U-Save operates a car hire desk at Liverpool John Lennon Airport (LPL), based inside Business First at 25 Goodlass Road, Liverpool, L24 9HJ. This page also covers the Liverpool Hunts Cross Station and Liverpool South Parkway desks. Local customers and vehicle returns should head directly to the rental station, park in any available bay, and check in at Reception. Customers arriving at the airport terminal can be picked up free of charge from the Drop-Off 2 Car Park, following the red pedestrian path to the bike stand and calling the branch for pick-up, or from the Premium Express Car Park, where staff meet customers at the blue shelter near the yellow submarine (a £5 barrier charge applies on exit from this car park). Desk opening hours (local time): every day 08:00–18:00, including public holidays.

Unexpected charges and poor transparency

I booked with U-Save at Liverpool Airport, opting for the all-cover package, only to face an additional £200 non-refundable charge at the desk that I did not feel was clearly explained to me. I initially understood the payment to be part of the security deposit. Despite raising a complaint, the issue was never resolved to my satisfaction. Be very careful and make sure you understand exactly what you’re paying for before handing over your card. Also, the driver was 1 hour late collecting us from the airport.
