I went yesterday with coupon in hand. One guy I've seen regularly started the process and then I feel scammed. The second guy fast talked me. He went over gas treatment prices, mentioning 3 different... See more

Valvoline on Robert St in St Paul
Valvoline on Robert St in St. Paul, MN is one of the better experiences I have ever had. They were prompt, completely customer focused and even told me what things I did not need to purchase.
Valvoline instant oil change Urbana
Valvoline instant oil change Urbana, Ohio. I normally don’t do much complaining… but… my last oil change was followed by dash lights coming on within a few days. A few more days and I began hearing a noise that I knew wasn’t ok. I got it to Marysville to check out what was going on, still not thinking anything about the oil change. After lining up rides to drop it off and pick it up, it was brought to my attention that an oil change facility wasn’t able to change oil properly.
After some time on the phone and starting a claim , I was informed that they would need me to bring in an invoice. I stopped at the location and emailed it to the manager. You can’t call the location directly and this was the fastest way to get the email address.
Store manager said I would be taken care of and thee payment could be sentdigitally or mailed. Digital was faster, that’s what I chose. From Thursday until last Wednesday, I get no communication about receiving digital payment. I call(customer care because again, no direct accountability by location manager). They then inform me that they had sent a paper check out last Monday.. I decided that I would just wait for the check since it has already been sent out. Now we are a full week after the check has been “sent “ and still nothing.
All I asked for originally was to pay the bill to the qualified shop that did their work correctly and that I would need to have another oil change after 500 miles to get the rest of the metal out of the system. Now they can’t manage issuing payment and now I’m being told that their mail takes 7-10 business days. I didn’t know that Mail worked differently for Valvoline than it does for the rest of the United States.
They have agreed to pay the bill due and the oil change to finish flushing metal out of system. All I asked was for this to be done and then an oil change after this has been taken care of to make up for my wasted time and gas for taking vehicle elsewhere and getting rides and the inconvenience of getting the run around with getting the money.
Still willing to offer the benefit of the doubt and remain a customer that has taken multiple vehicles to this location over multiple years.
And then the manager, says no he is not willing to give me an oil change because he’s already doing one,Knowing that the oil change being done is to finish taking care of the issue they created.(removing metal)
so, to you Valvoline instant oil change in Urbana, Ohio, not only is your work unsatisfactory, your customer service is abysmal and management is sickening. Let’s just say zero stars out of 10.
PS, you can’t do a review on their Facebook page and I think I know why. I will go to the website and do one there but just wanted to make sure I could get one on here as well.
Idk who is running the valvoline oil…
Idk who is running the valvoline oil change on rodeo gulch in capitola-
Their excellent !!! Great fast service-
Their bringing it!!!
TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!!
I visited Take 5 this morning and they were very busy so I called Valvoline and spoke with a customer service rep who quoted me a price of $99 after factoring in a $25 coupon she texted to me. She indicated that I could go to a the location at Johnson Ferry and Roswell Rd because they had my filter. Upon arriving they indicated that they did not have the filter but I could go and buy the filter and they would reimburse me. I did that and then returned to have my oil changed. Upon checking out they indicated the bill was $115 after reimbursing me for the filter. When I explained that I was quoted $99 for my car including a filter without me having to take the time to buy it, they said there was nothing they could do. I was obviously very frustrated and expressed to them that this would be the last time I would come in for my oil change. They have signs indicating they value giving excellent customer service but my person al experience was TERRIBLE!!! Heads up.
Overpriced and Incompetent
Their 20 minute oil change took an hour to complete. The cost of the service was higher than even the local dealerships. What's worse is they tested my truck's battery while the truck was running, and told me that is was in great shape. It takes average intelligence to know that car batteries should be tested when the engine is off, ideally when the vehicle hasn't been run for at least an hour. Not only will I not go back, I will go out of my way to discourage patronizing Valvoline. Find a reputable shop instead.
Damaged my car and are now refusing to reimburse costs. AVOID
Staff at the Lighthouse FL location caused damage to my car which created an oil leak. They told us to hire a rental car whilst they fixed it, promising to reimburse costs and are now completely ignoring us and refusing to honor that promise. Am currently in a dispute with them involving my bank and the BBB. Avoid at all costs.
Prince Frederick Maryland location is…
Prince Frederick Maryland location is charging 9.99 to check your tire pressure in between oil changes! Valvoline is supposed to check your tire pressure for free between oil changes. Manager says they have to reserve that for paying customers! My oil change wasn't free, I was a paying customer and they do not honor this free check at the Prince Frederick location.
We trusted our Business to them and Valvoline Advantage completely let us down
We have several One ton Ram trucks and were sold on the Fleet Advantage service by the Corporate office. We went three times for service at this location. Manager was very helpful. Had one incident where they didn't change the Fuel and Water filter but took it back to be completed. Was a bit of a hassle. My driver comes in off the road and we have to arrange him to come to Dallas for this service. Well we took it in to this location today and after getting the oil changed, they tell us that they can't complete the service, for us to take it to another location. They had 4 mechanics there and they said they were not strong enough to remove the two filters and to take it to another location. We took it to the one they sent us to and they wanted to charge Almost $400 for the filters and service, we had a FLEET Advantage agreement for under $300 for all the services. We wasted a day of our business. our time, and were treated very rudely, unprofessionally. We will never use them again for any of our trucks or personal vehicles.
2nd Times a charm.
I went to the 20815 Highway N location. After 1 day the Oil indicator was displaying. Upon leaving the office the next day, I noticed a puddle of oil underneath my vehicle.
