RYGG Weekender

I purchased a RYGG on 7 May 2025. Other than confirmation I received nothing further. Then I received an email on 18 May stating that the company was closing down. After a panic email to check I would still receive my order things then started to move, albeit at glacial pace. Then had the shock of a further £76 tax and duties to pay on top of the £220 I had already paid making this one of the most expensive purchases for my van (Brexit may be partly to blame here) The item arrived today 03/06/2025 and I am very pleased with it. Well made, looks lovely and neat, fits well in my van. Such a shame that the company will cease trading because their product is great, just the price that puts a lot of people off - it took me almost 2 years to decide to buy. I hope they can find a way to stay trading.

Extremely Disappointed – Overpriced, Delayed and Missing Parts

I placed my order with Vantale.de on 24 March 2025 and didn’t receive it until 11 May 2025—well beyond their promised 10-day processing time. Weeks of waiting with no clear updates made this whole experience frustrating and disappointing.

I paid £267 for just one base plate and two wall organisers for my motorhome, which is already overpriced. On top of that, I had to pay an additional £76.43 in customs charges. For this price, you’d expect at least the complete product—but they didn’t even include the mounting screws. Their website clearly states that screws and washers are included free of charge with wall base plate orders. What I received: zero screws.

Overall, this purchase felt like a rip-off. Poor communication, huge delays, missing parts, and unjustifiable pricing. I do not recommend Vantale and will not be buying from them again.

We’re truly sorry that your experience with VANTALE didn’t meet your expectations. We understand the frustration caused by the extended delivery time. The delay in your case was due to production bottlenecks at the time, and we sincerely apologise for not communicating more proactively.

Regarding the mounting hardware:
We’ve checked again, and nowhere on our website does it state that screws or washers are included with the wall base plates. We make this detail clear to avoid misunderstandings, as many of our customers use their own mounting systems depending on wall types.

As for the customs charges – unfortunately, we have no influence over local import taxes or fees set by UK customs. This is also stated clearly at checkout before purchase.

You mentioned the product is overpriced. That’s something we accept as subjective – but still, we wonder: if it felt unreasonable from the start, why proceed with the order?

Lastly, we were surprised to read that communication was poor. We maintain several channels: email, website chat, Instagram, and WhatsApp. We couldn’t find a message from you on any of them. If you had reached out, we would have resolved the issue immediately – that’s what we’re here for.
