parcel going missing in Kohln Germany
This rating is not in respect of the majority of my UPS shipments which arrive safely.
This review is regards a parcel I shipped to Kazakhstan in January from Spain & which vanished on the 2nd of Febuary in Kohln Germany at the sorting center.
It was impossible to open a claim via the web site, receiving a constant, "UPS does not recognize your form of payment" (I paid via PayPal), spoke to a guy who was very helpful, many emails later I was told that he had instigated a search, though later found this to be incorrect for they claim not to have received the form I was required to fill out.
Found I was unable to view online the label I had bought to check for errors, contacted UPS again to be told that after 2 months I could not open a claim.
The parcel has vanished, it simply fell off the map on the 2nd of Feb in Germany, my buyer never received any notification from UPS regards customs etc, nor have I, are there any other UPS users who have had the same issue?

The slowest, least reliable courier service I've ever come across.
My express package 3 WEEKS LATER still hasn't arrived due to their lack of communication regarding customs paper work. I had to reach out to them myself multiple times and ask how can it speed it up, what is needed etc, sent all paperwork back within minutes, yet they still held it forever!!!
Package, once finally was out for delivery and stated it will arrive between 12:00-15:00 and at 16:03 got rescheduled as they claim on my request!! Meanwhile I'm at home waiting all day, checking tracking number for updates, changing plans for the day as I really needed my package to be safely delivered before my travels that I also had to reschedule.

Unreliable Service, Hidden Costs, and Lack of Insurance Refund Result in Disappointment
My recent experience with UPS has been deeply disappointing. Despite paying 40 euros for a service through ParcelCompare, the shipment encountered significant delays in customs clearance and was ultimately returned to the UK in a damaged state. What's worse, I was unexpectedly charged £264.83 by ParcelCompare for the return, adding insult to injury.
Despite assurances, UPS failed to collect the parcel for investigation within the promised timeframe of five working days, leaving me in limbo. This lack of reliability, transparency, and accountability is concerning, and I cannot recommend UPS based on this experience.
Adding to the frustration, despite the parcel being insured for 50 euros by UPS, I have not received any refund or insurance money for the damages incurred. In conclusion, UPS's service fell short of expectations, and I urge others to exercise caution when considering their shipping options.

Does not work at all! They do not call you, customer services is just automat, in the end of the day they say that you was not at home but they never come. It is not first experince, they lie. It is imposible to call with human being. Do not co-operate with UPS Spain ever.
ANOTHER FAILING COURIER SERVICE
My delivery is already an hour later than the designated 2 hour time slot and I have not received any update or message.
I don’t mind a little bit of give and take but it is the arrogance of these big companies who can’t be bothered to text an apology and update so you can fit in other day to day tasks whilst waiting.
Don’t waste your time with the AI chat as like 99% of them it’s a waste of energy.
UPDATE:
Package arrived nearly 3 hours after the time slot and no apology. It actually never left the UPS facility in Malaga until 15 minutes after the time slot had expired so no excuse for not updating customers by text or email provided.

Awful service with no straight answer regarding delivery of my parcel. Multiple emails and multiple calls over a 3 week period after paying for next day delivery and my parcel is still in a warehouse somewhere with no one able to get it returned or to its recipient. All relevant paperwork provided!

UPS in Spain is the lowest quality level of service. My package had to be delivered on 19th February. I was at home all day just to receive it. Suddenly I get notification that courrier couldn’t meet me at home and he left package at pick up point. So the courrier didn’t knock, call or try to meet me in any way. It is probably much easier to leave it at pick up point. I called support and they promised to bring the package to me the next day. It didn’t happen. Then, I contacted support through e-mail and they promised to bring it to me again in next 2 days. As you can guess, I’ve never seen the package. So, overall, if I would want to pick package myself at some place I would not pay for UPS delivery. In my opinion they are not doing their job as they should. I honestly DO NOT RECOMMEND anyone to use UPS services. They don’t deserve any customers with this trash level service!
Box Damaged, missing items
This is the nth time UPS fails to do the bare minimum. They rescheduled the delivery, then missed it, and rescheduled it again. When it finally arrived, the box was torn, and it had been taped together, but half of the items were missing. Now I have to talk to the seller because the UPS form for claims is made as hostile as possible and I can't select what happened to me.

Too bad I didn't read these reviews before dropping off a parcel in Grand Canaria on January 7th. The parcel only cantains personal items, this is not a commercial transaction and shipper and recipient are both situated in the EU. After multiple BS e-mail exchanges, today is January 30th and my parcel still hasn't moved an inch. Am I ever going to receive my package???

This situation has already repeated several times when the courier is too lazy to come to my house. I’m at home, no one called me and then I receive a message that the courier was unable to deliver the parcel (?!!). And take the parcel to pick-up point convenient for HIM, not for me. Nobody came, nobody tried to call me, my phone was in my pocket.
And I have to go there, spend additional money on a bus and waste my time. I already paid for delivery to my door.
You cant just change the point on your site, you need some additional code, that could never be found.

Absolutely, totally, 120% incompetent - avoid at all cost if you're in Ibiza or Spain! One star is too good for this company. I have now had four messages confirming a delivery window - so I've waited in four times. Each time - nothing happens. They can't even trace where the parcels are in their systems. I went to their supposed depot this morning - no desk, no help and a queue of seven desperate people all trying to trace their missing items. I will be checking who the courier is in future and will avoid retailers who use UPS on the island. When you have one job to do - do it well or don't bother at all.

When the order is placed it's normally to late to decline.
I recently waited more than 3 weeks for a parcel from Switzerland. First UPS told me they could not deliver it to the given address, so I selected an address for pickup which they suggested, then they informed me that they can't deliver to this address, when I asked them again where I can get my parcel I did not get any reply for another week, then I learned that they already returned it to the sender but will return it to Ibiza and finally after 2 weeks I got another shop address (also not a UPS shop of course) and then I had to wait another 3 days to pickup my consignment.
All the time I was in contact with the seller, the UPS headoffice (in Madrid) and the local contact, but there was hardly any response. They only told me the local contact would call me,what they never did. The headoffice knows what a disaster their organisation is, but they don't do nothing to improve the situation!
Horrible experience, broken parcels and rude customer service
I sent two different parcels, everything went wrong. The advise from customer service is always wrong or has missing information, they are rude and hang up on you when you ask for information and refer you to read the email instead of wasting their time!
One parcel arrived open and with a broken zip, the other one has fragile signage everywhere and everything was covered in bubble wrap, yet even before opening the box it already sounded it had broken pieces inside.
The delivery time took 3 times longer than expected and no one takes responsibility. I am still waiting for the receipt from customs and need to continuously chase the company to get answers, without getting any.
PLEASE AVOID USING UPS AT ALL COSTS! THEIR SERVICES ARE EXTREMELY POOR, THEY WON´T LOOK AFTER YOUR PARCEL AND THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL.