I contacted the 1030 Gessner location since it was close to my job and explained my situation. After a brief inspection, they told me the previous location neglected to replace the oil filter and O-rang.
Thanks a million for going above and beyond. My engine could have been damaged on my impending trip!
I went for an oil change and was told I…
I went for an oil change and was told I needed a new battery. I told the person that my battery was new. The next day, my car would not start. I had the car looked at and discovered my battery was not put back in properly but the attendant at Valvoline. I believe this action was purposely done because of my refusal to purchase a new battery. I had absolutely no problem with my car starting all winter in below zero temperatures. One day after refusing a new battery, all of a sudden my car won't start. I had been a customer for over two years until yesterday. Valvoline in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, located at 70th Capitol.
Valvoline oil change - Omaha, NE
The store at 3845 N. 132nd Street in Omaha, NE is a big ripoff. Our daughter took her car there for an oil change and they talked her into a new battery. She wasn't having any problems with the battery AND the battery she had was still under warranty. Had they told her the date on the battery was still under warranty she could have gotten it replaced free. I called to discuss this with the Manager of the store and she defended their actions and then hung up on me. Don't go to this store if you expect customer service.
HORRIBLE HORRIBLE
Went to the one on Van Houten Ave in Clifton. Horrible service first of all supposed to be 15 minutes for an oil change, but I've been here for 45 minutes only I think they did it on purpose because I question them about a group on that I had where they charge me 25 extra dollars for it when I approached the manager, he gave me attitude told me that that's what I get for purchasing a Groupon. Pretty sure they made me wait on purpose because I complained stay away. They're all rude.
Upsales and false info
I go there for my oil changes. The service is good. BUT they are very pushy on up sales. I am taking a few pictures just before I go in next time.
I can't prove it but here are two examples:
1) Told me my trans was leaking. Took in and my mechanic that does the work when I don't want anymore says the amount of trans fluid that would be lost is about a teaspoon a year
.2) The other day. They showed me an oil cap ( I don't think it is mine but can't prove it.).With white contaminated oil. They try to say I need a total oil flush. I said no just change the oil. 3) I drove for almost a week and inspected the cap and dipstick. Clean as a whistle. If there was water and or antifreeze in the oil it would have showed up again.
Note:
1) Oil flush is never needed for that. The oil already has additives for that. And the car will burn that off with a few longer drives.
2) Minor Causes for that are: too many short drives , bad PCB value , poor oil cap seal.
3 Major Causes. Head gasket.
I don't like that they are giving me false information. And they should know better. I will give them one more chance.
Went here a year ago to get a…
Went here a year ago to get a transmission flush. Everything seemed fine until notice transmission leaks and finally a cooler hose popped off. Went to transmission mechanic and was informed how the flushes were done and that whoever did the flush installed the hose incorrect causing the problems. I reached out to store and the corporate customer service and was told i would be connected by a reginal manager .a few weeks later and still no call.... CASE 3CS1797520
$145 for an oil change! Awful Haverhill Ma
So we went to Valvoline oil to try them out instead of going to the dealership and they never explained the price and by the time we were done and the bill was at $145. That is a ridiculous. I only spend about maybe $75-$90 at the dealership And I have a high-end vehicle that requires synthetic oil. Also customer service could have been better. this was the Haverhill location in Massachusetts. These people are ridiculously over pricing customers for oil and then they charged me another $20 for another quart of oil after the fact that they stated oh yeah your vehicle took more oil that’s ridiculous. Never will go back here again.
Linworth oil change is GREAT!
I visited the Linworth 161 Dublin Granville Rd.,for an oil change because the manager Brian there has been a wonderful oil change and caretaker for my car. My husband bought me a van and Brian showed me when I was in the store how to check when the oil change was due. Great, reliable shop!
Over priced and sexist !
Over priced , complicated and sexist worse of all the sexism was from the manger at bridgwater location names Matt. I even called their hotline to complain and they did nothing about it . What a joke I’ll never go again!
I took My Car to Valvoline Instand Oil…
I took My Car to Valvoline Instand Oil change and you right that’s why they Call it instant they don’t take their time to do anything Right.🤮 🤦🏽Every scene they work on my car hasn’t been the same.Poor Service 😢
Go elsewhere. After using Valvoline for a few years…
After using Valvoline for a few years now to change my oil in 3 vehicles, as well as, 5 fleet trucks for work. I am no longer going to use them. Their tech got really snippy with me over using a coupon for service, when asked to talk to the manager, his reply was he will tell you the same thing. The manager came over and had a chip on his shoulder. The issue was I've always used coupons for oil changes including when I bring my own oil. The manager even looked up my account history and denied that I received discounts, until I pointed out that I had clearly on his screen. Most of their coupons state "with full service oil change", however some of their coupons just state "xx% off your next service". This is misinformation on their part. So basically they are losing my business + the business I bring them with my fleet vehicles and obviously all of my friends that I will inform about this experience. I will never step foot in a Valvoline again! Bad customer service. You should teach your techs to stay calm and not get in arguments with customers. Valvoline should train their managers to have better conflict resolution skills. Ultimately Valvoline has lost a customer over an $8 discount. That doesn't seem like wise business practice in my book.
Without permission they load tested damaged my battery
Without permission they load tested my good battery and I couldn't start my Frontier truck. They had to jump my, but not before offering me a new battery at a markup. Now my 5 year maintenance- free battery damaged will not take a charge barely making it home. Also beware Valvoline preemptively without asking, drains the oil from your dip-stick instead of the oil drain plug bypassing all the sludge at the bottom of the oil pan.
