I hired this service during a period of significant financial stress and was very transparent about that during the initial consultation. I shared that I needed meaningful, hands-on career support, quickly, and was assured that UWork could help me get back on my feet.
What was promised included ongoing coaching, interview preparation, active job search support, regular communication, and guidance throughout a multi-month process. What I experienced instead was limited communication, long gaps without updates, and deliverables that appeared to be largely AI-generated drafts with minimal customization.
Many of the core services outlined in the agreement were not provided, including consistent coaching sessions, recruiter outreach, application support, and proactive guidance.
In total, I paid $2,749 and was left without any meaningful, usable outcome from the services advertised, not to mention this was less than what is outlined in the $799 package. Aside from draft documents that did not meet the standard or scope promised, the core value of the program was never delivered.
I made multiple good-faith attempts to resolve this directly, including requesting a partial refund to reflect the services that were never delivered. That request was denied. I then escalated through my credit card company and provided detailed documentation, but the charge was ultimately upheld.
I am leaving this review to share my experience and encourage others to ask very detailed questions, get clear timelines in writing, and confirm what “delivery” actually looks like before committing financially, especially if you are in a vulnerable position.
This was a very disappointing and stressful experience, and I did not receive the level of support that was promised.
