great community of like-minded people, easy to have simple and complex questions answered

The app is not responding very well. Like, sometimes I get a notification, I click on it but the app doesn't not open. Plus the private chat sometimes messes the order of messages.

I've always like WSO, it gave me invaluable information, from to the industry to style, and culture. Just life in general, I've conversed with some great (and not so great people) from here. I will always check in from time to time.

Good background information + helped me better understand and break into the finance landscape as someone with no experience. good starting point that's easy to build off of, and helps form a sense of community.

Been on here for a few years. Some forums are interesting and some are not.

I got a pretty good inside look at the world of IB and PE from this website. The community is more active than you would think despite not having the same population as larger social media. Definitely helped me get to where I am!

WSO has been a great resource for many years. I've used their resume writing and mentor services which have had a great impact to my professional career.

The site is full of extremely relevant and useful information. Sometimes, the comments can be a little offbase and sometimes borderline toxic. Reminds me of the edgier parts of Reddit. Overall, great site with great information.

Great portal not only for educational advice but also professional. WSO helped me preparing for the most challenging interviews I have conducted in my life. I am an user since 2019 and I do always recommend this site to any friend or colleague seeking advice in finance careers.

One of the go-to resources for anything IB, PE, VC, Consulting, etc.. anyone serious about breaking into these industries should be a part of the WSO community.

I have been user for a long time and I have loved the website a lot. Currently, there are some issues the platform faces
1. App is buggy, I think it'd be really cool to have a fully functional non buggy app as most of my browsing on wso is done through the app now
2. Spam and low quality content is a plague on the forum. "Prestige" and "Rankings" threads dilute the quality of the platform. There should be better moderation deployed as these kind of posts lower the quality of the website

Really great resource for all members of the finance community to share and gain knowledge. Personally, I’ve been helped by the market comp research, the insights by other WSO community members in similar industries to myself, and insights by members in industries I’m trying to learn more about/potentially break into.

I discovered WSO around 18 months ago and honestly it was game changing. I had zero contacts in high finance and so having a resources where you can ask questions about how to get from A to B was fantastic. I’ve probably listened to over 100 podcasts which is just as useful as the forum.

Hopefully in 12-18 months I’ll be able to start giving back to the community!
