Vodafone Portugal texted their customers, including me, explaining there would be no extra data charges after the storms effecting Leiria knocked out the internet. However when my bill finally arrived... See more

Went into Vodafone location at Lisbon airport to inquire re packages. The employee removed our SIM card to check it. Unbeknownst to us, he did not replace it. That same evening, we get a notification that our SIM card is roaming in the USA. Clearly stolen and sold! Vodafone absolving themselves by simply stating - impossible and then passed the buck.
Terrible service. I ordered 2 x15 day unlimited data cards, all went well, they gave me a date when they would be delivered by ViaDirecta 17/05/2022, between 9hr and 1.30hr, never turned up, got a text message to say they could not deliver but would deliver on the 21/05/2022, still waiting, got in touch with their customer service, I would have been better off talking to Sonic the hedgehog in Japanese, absolutely useless, people tell me Portugal is still a third world country, I am beginning to wonder, they work like one!
terrible customer service and no support. They speak English perfectly when they sell you the service, but when you need help, it's impossible. They have no English speaking support via chat and no phone number to call for English support. The only way to get it is to work your way through the Portuguese only menu and hope for the best. This is just inexcusable.
I am so upset with Vodafone. They keep overcharging me, contrary to my contract. They keep charging me extra fees and penalties. New cards not being delivered after payment. And recently they even stopped registering my payments made through the app.
English support does not exist. Neither by phone, nor my WhatsApp, nor by email.
This Portuguese branch is the worst telecom in Europe. The worst customer service I have ever seen in my life. I literally have nowhere to turn, so posting these reviews is the only thing I can do. I live far from the cities and it costs me a lot to take a day from work, spend gas and hours driving to a nearest office and back.
Vodafone tries to make it impossible for customers to make any modification to their contract, like cancelling add ons that they said would be easy to cancel whenever the customer wanted.
It should be posible to do it in the tv box, where you take control of the whole tv service you are paying. There you can subscribe new tv channels but apparently you cannot unsubscribe them.
They make it by making it impossible to contact them, not having any available support email, and diverging calls to automatic assistants, like bots. if you go further and really want to speak to a Human Assistant, to ask for the cancellation, they charge you an extra and tell you that you will have to wait at least 5 minutes or more.
FInally, you keep waiting until way more than 5 minutes, always being charged extra during this time, and in the end, they wont answer you.
What do they pretend with this kind customer service?
To keep costumers against their will? That's the main question.
They leave us no alternative than coming to this kind of platform and complaining.
Monday was the hack......now Thursday.......mobile date still only very bad 3G......since today SMS started to work.......and that's awful because SMS is used for authentication
Where am I paying for?
The rates and speeds they promote are not only misleading but apparently lies. Extreme malpractice for such a large company which has very little to do other than provide a connection for an agreed price.
Given how crap the rating already is I won’t add much value anyway. The website to top up your phone or a box is beyond crap. I got debited but no top up. Discussing with the team in store they (of course) can’t find any payment.
Awful.
No customer service even by the local, well, standards...
I have never encountered such a useless website. I am trying to see my payment history and neither the navigation bar nor the search box allow me to do so. This is the most useless, user-disrespectful company I've yet dealt with in Portugal. Absolutely a nightmare!
So I'm not someone to write bad reviews online, but this is just ridiculous. We signed a new contract with Vodafone almost 2 weeks ago for internet at home. We had to change the address and that means we also had to sign a new contract. The technician would call us within 2 days. Of course they never called.
We have been spamming customer service with this. We both work from home and are moving this week. Still without any functioning internet. Customer support doesn't know what's going on and keeps assuring us that it's a 'priority situation' for them. Still no feedback or call from the technician.
Since we are running out of time, decided to cancel the contract. The store claimed this is not possible unless we pay the amount of the entire contract of 1 year. We have used 0MB, since we don't have any connection at home. Also still within 2 weeks after signing a new contract.
In short: eager to sell you a contract, make promises they can't keep, lie to you, take your money, don't deliver any service. I'm a afraid I will have to contact my lawyer....
I so far have been without internet,TV and landline since Monday(almost 2 days) and still have not had an estimate as to when service will be resumed.
I do have the option of speaking to an operative, which I am told will cost me.
It seems to me that either little has been invested in diagnostics, or that their engineers are not up to the task!
I find this totally unacceptable and will be switching to another supplier as soon as I can.
Watch out when taking a contract with Vodafone, devious practices mean had I known, I would have likely chosen a different provider.
If you exceed the contract data limit, they continue to provide data but at a cost of €3 per 200mb which with modern 4/5G connections means that a very large bill can quickly be incurred. Furthermore, there is no way to prevent this, as with other carriers, by for example capping the data or significantly reducing the speed.
Vodafone Portugal is the worst service I have ever come across and they steal money from you too by double charging you and never returning it to you hoping you will forget about your money. I have never dealt with worse service than they give or rather in this case don't give. I will take my money somewhere else next time, somewhere I will get what I pay for and don't get robbed on top of that. Never will recommend them to anyone
I would give no star if I could. I won't go into the litany of errors, the incompetence or disinterest of the customer care staff. After a month of fighting to get the service I was due, they finally got their act together...and I wasn't even sent an apology. I moved to Vodafone after 12 years with MEO. Meo was never as bad as Vodafone. I'll be going back to MEO after my 24 months
I have lived in Portugal for almost 5 year's...Vodafone has been my go to for mobile service...My first home service was with NOS, and should really be changed to I, the company...2 year contract and crap service...Then I went all the way...Best Fiber Service Vodafone has...One thing is very clear, you don't get what you pay for in terms of Internet Speed and Customer Service...Tech Service Is Outsourced and there is not a sense of urgency or respect to the customer who is paying a lot for substandard service...It's not hard to tell in this ever increasing fickle world we live in, that Companies do not care about quality, they care about profits at the expense of there Employees and Customers...But Hey what do you expect for a €143 Euro's a month...
The worst network i have chose and regret of choosing it. Blocked my incoming msgs for 8 days and still going on, rather than solving asked me to pay if i cancel the contract. What a fraud thing a customer care tells to a client, plz use other networks rather than this
I have Vodafone Portugal for my residential services. They lied on calls, mis sold the service, took about 3 months to get the issue fixed and refunded. This only happened when i sent a GDPR complaint about Vodafone reps lying about a service for us to buy it.
Separately , 1 week ago i ordered commercial services for my company, for over 5 days they have been sending the contract to the wrong email address with all my companies details and personal information! it took 30 calls to get them to check and finally notice, then they sent the contract still with the wrong details to the right address.. !!!
I added mobile to my Wi-Fi contract and bought an E sim .I followed Vodafone information scanned information and every requested step shows on my phone. And then the nightmare begins after 2 visits to the Vodafone store and 3 calls -all in all 5 hours of trying to explain and they try to “ help” I now pay for an service I do not have . As it is Impossible to remove the mobile part added later never used. It was suggested that I should buy a second phone. I have never experienced service like this. Some suggestions where simply laughable .
We was told we would have the internet and the tv all completed this Friday th. 18 of June. We have the workers from Vodafone out, and because of bad weather they suddenly decided not to do their job, and told us they would do it next Wednesday. Then we was promised to get a internet box at the Vodafone store in Porto, so we could get internet for the weekend. We arrived at the store, and now they don’t have it for us. Costumer service is suddenly not a part of this company. Not be working because of a little rain?? Come on.
