Poor Care, Accountability and treatment
As a long-standing client, I never imagined I would be writing this review.
I would not recommend this practice to anyone for the below reasons, it has taken me almost 5 months to be able to write this, and they have taken no accountability.
My previous dog in 2024 received exceptional care from this practice for over a year. Sadly, my experience with Teddy was completely different.
In Teddy’s final days From my perspective, there were delays in assessment, delays in receiving his pain relief prescription, and difficulties accessing timely care when Teddy needed it most. I believe these delays had a significant impact on Teddy’s comfort and meant he experienced unnecessary pain in his final days.
My concerns relate to the days leading up to his final visit.
Throughout the complaints process and mediation, I sought one thing above all else: acknowledgement that Teddy’s care in his final days fell below the standard he deserved. I never received that acknowledgement.
Teddy deserved dignity, compassion and timely care right until the end.
What I find hardest to come to terms with is that, instead of being able to spend Teddy’s final days simply being with him, comforting him and making memories, I was spending that precious time chasing appointments, requesting pain relief and begging for help because I believed he was suffering. Those are moments I will never get back.
I hope that by sharing my experience, no other family has to go through what Teddy and I did.
To highlight how little they care, I had Teddy for just under a year, even his sorry for your loss card said, all the years you and Teddy spent together , its really been so hard to write this review about a practice I trusted for so long but noone else should have to beg for there dog to be considered for an emergency appointment- when his appointments had previously been moved or delayed for emergencies- my boy wasnt worthy to them .
It seems since they started franchising the standard of care has dropped
