. Delivery was quick, installation was very straightforward and took about ten minutes, the app works well, and the product does exactly what it promises.
I tested it twice by deliberately leaving a tap dripping, and it detected it both times. It is incredibly sensitive. With 40-year-old copper pipes in the house, the thought of a leak somewhere has always been at the back of my mind. That worry has now completely gone.
I particularly like the ability to remotely shut off the water supply if something happens while I am away. That alone gives real peace of mind.
I am not usually this impressed by gadgets, but this one genuinely does everything it is supposed to do. Highly recommended.

I installed Sonic after experiencing a hugeee leak last year. Almost immediately after installation I was surprised by the app that notified me that water was still escaping somewhere. It turned out we had a small leak one one pipe in the laundry room. I’m so relived I don’t have to deal with that kind of disaster never again.

Super sensitive and connects straight to your phone. We got a notification and a phone call when we forgot to turn the garden hose off! Brilliant product.

Sonic is much better than i expected! from the moment of installation you get full insight into the water usage in your property. how it helped me just in couple of weeks: 1. dripping garden tap 2. kids constantly using the wrong button to flush the toilet (and they are keen on saving water once you explain to them) 3. potential legionella risk (luckily not the case but required review) 4. low water pressure on the pump (water fed from own well rather than mains system). The system also stopped the water when the builders forgot to switch off the hose pipe after extended use and few hundred of litres of water was wasted. I can fully recommend the product!
