They voided the warranty on my $5k computer because of their mistake!!

Just under a year ago, I bought a gaming laptop for almost $5k in Sweden. A fan was broken, so the whole computer messed up. I turned it in and got it fixed. But at the same time, I handed it in because one of the USB ports had "sunk down" and no longer worked. The computer had been in the same place for months, and the port had been unused for a very long time. It must have been a manufacturing defect that it was too loosely attached and sunk down by itself.

First off, they ignored the USB issue, so I had to send it in again. After a week, they said it would cost $3k to fix the issue and that the warranty was NOW VOID because the computer had software damage 🤯

The computer cost ***** $5k, and I'm supposed to pay $3k for a small USB port? In other words, I'm supposed to pay for a mistake they made!! They've taken my money. LET ME KEEP THE WARRANTY AND FIX YOUR ***** MISTAKE!

Won’t recommend and ever buy again!

MSI B650I Edge. Disgusting experience

Sells us motherboards with dead battery, then send dead battery as replacement. The last resort is return.

Disgusting experience. Support was very unresponsive, didn't catch ANY details completely incompetent, had to re-explain everything and they took between 2-4+ days to reply each time if they even replied at all. You got the feeling of a completely careless support hoping as many people are out of warranty when issues arise.

Terrible laptop, terrible customer service

bought a high end laptop around a year ago. I was treating it with utmost care (for OLED screen, I went complete dark mode), ensured that gpu and cpu are not overloaded for too long when playing, using also the very loud extra fan. However, I started to have visual glitches and Blue Screen of Death. I reset the laptop into factory conditions, didn't solve the issue. Now by stop using HDR, switching off the MUX switch, the issues seem to be resolved, but in order to use the laptop as intented, they asked me to remove the intel graphics driver with DDU (takes half a day, last time i did it, I thought I broke the computer as the screen wouldn't start until the fifth time i restarted), update the BIOS, do this do that, most of it nothing to do with their crappy hardware. Honeslty, next time I will just buy a cheaper computer, as this one is already out of date and combine it with an OLED TV. At least if the laptop breaks i still have the TV as a monitor. MSI, never again. I will wait until Lenovo makes laptops with OLED screens...

Support people are lazy and incompetent

Support people are lazy, unprofessional and do not know anything about their products: I asked for a connector JPWR pin out diagram, they are not even capable to locate the documentation. And language they are using, customer skills are below zero. Do not buy their products.

MSI it is a scam

Bought a msi mag tomahawk x670e MB while msi was having a promotion to claim 30 EUR back from that purchase.
So, I followed the procedure, they replied back to me asking for some pictures of the serial number on the MB itself and it doesn't have one !!! but I do have (obviously) the serial number and the receipt, I have all the details which I forward to them and now they don't reply back to me... Because of 30 EUR :D :D
MSI, grab the 30 EUR you stole from me and stick them where the sun doesn't shine.

Atrocious customer service

Atrocious customer service. Placed an order. Yes, I did receive it. On time and packed well. However, when requested an invoice for this order, MSI responded only once, did NOT provide the invoice, and ignored 6 other requests for the invoice completely.
Opened a return request within the 30-day period, as I didn't need the order without the invoice (the box was still unopened/factory sealed). The system informed me that I would be contacted by an MSI representative. No contact again. 0 communication. And the return feature completely disappeared from the page.
I would not recommend buying from MSI

Hard drive failure 6 weeks after warranty

Hard drive failure 6 weeks after warranty ran out. Replacement was installed incorrectly, and while they did correct it I was without a $5,000 laptop for two months as a result. Now there's a fan making a terrible noise and I'm sure going out in this machine less than two years old that has been babied. Avoid MSI at all costs.

MSI (Micro star international) very unhappy

MSI (Micro-Star International) AU Region - After Sales Support has left me with a negative impression of this company and its products. I bought a notebook in one region and then returned to my home region, only to discover that MSI operates independently in each region, including the management of their devices. At the time of purchase, I believed MSI to be an international brand. Unfortunately, they do not seamlessly support customers who move between regions.

