There’s nothing special about the energy we sell. In fact, it’s exactly the same energy as all our competitors provide. But there is something special about the way we do it. Where others complicate the process, we simplify it. Where others confuse customers with hidden terms, we’re an open book. And where others do all they can to make as much money from their customers as possible, we do all we can to make as little. Everything we do, we do it differently. Our customers are a privilege. One we’ll never take advantage of.

Nathan a top man

Not only is Nathan unfailingly patient and helpful as well as being quick to respond to requests but he also makes you feel as if you are an important part of his day. Excellent to work with.

Had to drop one star.

CHECK UPDATE BELOW
Had to drop a one star because of the lack of communication once we signed up with UA. Before signing up, the guy was quick to respond and couldn't do enough for us. But once we signed up, he didn't respond to all but one ('forceful') email. Then no response again so in the end we lodged a complaint about his lack of communication. Contacted Steph about this and she sorted it immediately. The guy emailed a brief confirmation message within the hour. Time will tell how the service goes and I'll happily update on here.
The positives - excellent price, Steph very efficient, got things happening.
The negatives - communication from this one operative. Won't mention names as there may be an underlying reason for this.
UPDATE
Within minutes of writing this review, Ruth from UA rang me and, because of the above feedback, they are implementing a Welcome Letter. Excellent service in understanding the customer's needs. Thank you.

Excellent service

Super expert support with fantastic outcome

From the initial scoping call to the finalisation of our new contract, everyone I came in contact with was incredibly professional and helpful.

At the time we were experiencing a range of pressures and the team at Utility Aid (Nathan!) patiently helped me to navigate the process understanding the competing demands.

The outcome in terms of price and value were great. So glad I contacted them for support. It helped us immensely with a complex area where we may not have had the expertise or knowledge to have delivered the same outcome for ourselves.

Good company, very helpful and friendly

Esta Harris and her colleagues have been very easy to deal with. They are really good at communicating progress of any works they are undertaking for you and keep you up to date with how things are progressing, even if its to say nothing has changed since our last communication but we're still working on it and haven't forgotten you.
Utility Aid overall are very friendly and helpful, they have also always manged to resolve any problems we have gone to them with and proved to be very useful

Gas/electricity switch - superb

Our charity switched gas and electricity accounts to Utility Aid last September (5 accounts). UA handled the transfer and many subsequent issues due to supplier errors in an exemplary way. They are really good. When I compare UA's service with others they are streets ahead. Esta is the individual who has done most of this work. Really well done!!

Unacceptable Documents

Execting us to sign a Letter of Authority before carrying out a "free" audit or having any relations with the company is UNACCEPTABLE.
Worse, said letter expects us to sign that we understand their charging structure BEFORE telling us what it is.
They may the the best and most honest brokers in the world, but DO NOT sign this Letter of Authority as your first action for using their services - something we won't be doing.

Our Letter of Authority is required for us to make contact with your suppliers as a third party. We are legally obliged to have this before continuing. Without this, we are unable to provide any support to your organisation.

Our LOA is specifically created in a way that only allows us to gather the information that we need from the supplier. Many other unethical brokers have LOAs that give the broker access to everything, including placing contracts on your behalf. Our LOA does not. In providing the LOA, you are enabling the energy broker to access information from your existing suppliers including consumption data, contract end dates and contract prices. All this information is needed to be able to carry out our free energy audit. Our LOA is not exclusive and is not a broker agreement.

An important thing to note is that our LOA DOES NOT ALLOW us to place contracts on your behalf. We do all of the hard work behind the scenes and then present you with what we find. We will always require your approval and that will never change. We work with you, and you will always be made aware of what we are doing on your behalf.

In terms of our charging structure, we will always be transparent about this. Unless otherwise stated, all our quotes are presented with Utility Aid’s fees already included. Fortunately, these fees are payable directly by the supplier so you don’t need to worry about it. We would never hide these from our customers. Unfortunately, without an LOA we cannot provide you with this information because we are unable to collate any of your organisation's information. With our LOA not being exclusive, if you believe our services aren't right for your organisation, that's perfectly fine and you won't be tied to us in any way. Most importantly, we are dedicated to ethical energy provision and would never do anything without your input. We work in a simple, transparent and compassionate manner at all times.

Refund achieved

Energy provider failed to keep to contracted rates. Utility-Aid picked this up and pursued the overpayment for a refund. This took some time but the Utility-Aid team persevered until refund of over £1,000 was received. Very grateful to the team for helping with this.
