I've only talked to VIVINT about products via the telephone.
I've only talked to VIVINT about an estimate via telephone (have the number I used if you are interested in it) and was told:
1. Estimates are given over the phone - no written bids.
2. There are no contracts, you can quit at any time.
3. If you want you can pay for equipment up front and then pay only monthly monitoring fee, otherwise equipment costs are billed on top of the monthly monitoring fee.
4. Consumer Reports has nothing on them as far as I could find.
I hated the service and cancelled my service but Vivint refuses to stop billing me.
I hated the service and cancelled my account. I paid off the contract in July 2022. To this day I am still being billed for service because the company doesn't want to close the account. I have called Vivint multiple times to explain that my account is paid off, but nothing changes. I have sent copies of proof of payment to 2 bill collectors. My next step is small claims court.

I called Vivint on Jan 3rd. They came to install the unit on the 6th. Very professional and clean reps! Everything World as expected! Good job Vivint!
