This site is either a scam or ...

This site is either a scam or staffed with totally incompetent people. I have tried twice to cancel my account and the charges keep coming. I phoned the VISA fraud number and will be cancelling my credit card, which is a pain but the only thing left to do. Brutal experience.

I AM PISSED!

I AM PISSED!! This company randomly charged me $39.99 starting in December and one in January. I tried to claim fraud with my Bank but because they somehow have ALL my information they couldn't prove it and I just got recharged! I called this company and the lady asked for my email - I told her (which I regret) and then proceeded to tell me all my information and when I signed up (which was November 2020). I asked how would one sign up and she said through the website - WHICH I HAVE NEVER BEEN TO THIS WEBSITE IN MY LIFE!!

Today I tried to request a password with viewhall since they have my email but when I typed in my email - it said "this email does not look to be registered with ViewHall"!! WHAT?!! WTH IS GOING ON!

Also the lady on the phone, proceeded to apoligize and say that they can cancel my membership and give me a 50% return!

I don't know what to do...this company needs to be flagged and investigated!

This is some kind of scam

This is some kind of scam. The message said my Netflix was being cancelled so I re-subscribed. Then I was charged $1.02 for some reason by these people.
This needs to be reported

ViewHall - Scam

Signed up for "free" and was charged $2.00 for no reason. Additionally, they didn't have the book I was looking for "Christianity: A Social and Cultural History". It's definitely a scam.

They claimed they had the book but ......

I Googled a book called, The Greatest Gift: The Story of the Fourth Wiseman by Susan Summers. I found a link that said I could download it for free - just sign up at Viewhall. It even said it confirmed it was there as of 30 seconds ago! I did that - I signed up with Viewhall. Once I did that, the book was no longer available!

They say you can sign up for free - absolutely no cost. They are correct, There is no feed for the sign up, but once you have signed up, they will give you a few days free and then start billing you every month.

I wrote to Viewhall asking where it the book you said you have and they replied. "We are sorry to hear that the book you were looking for is not available on our site. As we maintain thousands of literature, the one you were looking for may have recently been discontinued. We understand you were excited to read that specific book and we truly apologize for the inconvenience. We hope you can instead, enjoy one of our other books available from our online library."
How was it that it was there according to the website, and once I signed up it had been discontinued? I note they said the book "may have recently been discontinued". They are not saying that IS what happened but rather it MAY have happened. I guess the other option is that they never had it and used what ever I was looking for as bait to get me to sign up.

I immediately looked up how to cancel my membership. Amazingly, under the FAQ's on their website, 5 of the 10 FAQ's deal directly with cancelling memberships. If 5 of 10 FAQ's deal with cancelling memberships, that speak volumes.
