I never subscribed to the “screen recorder” program, but only to the “video solo player,” for just one month. So it was clearly ordered by me and I was simply sold it through deception. This seems to be the new trick for many companies to foist subscriptions on people. Therefore, a refund is in order, and I denounce the sales method as reprehensible and equivalent to phishing. Nowhere is the clear reference to tied selling explicitly stated.
I purchased the VideoSolo product in 2021 under the impression it was a one‑off payment. Without clear disclosure, that purchase was converted into a recurring subscription—one that offered no genuine option to cancel.
Fast forward to 2025, the company not only continued charging but also assumed renewal would automatically extend into 2026. This occurred despite my cancellation being lodged through PayPal back in 2021 to prevent any future renewals.
By hiding behind a reseller and shifting blame and responsibility, these two companies have chosen to profit at the expense of their customers. This practice is misleading, unethical, and exploitative. Shame on you for profiting through deception and disregard for consumer rights. Stay away from both and explore more ethical based vendors
Though their product is simple and easy to use, they trap you in an auto subscription that you are automatically signed up for and enrolled in. You will have to pay every year to use the software. This is a no go for me.
I was month to month at $9.95 for video screen recorder and then I was charged over $30 for one month. Check your credit card statements.

Videosolo is awesome! I had a regular zoom class going on but my work schedule changed and wasn’t able to participate for the class however thanks to VS I can record it and rewatch it later. Thank you VS!

Purchased this over 2 weeks ago and had nothing but download issues, contacted customer support on numerous occassions as well as the company direct, they constantly replied with same information and guidance. I asked for a refund and was simply told that there was nothing wrong with the product and that I cannot have a refund, their customer support leaves a lot to be desired as well as their attitude towards consumers...My recommendation is that you give this company a wide berth, especially if you are located in UK

The software is acceptable (does not function perfectly nor consistently without issues). However, the company has responded multiple times to my concerns and corrected license issues for me.
I have purchased from them multiple times, for different Windows-based computers.
If you upgrade your computer hardware (new motherboard/hard drive), you will have to contact them to get your license to work again (which will involve a wait as you explain what is wrong and wait for the time difference for a response).
They do not respond quickly as they are in a different time zone, and you must wait at least 24 hours for a response, depending on where you live, I am in Pacific Time. While you wait for a response you will not have a working product that you paid for.
So, if you purchase from them be aware that you will need to be in contact with them (over the years) to keep your software operating, be patient, and make sure you keep good purchase records.

I have been trying to reach Videosolo support for the past week, and they do NOT respond. I am trying to transfer my licence from an old computer to a new one and therefore need to code reset.

I purchased the video converter ultimate software some time ago and when I went to use it today it said I needed to update to the laterest software. When i did that I found that it had reverted to the trial version and when I tried to register I get a message saying 'The registration code has already been used. Error code 4104. I was able to eventually contact customer support by email and they replied to inform me that they had reset my activation code and I was able to get full access to the product purchased.

I really liked the video downloader, it is exactly what I have been looking for for a long time. It downloads videos in amazing resolutions and works perfectly. It made my job 100% easy.

I recommend this product. Having attention disorders, it's sometimes difficult for me to understand well during virtual meetings. With Screen Recorder, I can re-listen to a segment that I misunderstood in order to complete my notes and then destroy it.
With other video recorders we don't always have the option to adjust the section on our screen we want to record, and being a bit embarrassed by my condition, I like it to be discreet without annoying my pairs.
I appreciate we can also record only the audio.
I recommend this product and if I need video recording again in the future, I will definitely use Screen Recorder again.
