An average of my two experiences

I used Village Taxis twice today. The first driver gets 5*. He was punctual, polite, took me where i needed to go, and there were no issues with payment.
Unfortunately, the second driver gets 1*. Went to the wrong place to pick me up, didn't seem to know the way, and asked inappropriate personal questions about my health. When it was time to pay he claimed the card payment wasn't working. Surprise surprise, when I paid cash he had no change, so got a completely undeserved tip.
If all the drivers were like the first one this would be an excellent service, but the second one leaves me hoping never to need to use Village Taxis again.

Great Service

Perfect arrived in plenty of time. Avoided traffic lights on our estate. The driver was very helpful and pleasant. I would highly recommend them .

Shockingly Overpriced – Avoid Unless You Want to Be Ripped Off

I was extremely disappointed with this taxi company. We were charged £44 for a 3.9-mile journey at 7 PM on New Year’s Eve, and then £44 for the same journey back on New Year’s Day at 12:30 PM. When we asked, we were quoted £44 for the complete round trip—but they still charged us £88 in total. I called them today to try to resolve this, but the staff were very rude and unwilling to help. There was no transparency about pricing, and it felt like a complete rip-off. While the driver was polite, the overall experience was frustrating and overpriced. I strongly advise checking other taxi options first.
