Best I can say is it's a real airline that sometimes flies. Couldn't check in online unless you paid extra to select your seat (which, why on earth bother for a two hour flight). If you didn't want to pay extra, it said check in at the airport. People who checked in at the airport were then put on standby and told they probably wouldn't be flying. Flight was delayed so no gate number. Got told to stand in the (very distant) outer / all gate waiting area and wait for the gate number, then whoever got to the gate first might get to fly. But when I tried to check in on the way to the airport it was clear there were loads of seats, just that they wanted you to pay for. They hit you with stand-by JUST to scare you so next time you'll pay extra for a specific seat. I was first to the gate and am on the flight. Livid. Less than if bumped off the flight. But livid nonetheless.
Profiling Americans?
We got to the baggage check-in 2 hrs prior to departure. We were asked by a Vueling employee where we were going when we reached the front of the line. She spoke minimal English and told us to "Wait there".
She then pulled at least a couple dozen people from further back in the line and put them in front of us. When we asked why, she just ignored us.
Luckily, after 30 minutes, a check-in agent freed up in front of us and called us over when this woman wasn't looking. If not for that, six of us would have missed our flight AND our transfer on the other end.
We went from having enough time to get a quick bite to eat and being able to hit the bathroom before boarding, to barely making our flight. It didn't help that our departure gate was at the other end of the airport from the check-in.
At a minimum, we should have at least gotten an explanation. If she was doing this because other people didn't allow themselves enough time, it's not a reason to make us almost miss our flight.
Had that check-in agent in front of us not freed up when she did, we definitely would have missed our flight. This was the first and last time we will ever fly Vueling and explains a bit about why a majority of others have given Vueling the lowest possible rating.
Never ever Vueling again
i bought two direct return tickets with Vueling airlines.
The first was bought without stops from Copenhagen to Malaga from the 27th of January to the 10th of february.
Three month prior to this flight Vueling changed my flight from a 3 hours and 40 minutes direct flight down to an 8 hours and 5 minutes flight down with a stop in Barcelona.
Furthermore they changed my return ticket from a direct flight of 3 hours and 40 minutes to a flight the day before, with a stop in Barcelona and a flighttime of 5 hours and 30 minutes.
I then was offered a refund which I accepted and on the 15th of november I received an email stating, that my money would be refunded within 7 days.
Today on the 8th of may approximately 6 month later they haven´t been returned yet.
The second flight was a direct flight from Copenhagen to Bilbao.
Likewise on this flight, they wrote me a couple of month after the purchase, that they had changed my flight home from Bilbao, from a 3 hour direct flight to a 7 hours flight with a stop in Barcelona.
All I can say is, that if you have any selfrespect you avoid buying with this company.

If there was no star option I would choose it. We were 3 passangers along with 3 others that were denied to board the fligt at the gate today on the flight to Barcelona because the flight was overbooked. Then we were told that we could take the flight next day but that this flight also was overbooked and it wiuld be best to get refund and book another flight. The only explanation we got that they sold more tickets than there is seats and the chose randomly or by the price paid for tve tickets which passangers got rejected. The most shocking experience travelling by plane. At the airport Office we learned that these things happen daily. This should be forbidden for companies to do.
You can not be sure that you will bord the plane if you travel with Vueling!!!!
Lost bagage and NO answer from Vueling

On a basic PMI-CDG flight with transit at BCN, Vueling lost my suitcase. When I arrived at CDG, I opened a PIR claim for lost baggage. After 3 days, the tracking number was stopped and since then I've been unable to track my suitcase, which of course has NEVER been delivered.
I've tried to contact Vueling by every possible means: their website, customer service by phone, social networks: no response!!!! They are completely unprofessional, have no idea where they put my suitcase and don't want to compensate me for it! WORSE: they turn a deaf ear and don't answer. NEVER take vueling if you want to keep your luggage. It's the worst of all.

Sur un vol PMI-CDG avec transit à BCN, Vueling a perdu ma valise. A mon arrivée à CDG, j'ai ouvert une réclamation PIR pour perte de bagage. Au bout de 3 jours, le numéro de suivi a été supprimé et depuis, je n'arrive plus à suivre ma valise qui, bien sûr, n'a JAMAIS été livrée.
J'ai essayé de contacter Vueling par tous les moyens possibles : site internet, service client par téléphone, réseaux sociaux : aucune réponse !!!! Ils ne sont absolument pas professionnels, n'ont aucune idée de l'endroit où ils ont mis ma valise et ne veulent pas me dédommager ! PIRE : ils font la sourde oreille et ne répondent pas. Ne prenez JAMAIS Vueling si vous voulez garder vos bagages. C'est une compagnie malhonnête et au service client inexistant.