If you ever need additional services such as extended warranties, make sure to request them upfront, as they can waste a year of your life and won't assist you if your device is not in their region. It's disappointing that when you purchase computer hardware from companies with a global presence, you may have to accept the reality of being treated differently based on the region where your device was purchased, regardless of whether you live or travel globally.

Don't buy an MSI laptop

I paid $4000 for a laptop, It has been overheating since I bought it. It fried my motherboard and they (allegedly) have repaired it. The laptop has been sent back FOUR times. It still overheats and the store (BEST BUY) says they can't do anthing about this because overheating is NORMAL for these laptops. Avoid this product and while your at it, avoid Best Buy too!!!!!!! Poor customer service and downright rude when challenged. GO ELSEWHERE!!!!!!

Horrible customer service

Horrible customer service! I will NEVER buy another MSI product again. My question on my 2 week old Katana was never answered, my 2 problems weren't solved & CSR didn't seem to care that there is a potential for severe harm due to fire from the charger/power cord over heating. Didn't try to work with me to find a solution to the power cord over heating, NEVER addressed my initial problem of system automatically switching to battery power when gaming, even though it's plugged in & basically said here's your option, take it or leave it. Tried to tell me the over heating power cord is "normal".

Wonderful laptop for everything.

Out of all the MSI products I like the Katana laptop.
I managed to buy it at a reasonable price on some holiday deal and didn’t regret a penny spent on it.
It is my main workhorse, plus I can run almost all games I like on it without any troubles or freezes.

I am a 3rd generation MSI laptop owner…

I am a 3rd generation MSI laptop owner and will never buy from them again. I got a lemon GS66 roughly two years prior. Last July, I experienced a few keys that had broken off, which was not a big deal, but was annoying enough having to pay to replace (since it would take much longer to have it fixed via sending to MSI). However, then entire keys on the laptop's keyboard starting to go out. I attempted to have this fixed under the warranty since, at the time, it would still have been covered under the limited 1 year. However, because I had bought the laptop from a 3rd party, and they had bought the laptop prior, the limited warranty did not apply, and it would have needed to be fixed out of pocket. I have had some horrible customer support, but nothing rivaling this. Will not be a 4th gen customer after this.

Edit: I will note, that both of my prior two laptops worked great and I even still have the 2nd gen one which I gave to my wife. However, this recent laptop is just poorly built.

I purchased a new MSI Titan laptop…

I purchased a new MSI Titan laptop (with the rtx4090) for over $5,000, shortly after using it the raid failed and the laptop became useless as with the raid0, the setup the laptop is sold in, any raid failure is a complete failure of the computer to start. I reformatted the drives and set it up in a non raid format and shortly after had another failure and was able to determine the bad hard drive causing the failures; again, on a brand new laptop.
But, hardware isn't perfect and defects happen. So I called MSI and they would not RMA the hard drive and instead I had to send the entire laptop back to them, at MY cost and with MY shipping materials. This was the second disappointment, even Dell pays to ship their laptops to them when they have an issue related to something breaking that's covered under warranty. Which is good business sense, why should a customer have to incur a cost for you selling them something that is defective.
My third issue is their turn around time, It takes minutes to swap out a hard drive; and I was told it would be fixed within two weeks of them receiving it. They received it several weeks ago, and have even changed the status to actually repairing it, DAYS ago. How does it take several DAYS to fix one laptop with a bad M.2 hard drive. I've swapped out hard drives many times, it takes minutes. Even if they did a swap out and completely reformatted all the drives and reinstalled all the software, you are still talking just hours of it sitting there while the software is put back on the drives.
Who knows when this will be done and shipped back, but it is past how long I was told it would take, which even from the beginning was excessive for a new laptop.
What should have happened, was they should have just sent me a brand new one, and thanked me for purchasing their product; not forced me to wait weeks for them to fix a defective new laptop.
Overall, I would not purchase from them again. Their lack of customer service and lack of regard for their customers or building any brand loyalty, shows just how far from the pack this company is now a days.
Look elsewhere.
