Delux is too fancy for this basic!
Now that I have seen the bus I should had taking the mega bus! Yes this is so basic, the bus is not new, the seat space is not big at all not like they claim in the website, this is just basic and for the $ been charge is not worth it.

I was sold and charged for a ticket from DC to NYC. 10 of us including a small child were waiting and no bus showed up late at night. The company they charter buses from said that they don't even send drivers out that late. I was finally able to get in touch with them and apparently it was an error, but I was also questioned in a way that made it seem as though it wasn't possible - yet I have a confirmation that I sent them and a charge on my card - along with at least 10 other people. They allowed people to buy tickets then removed it from their schedule without notification. Even worse, it was raining so there were probably be people waiting in the rain at Dupont. Since it was so late, there were no other transportation options available.

There was no communication for hours, no refund, and no compensation for lodging. I have given them multiple chances to make this right with no response, so I will be taking further action. Refunding and reimbursing me will cost them less than what they will have to deal with. This was awful timing for me and I am disabled, so it was a great hardship. To not even issue a refund is literally criminal. DO NOT book with these scammers!! They deserve to go out of business.

I have traveled all over the US and the world, with plenty of bus travel involved and I have NEVER experienced such a thing. I would've been understanding if they had made it right, but they clearly do not want to. They would rather steal from me and others.

The bus service is excellent, however there needs to be improvement with the person who boards customers on the bus, I have been using washington deluxe for the past 5 years and each time I board the bus at Union station in Washington DC the boarding agent ( a stout, bespectacled, Hispanic elderly woman) always makes life difficult and uncomfortable for me. I feel like she singles me out because I do not observe her dealing the same way with others. On Sunday April 21, the ticket was on my phone with the bar code which said " present for boarding in Washington DC", she was not satisfied with that, below that scan surface was my name and confirmation number still she did not believe that the ticket was legit, I was made to wait until the bus was full, then she decided to call"Kevin" who told her to scan the ticket,only then was I allowed on the bus, now I usually take this bus from NY to DC and back on weekends.
If I am not harrassed like this she asks for my name each time and each time it is given to her she says" your name is not on the list.
I am recommending that she be equipped with a barcode scanner that can be used to scan the tickets, wheather it is paper copy or on the smart phone.
And please educate her that it is impolite to tell a paying customer "what can you do" when it is brought to her attention that she always harasses me whenever I am boarding at Union Station in DC.

The bus left on time, which is the only positive thing I can say about my experience with the Washington Deluxe. After getting on the bus, I had to use the restroom which for whatever reason, the driver refused to open. The seats were uncomfortable, with no arm rests between seats which made for uncomfortable closeness with a stranger. Finally, we made it from DC to NYC almost an hour later than estimated. I chose this bus service specifically because the travel time was supposedly 4 h and 15 minutes. I planned my day around that and actually spend about 5 hours on the bus. I know that things happen but there were no accidents or mishaps along the way so that just doesn't make sense. Anyway, I will not be riding with Washington Deluxe again.

Great service with great staff and clean and comfortable bus.

Out of all of the bus companies, I never have an issue with Washington Deluxe. Very clean bus, and smooth ride. Also, very helpful and friendly staff!

Generally speaking, I am happy with Washington Deluxe. The buses are generally on time, the buses are new and clean, easy to make reservation online, and there is a reward system so you earn a free ride after so many rides. My two complaints are the following: (1) the price is substantial higher than other bus companies (e.g., Bolt), and (2) the bus drivers stop in Delaware. Like me, I believe most riders are anxious to get to their destinations and these stops generally add an additional 30 minutes to the ride because there is always that one rider who takes too long to return to the bus. There is a restroom on the bus and the trip is relatively short (approx. 4 hours) so there is no reasonable need to make these stops.

Weak wireless Lan. In the back washroom is smelling.

The air conditioner was freezing even when I closed the air vents. The bus took almost two hours longer than the estimated time of arrival.

Old lady working on bus was more into sleeping and talking in her cellphone than taking care of customers while the bus where waiting for passengers in NY. Because of this the departure from NY was about ten minutes delayed. And even worse, they did not let any passengers enter the bus earlier than five minutes before departure. That i cant understand because the bus had been at the place of departure for at least one hour.

Excellent customer service, punctuality and a smooth ride.

Great value, driver was excellent and very professional. Bus was clean. My only criticism is the pick up point at DuPont Circle has no shelter and it was raining heavily which was not pleasant.

On time ride, bad Wi-Fi on buses, even worse customer service

The bus was clean, the driver was nice. We stopped once at a gas station for just long enough to use the bathroom or get a snack. The odd thing was in NY the driver literally stopped in a traffic lane and unloaded us and our luggage.

You have excellent service. Driver is very good and assistant is helpful.

The bus going to NYC was in bad shape with windows screwed shut with pieces of wood and chunks of wood under the seats to level them out, and the windows were all rattling. It definitely did not look anything like the buses in the pictures on the website. The seats were very close together as well (I am 5'5" and my knees were touching the seat in front of me). The bus did leave on time though. The bus on the way back to DC was much better and was much newer and safer. The bus driver did stop about halfway for people to get out, stretch, and hit the restrooms. She said to be back before 8:45 PM since she would be pulling out at 8:45 PM and many people were not back in time, so when she tried to leave a lot of people got upset and it caused some drama. I would ride this line again, but am hoping Washington Deluxe is more consistent next time.

Wifi service does not allow to connect to streaming services. It barely works well for social media apps
