As someone who works in UX/Service Design, this was without a doubt the worst onboarding process I have ever experienced.
What should have been a straightforward account opening for a single-person German UG (clean record, completely legitimate) turned into a month-long nightmare:
Salami tactics: Instead of requesting all required information upfront, they sent endless follow-up emails asking for "one more thing" after every reply—and even requested the same info twice.
Extreme delays: Every submission was followed by days of silence. Meanwhile, my business was completely blocked from paying urgent invoices.
Zero transparency: After a month of frustration, they simply closed my account application via a generic email with zero explanation.
If you run a real business and need a reliable banking partner, stay far away from this online bank. Unorganized, unresponsive, and completely disrespectful toward business clients.
