Irresponsible business
Had a very good first impression of this business during the sale of our laminate floor, and unfortunately the good experience went quickly downhill.
We drove hours to their store as they had beautiful options of floors while offering “free” service to laying the floor - sounded awesome and I saw previous positive reviews here - short lived contentment.
1st - they sent a person who did not speak any Dutch or English (only Turkish), so communication was very poor but not only, his job was just amateur, which resulted in:
* I gave instructions of an area that I did not want the plint as we will have built-in furniture in the area —> he added the plint there anyways.
* Our laundry room has tubes in a wall, instead of cutting the laminate as per need, he simply ignored the area and did not put laminate at all there! What a dirty job. (See picture)
* Plint under our balcony door was cut in bigger size than needed, now the plint is “expelling itself” from the area (see picture).
* Plints were not cut/placed correctly in the corners, some corners was placed correctly than the opposite corner in the same wall was made very poorly.
2nd - we communicated with Vloer XXL through emails/shared pictures and asked for correction at least of the two main issues (the ones in the pictures), lots of back and forth emails and no solution given! Funny enough, they said the area with the tubes cannot have a laminate floor because of the tubes —> 1st we had laminate there before! 2nd my partner with no experience at all, was able to correct their mistake and nicely placed the laminate there!
3rd - we were recommended to buy 4 packages more of laminate floors “just in case it’s needed” and we could return if not used. The 4 packages were then not used and returned 3 weeks ago and yet the cash return was not made! Despite all the daily emails asking for action/response, they went completely silent!
What a shame.
