Vocalfy has great vocals that are unique, which never flag and their customer service is second to none when there is a rare issue with a download. They are also very personable. If you can afford the Exclusive I highly recommend you go that route, but the rest of the vocals are taken down after a short run. I've yet to hire a vocalist but that would be a good call for professional work and is a great option to have available

I have over 300 stories in there. I thought the platform was so so. Some really peculiar things won the challenges. The challenges were increasingly silly. So I cancelled Vocal + and it was acknowledged that I had done so. Cue the bombardment of my inbox asking me to sign up again. BUT they actually never stopped taking my money!!! I sent an enquiry about this and they had confirmed I cancelled in June 2022. They tried to suggest it must be someone else(?!) and could I provide proof? . I could and I did and at that point I was ghosted. I continue to pursue this matter. But as others have said take care, they steal your money and payouts are poor.

Vocal Media is a scam. They suspended my account with a $150 balance after a year of work and have ghosted my emails for 2 months with no explanation.

Do not waste your time here—they wait until you earn money, then block you and refuse to respond to support requests.

Wrote an article, submitted, it was rejected - no support, no explanation, waste of time. Got a link Update Article which goes nowhere - article vanished. Do not recommend.

Just censorship, it's better to avoid this website.

Do NOT subscribe to this site! I subscribed a year ago didn't realize it would automatically renew and when I saw the charge pending on my bank, I immediately cancelled my subscription and asked for a refund, only to be told by Vocal they would not do so. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE - DO NOT SIGN UP!!

If only i could put 0 stars for vocal,i would do so. I've been working on that godforsaken site for months,and i've earned up to $78 through my stories on vocal,but when it was time to withdraw my earnings,they blocked me from the site and deleted my account. I've sent messages to the support team but they gave no reply. Bunch of scammers

Bad User experiencing, they team is not visibility for Users not replaying an email or any contact form, so please Don't wast time on this platform , Another is the payment Method is Stripe and stripe is not available most countries.

I have spent almost 8 years on this website and it has done me nothing but wonders. Great site, great for my book reviews and has done me well in terms of making some great connections with others. Love it here, never leaving if I can help it x

Vocal did not send any prior notification of automatic renewal. An inoperable phone number was published on the credit card website where the charge was listed so live merchant contact was unavailable. The pending charge went through without verification from me.

Wrote a political analysis of Alan Litchmanns 13 Keys and why I think it failed in 2024. Flagged as AI—probably by AI—unless it was because someone didn’t like the content.

Beware! I am always quite diligent and cancel apps before the trial ends and I am pretty sure I did this for this app but I kept getting changed. I also couldn't see it in my Google subscription list so it was not visible I was a member what a scam

I would give 0 stars if I could. I decided to move my poetry from other platforms and add it to vocal. Not only did it flag as AI but also plagiarised. They accused me of plagiarising myself. Then flagged it as AI when most was published in books long before AI came out. The customer support is awful.

I like to write using Victorian English, which they almost always flag as Ai. This is so insulting and frustrating. I sent them a ridiculous amount of messages and they never responded. I resubmitted my story over and over and they just kept flagging it as Ai.

I will never use this site again.

Cancelled my account and was still charged. Never got paid. If you are a serious writer, find somewhere else to get your work out - this is bad business.

I signed up for annual membership of $99. You have the option of either annual $99 or monthly membership of $9.99. This company has consistently charged me both the annual fee and the monthly fee for past six months. I have sent numerous emails and gotten no response. Do not sign up you will be stolen from. There is no way to contact them except by email which there only response is a boilerplate message of no refunds for membership.

I signed on in 2021 to enter a writing competition and deleted my account shortly after. Last week I was billed by Vocal for AU$149 which is astronomical, which means I was probably billed for the annual fee last year and missed it. When I contacted them to ask for a refund and explain that I had deleted my account a long time ago, they replied that as per the terms and conditions they didn't have to refund me.
How can anyone trust them?

Ver bad experience they did not count how many readings I got but for sure there were enough with enough engagement. They did not approve my drawings also if I did not use Ai. Now there are topics still submitting without approving. My experience so negative you avoid. Because you do not earn but if you want just to sponsor something also is bad. Because on google they do not have traffic. Very very bad

It’s a scam.

The profiles that win (and come runner up) in competitions and top stories are all employees of Vocal.

Spend long enough on the site each day and you will see the patterns, the same profiles on all day every day commenting on other stories (and on their weekly leaderboard) and how the entire site is just Vocal paying itself to entice more people to join.

It’s also filled with AI content.

I don’t believe I’ve connected with a single genuine person on it. Obviously there is likely to be some real person hiding behind these profiles, but the fakery of the entire site is just sickening.

Honestly so disappointed to realise this after wasting so much time on the site.

You will NEVER win a competition. You may occasionally gain a top story for $5 if you write enough and interact enough with their fake accounts enough. It won’t outweigh what you paid to join.

Don’t give energy to this.

Find something real.

It's awful. In 5 years I've made a total of $4. Unless you have loads of money to pay for a subscription, they don't care. I have stories with likes, and yet somehow now views? Just so they don't have to add the tiny few cents to the total. When there is an issue, their customer service NEVER gets back to you either. Complete waste of time.
