They charged me for damaged caused by the previous renter. Won't speak to me by phone or email about it. Won't respond to the insurance claim information filed by me or my credit card company beyond sending a copy of the rental agreement. They did not provide the vehicle inspection report they claimed was done at the time of my rental. At pick up they told me it was all paperless and would be emailed to me with the rental agreement, it was not. NEVER RENT A CAR FROM THEM

This was the most horrible car hire experience in my entire life. This company doesn't realise that they make the first impression for people visiting the country. And providing a terrible experience will easily project that to the whole country what is a shame. When I arrived I went to the meeting point and called the company to let them know I was there as there were no one to meet. They then told me that they are on lunch break and they won't pick me up for an hour!!!!!!! Yes you got it right! Lunch break! All together as a big happy family! Good for them. They had my flight number, they new exactly when I will arrive but no advance warning to highjack the plane and arrive earlier. There are 3 flights all day long to Rimini so it wasn't a difficult task to plan ahead for them but nevermind. After an hour wait I called again but then a lady picked up with no English and she hung up on me. After that they did not pick up the phone for an hour!!! So I wasn't even sure if it was a scam and if this company exists! I could not do anything but calling and calling with no luck. No help on Opodo either as they refer you to the provider who doesn't give a damn! Then finally they picked up, again after an hour of calling!!! I was told that a white minibus will pick me up and after another 40 minutes a completely different car came and I was finally taken to the office. The car was unmarked, the driver had no name badge or anything what could tie them to a company so basically you will sit in a stranger's car hoping that it will take you where you should go. After nearly 3 hours waiting I still had to queue at the office desk as obviously their lunch break made them busy afterwards.
This was an unacceptable service. Absolutely shocking and disgusting how much they just don't care. Pay a bit more for a decent company. U Save nothing with this incompetent bunch of people!!! U Save time, money, frustration, and years of your life by avoiding this joke of company. Never again!!!

Cheap is not always the best. They added a liability insurance requirement of $50/day (including taxes) when we picked up the car. Their shuttle to FLL airport only operates during the day. You will have to uber at other times. The claim of declining the liability was not given as an option. We were basically forced to pay for the liability coverage inspite of buying the collision coverage. USAVE should be renamed U DONT SAVE

⭐ Warning: Misleading and Deceptive Billing at U‑Save Fort Lauderdale
I booked a 4‑day rental through Expedia for $27 CAD total, which seemed like a great deal and obviously too good to be true. When I arrived, the agent claimed I had to pay mandatory liability insurance ($40 USD/day) despite no disclosure at booking. I showed my valid travel Visa insurance that at least covers collision, yet they still charged me unauthorized collision fees ($10 USD/day) without my consent, initials, or a proper contract (I did not know they did this till we returned the car) When I asked for an itemized receipt at checkout, the contract suddenly showed $479 USD!!! far more than the $270 USD ATM receipt I was first given. The agent gave a weak "oh must be a computer glitch” excuse and only removed the extra random $209 when I questioned it. At no point did they do a proper walk around inspection, and the staff acted evasively as if hoping I wouldn’t push back. We decided to do a video of the car ourselves in case there was fraudulent charges after the fact.
This experience felt completely misleading and extremely unprofessional, and I do NOT recommend renting from this U‑Save location. Ps. If you try to email or call to file a complaint , none of the phone numbers work and the emails bounce back. Scam!! STAY CLEAR. Pss. The car was dirty!!
Follow up: I see your reply and this is my response to that. I showed valid proof from my travel visa insurance that the COLLISION WAS COVERED they nodded and agreed. Yet!!! Still charged the $10usd/ day without my consent or knowing till checkout. Standard practice is to do a walk around the car before and after and sign something that shows nothing was wrong with car before and after, yet, neither was done. Not before. Not after. Hence us taking it upon ourselves to do a video to protect ourselves. Charging me an extra $209 out of nowhere is an absolute red flag and scam. What if I didn't take the time to look or notice. What if I didn't question it to the point where she finally fixed it. And trust me it took pushing before the random fraudulent amount was removed. To blame it on a glitch in the computer is ridiculous. Also charging mandatory $40usd/ day for liability insurance is insane. No other company charges this much. Everything from start to finish was a disaster. There were people in line in front of us fighting about fraudulent charges as well. None of your phone numbers work. None of your support emails work. And that form you are sending me to, also doesn't work. When I go to your website and try to click support it freezes and goes NO WHERE. I'm not one to complain or go out of my way to write these reviews. But I've never experienced anything so deceptive in my life.

