Aragon Accounting Overpromises and Under Delivers

$499 was charged to my business checking account by Aragon Accounting Corp. (USTaxStrategy.com) on 11/04/23 for tax planning services in advance for the month of November (11/04/23 - 12/04/23). However, I cancelled my account with this business on 11/07/23 due to their highly unprofessional conduct, lack of appropriate communication, black box pricing, and highly specious tax planning strategies. I requested the refund of the $499 from the proprietor, Eric Aragon, and never received the courtesy of a reply.

Meanwhile, the work delivered prior was subpar in the extreme: established deadlines were missed with no communication, there were errors in my final returns, etc. They even missed a very simple election filing that would have saved me tens of thousands of dollars. Furthermore, after being sold by the two leads (Eric and Andy), I was then assigned to a very young junior accountant who, while sweet, lacked the communication skills and knowledge to effectively service my corporation.

Meanwhile, they were charging me $499/month for tax planning services and yet couldn't be bothered to answer a basic email or return a phone call. I repeatedly had to track them down for even the most elemental questions. Lastly, when I finally had had enough and cancelled my agreement with Aragon Accounting Corp, they charged me an additional $499/month and refused to refund it! I was also told how my business ranked: “Frankly, it's on the low end of our customer list.”

In closing, when I transferred to a top rated corporate accounting group (who is much cheaper than Aragon, BTW), I was told that the "tax planning strategies" that I had paid for were INVALID in the state of CA, and were sure fire red flags for audits! At a minimum, I am requesting the refund of at least the last month of services paid for and not rendered due to my cancellation of the account.