Bought two tickets & paid for 2 reserved seats together for myself as I wanted to have a comfortable flight. When I arrived at the airport I was given one seat in one row and the other in a different row. When I explained to the staff that the whole point of buying two seats is to have them together. I was told by the staff that I should request a refund for the unused seat. After months of correspondence with customer service, my request was rejected on the basis that both boarding cards were used. I challenged the decision but Vueling refused to review their decision. Doesn’t speak well for their refund policies or their customer service
choose a more expensive airline as this will definitely be the most economical decision!
They changed the flight and claimed to have sent an email however they have sent it to a self-made fake email address that I in no way have access to, booked from or received booking confirmation from in the first place.. they earn their money by selling cheap flights which they cancel to then offer worse flights either on time or/and money. My advice; choose a more expensive airline as this will definitely be the most economical decision!

Customer service is the worst of any airline agency. They made changing the hand-carry luggage a pain to change. Good luck calling them, because they made it impossible for you to contact an agent. Instead, you get an automated message with every option that refers to the website. And guess what? The website refers to the phone number—a complete circle of idiocracy.

booked a package holiday and the flights were with vueling! arrived with my boarding passes with seat numbers to be told the flight had been cancelled! Staff could barely be bothered to help, had no email or message to inform me of this,was advised best to book own flights and a taxi to the hotel and now £640 out of pocket! There is no way of talking to a human, for 2 weeks the robot would not except my booking number, now it has I have heard nothing from them! I just want to speak with someone! Also on flight home, was delayed, with no information and then no food or drink on the flight! Just an appalling company to deal with, and reading the reviews there are many other people having problems! they clearly don't care ! so avoid !

I was very nervous to fly with vueling after seeing the reviews! But that was one of the best flights I've been on! The staff were lovely & the check in & boarding was so fast! We had a very small delay which was due to weather which is no ones fault! I saw other peoples flights had been delayed over an hour and ours 15 mins! I've already booked my next holiday using them! Brilliant company and they do not deserve all the bad comments

It was impossible to contact Vueling customer service, and they gave me credit for a changed flight I did not want. Now I need help returning my money, which is impossible, and will not fly with Vueling again.
Vueling is a mess
Hi Vueling, you are really difficult to contact. After ordering and paying for extra 2 x 15 kg cabin luggage me and my co-passenger got the boarding passes. Only problem was that the cabin luggage had disappeared together with the approximately 170 € I paid for going to Paris Orly and back. I then tried to contact Vueling by phone to make them correct the mistake. Unfortunately, this was impossible. I gave it an extra chance on the Homepage and tried to correct the boarding passes. I succeeded in paying an extra 60 euros and now I got an extra piece of cabin luggage on the boarding cards. Now only 10 kg.
In the end I am afraid you (Vueling) succeeded in robbing me of 180 €. This is crazy. My last hope is that it is a mistake, and they will contact me and pay back my money. I will also try to contact the personnel in the airport and see if they can do something about this

Completely impossible to get in personal contact with an operator. I had to cancel my booking, but I have not received my flight credits and I can't acces my booking via their webpage.
I have spent hours and days trying to get in contact with them. If you do not mind loosing you money then I can recommend Vueling. If not, do never book with Vueling. Ever!

This is the worst plane ticket agent I have ever used! There is absolutely no customer service, there is no email to write to or no phone number to call. When you access their support site you are guided round in circles.
But the worst part is that when you buy a plane ticket it said it was included hand baggage - good I am only travelling for three days with my daughter to Barcelona. And the price of the ticket was even 20 % lower than the average ticket price for this destination. Hurray. I was happy.
But when I got the ticket, I was informed that the hand baggage size must be smaller than 40x30x20 - not even my small backpack can fit in that size. And if you show up with a bigger bag, the price will be 59€ per person per trip, increasing the ticket price with 25%!
Well, now I had bought the ticket, then I had to buy extra baggage. Going to Vueling's website I was offered an extra cabin baggage of size 55x40x20 for 7€. I bougth that and was charged 37€! I do not understand that???
When I then got the confirmation, this extra bag was only for the return trip??? Then I seriously do not understand the price? How do 7 become 37???
Finally I checked trustpilot and found a phone number for Tripmonster. I called and the young lady answered me and told me to come back in two minutes. After 5 minutes, the connection was terminated!
Calling Vueling ended up in an endless circles of menues to choose from. No results.
Finally, never ever use Tripmonster or Vueling. It is waste of time and money.
