Cameras are better than Ring but not as advertised by the door to door sales guys. I was not able to see my license plate as clearly as they shoeed on their demo video even though it is less than 20 feet from my doorbell. I have the 2nd highest internet speed and my ring cam can see it more clearly. Maybe theyre great on fiber but not on cable. Sales guy left out very important info and attempted to lock us in for 5 years on paying for the equipment alone. After going back and reading more thoroughly it was noted that we only had 3 business days from the date of signing the contract to cancel NOT 30 days like he claimed. I do love the amount if area the cams capture as well as the night vision being awesome vs Ring but its not budget friendly at all. The customer service folks will do their best to keep you but for $108 a month its not feasible. My wifi bands are also not split and im not sure if that was the issue but 1 at a time the cams or doorbell would loose wifi signal and not capture anything. If I were to continue service that's not very "safe" because it would miss possible important footage. The indoor cam was great with night vision as well but not being able to move left and right made it a bit complicated to find the best placement for the space it was used for. My biggest gripe was the sales guy & his baiting tactics.

We had a very positive experience with Vivint recently after moving into a new (to us) home. Everyone I have spoken to has been very professional especially Danny who installed our security system. He was very knowledgeable and friendly and helped us to choose which options worked best for us. He finished his work in a very timely manner, cleaned up after himself, and then very patiently explained how it all worked to me and my husband. We are in our 60s and somewhat technologically challenged!! The system is very simple to use and we are very happy we chose Vivint. I would highly recommend.

Good luck trying to cancel
Service is fine, no complaints for years. I needed to cut service due to financial cutbacks, they would not allow me to cancel. No way to do it on the app. I call and get asked 15 questions as to why and trying to convince me otherwise. I get escalated to manager who again tries to convince me otherwise. Then I have to give 30 days notice of cancelation. I understand wanting to try and keep customers but there is a point where you just need to say ok and cancel the account. I didn't have anything negative to say about them until this and now I am writing this review because of the terrible experience at the end. Way to go Vivint, now I will not recommend you to anyway nor will I ever return to you!

I had a scheduled appointment yesterday, June 25, 2026, between the hours of 4:00-8:00 PM for a technician to fix the problem I was having with my garage door opener and garage sensors. The technician arrived at my home at 2:00 PM and left at 2:18 PM. He arrived a couple of hours before my scheduled time and left without completing the repairs.
I am disappointed that the technician arrived well outside of my scheduled appointment window without prior notice or confirmation that I was available. I specifically scheduled the appointment for the 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM timeframe, and I expected the service to be performed during those hours.

Sweet and sour review.. I absolutely love everything about the equipment BUT the salesman said so many half truths and kept so much info that I’ve been finding out myself. I wouldnt have switched from ADT if I knew. He was swift, fast, sweet talked sign here, lets check tis out; blink of an eye and boom I was on Vivint. Should have picked that up whe he redirected my questions. If you ask how much and the answer is “a million dollars” with a smile, dont do it. Dont know what happened to me that day, I got played so hard I dont talk or think about it. It was on me.. But the equipment and set ip its great, that at least. If you have ADT, just upgrade but dont switch over, it will cost $$$ again and you cant get out or go back because it will cost you even more $$$. Only path is forward now, with deep regrets of owning a great system.

You waiting until I got my equipment installed then decided to call me and tell me that I’m responsible for all repairs. I don’t understand that if the equipment is not finished pay being paid for that should be upfront. That’s poor advertisement. My representative told me I will get it for two months free but turn around and say one month OK I can go with that but still stop playing on people intelligence.
