Kidde smoke alarm made 5 yrs ago supplied
Ordered a Kidde smoke alarm and the one that arrived was made in 2021 (this was in Jan 2026). So its expiration date was 2032. That’s 6 years when you want 10 years from your purchase.
Their returns team were super helpful and the return postage was free. But I just wanted a smoke alarm and now I have to go and buy one from somewhere else and …. Remember to check I got my refund.

While our website references the manufacturer’s 5 year warranty and does not state that the alarm will have a full 10 year lifespan from the date of purchase, we appreciate that this was not what you had expected and are sorry for the inconvenience this caused.
We are pleased that our returns team were able to assist you promptly and arrange a free return. We would like to clarify that the returned item has not yet reached us, as returns can take up to 7 working days to arrive. As soon as the item is received back into our warehouse, your refund will be processed without delay.
