Took forever to get the results.So disappointed in the results.They tell you nothing of any benefit to you or anything you can understand.The diet made for you is just a low fat diet, its the same for everyone nothing is customized my husbands diet was exactly the same.Terrific waste of time and money.I would not recommend this to anyone,I would only tell them to keep their money and skip this program.

they charged me on 12/2 but have not sent vitamins. Ive emailed them 3 times and have not received a response. When I cancelled my credit card they were quick to email me for a new payment method. Once I gave them the new card number, they vanished. They dont respond! Getting ready to do a chargeback on my card. Scam artists!

Don't waste your money! This test covid kit is a waste of money. This company has No customer service if there is a problem. After my husband took the at home saliva test as directed by the kit, we had NO shipping label. No one answered at the customer service until until almost 2 weeks later, when the test was void. I want my money back and was told NO. We have reported this company to the attorney generals' office. Stay away for this company.

All I want is an address to send the test kit, which I have completed and is sitting here all day. It was suppose to come with a shipping label, it is not there. I just want to know where to ship it. This is time sensitive, it's a covid-19 saliva test. No response to email, CS, on-line chat, phone number, etc. This is a horrible way to run a business. The procedure was on line, step by step. All they had to do was say if you don't have a label: Mail it to: XXXX how hard is that? I'm willing to pay the extra shipping. What a waste $117 down the drain and I don't know if I'm positive.

The concept is amazing but the execution and subsequent customer service experience is awful.
There is no specificity to the results you're given, all very general and down right vague.
I got the sense that this is a very ineffective "psychic reader" type scam. You know when you walk in and they tell you "I'm seeing/sensing ..." and you get so excited you give up information by telling them something like "That's got to be my uncle Pete he was a pilot with the navy!" . The more info you give up the less vague the reading can become.
The results basically mimic something along those lines. The execution though sucks bc is all online so they're unable to get your non verbal cues a psychic reader would in the moment. This is lamented in the fact that no results are provided until after you complete their questionnaire on the website. And what do you know all your results vaguely lean in the same direction as what you told them! Amazing 👏🙀!
That is of course if you're even able to send your kit back. They don't even provide a good return mailer. Turns out they're trying to take advantage of an over saturated postal system so they've stopped providing first class postage paid return envelopes and instead put a $1.00 prepaid stamp on the mailer instead. The mailer came back to me twice for insufficient postage. I had to go down to the post office to figure out why they wouldn't take the envelope and then use my own money to buy postage with a tracking label at over $3.50 for something that was marketed as being included.
When you express to customer service your unhappiness of the vague generalized results they ignore you. You have to specifically state "I want a refund" to get a response from them.
A guy, who's name rhymes with 'mate' and starts with an 'N' will call you during normal working hours and leave a 2+ minute insulting and condescending voicemail for you which is followed up by an equally condescending email. He'll claim to call you several times but make no mistake the spread of the calls are less than 10 minutes apart from one another.
Apparently he has no supervisors or managers so don't even ask! He'll pat himself on the back and claim to be "the lead" and no one is better suited to help you than he is. Yet he still had to get approval to provide for a refund from 'someone'. This guy has no knowledge either professionally or educationally in the science field either! If you look him up using a Google search you'll find it that he has only been with the company for 4 years in the customer service dept. Prior to that he was a bar tender with an apparently extensive education in beer. No, I'm not kidding! I have more scientific education with having taken a basic college level biology and chemistry course. Did I mention too I have 11+ years in the scientific work force community?
The whole experience from to top bottom is a joke! They'd do well to get their customer service agents some kind of an emotional intelligence class to learn how to communicate with people!

I have been waiting over 6 weeks for my results. It has been impossible to get the support desk to respond to my inquiries. I have used their products in the past but will never purchase from them again as their customer service is non-existent. Very disappointed.
What a BS report
What a BS report! I have 3 other genetic reports which agree on Ancestry! This report says I am 25% Iberian! Other reports say I am 98% +! And I am a Biochemist!
The fact you only released the report AFTER the profile (with key information) was completed says it all!

Don’t waste your money
Don’t waste your money. I just received my “report” which was vague at best (and flat out wrong in some instances). The diet section basically just tells you that you may have certain things (lactose intolerance) based on your genetics. Then it gives you a list of genes with zero explanation. Totally pointless.
I thought the exercise section would give me some advice ln what types of activities would be best for me. Instead, it took the activities I said I enjoyed and came up with a “plan” for me (which is what I already do).
I did a food allergy test a few years ago and it was very specific. I thought this was going to be similar, but it literally told me nothing I don’t already know. Thanks to other reviews, I will not be purchasing any supplements from this company, it sounds like that is a total nightmare.
Save your money (or buy a more reputable ancestry kit if interested in that).

I am one more person totally disappointed with this test.
I agree with mostly all of the people placing a review: vague and inaccurate ancestry trace, wrong advice regarding nutrition, and just a way to sell expensive vitamins

I am extremely disappointed in the report. It was very vague and did not give me specific ways to help my diet and health. The report could have been given to anyone. I was expecting much more for what I paid for. It is just a way for them to sell their vitamins.
A Way to Sell Vitamins & Limited Value
The best thing about VItagene is that you can see which genes influence the recommendations around supplements and diet; however, everything else is very general and I left feeling like they just want to get me on the hook to buy low quality vitamins that have a lot of fillers. If you did all recommendations, it is $43/month.
Also, they are NOT transparent about how they handle your data and how to revoke permissions to use it. My recommendation: protect your identity and provide a pseudonym.

I cannot add my test ...it says 'incorrect kid ID' and 'valid Kit ID at the same time.
I cannot sign in
Support is not reachable via inbox mail ... no support email address ... no support call line.
I tried 10 times to create an account and activate the kid ID. I does not work... and I am familiar with IT challenges.

Don't do it! I ordered saliva kit for Corona virus from them because I heard the saliva kit was more accurate. Ordered my kit and received it. The instructions were good and it was easy. Sent it off and waited 3 days and got my results as inconclusive. We recommend you get tested again. There could be many reasons for this. A faulty kit or user error. All you do is spit into a tube. It isn't hard so my guess it was a faulty kit. I wrote an email to them and got the same canned response as in the original email. They never even offered to send me another kit. So I went and got tested and I did have it, but wasted a little over a week dealing with this poor excuse for a company. If you just want to lighten your wallet $120 then by all means order from them.

It gives me some guidance of knowing what helps me and what doesn’t benefit my mind and body. Now I’m going to start on working on eliminating the food did not help my body. This is a great start in the right guidance. I had not used the counselor’s help yet. Will get to that soon. Hope they will provide me one. 🤞 if I’m satisfied with the service that satisfies my needs. Then they will earn the fifth star.