They come up as an option to book with easyJet but we spent more time waiting for the car than we did on the flight to Manchester. They then charged us £120 for a booster seat, non refundable.
However the guy handling our booking was very helpful and kind.

Remember my last review?? Feb-22-2026 - "I use car rental frequently and, this is by far the WORST car rental company I have ever dealt with.... Well, you can see the rest if you scroll down to this date Feb-22-2026... After I posted the review, I was contacted via email by some guy called "Chris".... if that is a real name...he asked me for proof that the amount had in fact been charged to my cc which, I did provide, and that he would "look into it". Then, the next day, he sends another email saying that he is still "looking into it" and trying to resolve it which, could take 14 days to complete....14 DAYS??? I have been waiting for over two months and still had to wait 14 DAYS more?? Well, here we are on Apr-07-2026 and guess what.... STILL I HAVE NOT RECEIVED MY MONEY {US$750.00}!!!
So, to all you potential clients out there looking to rent a car in the Ft Lauderdale area or anywhere else for that matter, BEWARE!!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY U-Save as well s, their subsidiary Green Motion International. These companies are VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND DISHONEST COMPANIES!!!

I booked a car using carjet for collection from u save rent a car, which looking at the franchise pages on their websites is the same company as green motion, the u save office near manchester airport seems to double as the green motion office. I received a voucher for collection via email, the email stated I would only need my driver's licence and passport to collect the car as well as flight information if I was flying in.
Hidden in the voucher however were instructions stating I needed proof of address if I was renting the car as a UK resident, it did not state the type required and i always have access to the commonly accepted POA as pdf files.
When I arrived at the usave/green motion office at Manchester airport they tell me they won't accept the passport and I need 2 proofs of address which need to match my driver's licence and are less than 3 months old AND be some kind of government document, they don't take bills and bank statments like everyone else, none of which is mentioned anywhere in the voucher. I explain this and try to provide proof of my current address but they aren't having it and won't give me my money back as the booking is through carjet and directed me back to them.
The rep was very unhelpful and offered no solution whatsoever and seemed more interested telling me i should have read the voucher, despite the voucher not giving specifics about the required documentation, and this information not being avaliable before making the booking. I had to try and get a refund from carjet and wasted over £20 on taxi rides to and from the office plus last minute train tickets.

"Absolute scam! Avoid U-Save at LAX. They claimed our car was full when it was half-empty (I had to take a picture to prove it). Then they forced an upgrade at my expense because they didn't have the car I reserved. They added 'unlimited tolls' for LA, a city without tolls, and wouldn't accept my personal insurance. Total bait-and-switch tactics."

I arrived early to get my rental. The Long line was indicative of the issues with USave. People in line said they'd been waiting for 30 mins plus. Multiple people looked distressed and angry. A woman was visibly upset, her reservation was canceled by the company and they would not help her. I booked through Economy Bookings, purchased full coverage and when I finally got to a human, she told me I needed to purchase Liability insurance, adding over $300 to the rental. Only a couple of insurance companies could be used to cover liability - I only remember GEICO being one of them. This notice was only seen at the counter, so after a 30 min wait, SURPRISE! We don't take your insurance but by adding hundreds of dollars, you could get a crap car and roll the dice. I had read all they had on their website and even found a section stating "If you aready purchased Full Coverage
or are comfortable with the rental company's standard deposit, you may decline the rental company's extra insurance". Terrible business practices! The poor reviews are REAL

No transparency about which insurance companies they accept to cover liability! I and multiple people before and after brought proof of liability. No one had any idea that their specific company would not be accepted. Where is the list of accepted insurance companies?

Total scam. Booked a car and when we arrived they told us they won’t accept Progressive Car insurance. Told us it would be $59 a day for insurance. The people beside us they told they that they cancelled their reservation the day before and would have to rent a more expensive car. 6 families walked out and went to a different car rental company.

Hired a car for a member of staff. They wanted £2000 deposit for 50+ year old driver.
When i explained it was for our business, they wanted to add me on the insurance for another £963 for me to be able to pay the deposit. Asked to cancel the car and they took the hire money of over £800 . over a month later and we have had nothing back.
